@Hashtag Mobile Tech how do you think SLR Magic 8mm (color and sharpness) with G7? i'm using kit 14-42 but at 14mm ít very bad ( sharpness and color)!!! i'm find a lens wide fix 8mm of 12mm
Good to see people still shooting MFT. Im still with the G7.

@ yeah for video it's awesome! Right now I just have the 20mm 1.7 with a variable nd. I'm looking to get a gimbal because there is zero stabilising but idk how I can keep using MF.

That's awesome! For the longest time I only had the G7 with the 20mm F1.7 with a gimbal. And I was able to get great shots. When using a gimbal I usually use manual focus and try to maintain the same distance from the subject to make sure I nail focus!
Just picked up a G7 w/ kit lens for $240 and it’s fantastic. With the dawn of the hyper mirrorless cameras like the G7, GX7, EOS M series (barring the M6 mk2), Sony NEX cameras have all dropped in price dramatically because people are constantly looking for better when in reality they have a great camera but never used them to their full potential.
Wonderful footage. What I love about your list is that all these are relatively affordable and can almost do it all as a kit. Hard to beat the value of MFT!
My favorite set up so far is 12-35 f2.8 25 f1.7 35-100 f2.8 But the one I have used the most that is versatile is the 12-35 f 2.8. It has saved me from constantly changing lenses and missing shots.

Fantastic video. I am basically a new Lumix user. I saw the picture quality of the GH4 and was totally blown away, but my main quirk with GH cams was the small m43 and the lowlight problem that it could present. However, I took a chance and purchased a used GH5 from a friend, and now I have to confess that I'm a Lumix GH fanboy. This increased when I purchased the infamous Sigma 18-35 EF mount lens. Even with just a regular adaptor, I am getting stunning photos and pics from this camera, and surprisingly I was forced to buy a 1-6 ND filter based on the amount of light coming into the sensor. My first job was an outdoor movie feature/runway model presentation, and I must admit I was really then, there weren't any bright lights, just coloured, but when I turned on "The Beast" I was like 😱😳. Now I think I might looking into 7.5 & the 42.5 lens. I really prefer larger lenses based on the robust and pro look that they give to my rig, but let see what happens. Agai, fantastic video, and keep up the good work.
I have a G7 too, and the lens I am loving now is the Yongnuo 50mm f1.4 full frame, adapted to M43 (electronic adapter). The sharpness looks great without a speedbooster, which was a pleasant surprise, and becomes a sick 100mm portrait lens. Autofocus is horrible though, but it's still salvable. Definitely worth experimenting with. Lumix 25mm F1.7 is the main work horse still to hold it down.

Autofocus with a lens that is not native Lumix/panasonic is not going to work well ever. If you are using native lenses, make sure the setting switch is set to AFC and then Continuous Af IS SET TO ON, eye sensor AF on

Great video. As an mft user since 2009, I have my own favorites, namely Panasonic 14/2,5, 20/1,7, 25/1,4, 45/2,8 and for zoom 12-60/2,8. My Olympus collection consists of the BCL-15, 17/1,8, 25/1,8 and 45/1,8. 7Artisan 18/6,3 II. Use them all regularly
Thank you for making this. I like your attitude. For video, I could understand the preference for primes with faster apertures. I shoot primarily stills. For live action documentary situations in terms of ultra-wide, the flexibility of the Lumix 8-18mm opens realms. There is nothing like wading into the middle of a crowd and being able to frame or open up in a second to cover the action. And another plus for the Lumix 42.5 over the Oly 45mm is its near macro capabilities. Cheers.

Hi there Vitor, I wanted to know, which of these lenses you’ve mentioned would be best to shoot interviews and journalistic work? Great video by the way!☺️
3 роки тому
Hi Gabriela! I would recommend the Lumix 20mm f1.7 to shoot interviews and journalistic work (the Lumix 42.5mm f1.7 is also very nice for interviews, but the 20mm is much more versatile)! Thanks very much for watching!
Hey great channel. Im a new in this and just bought the Panasonic g9. Im looking for a good lens to vlog handheld. Can you recommend a good lens at a low price. You got a new subscriber from Norway.
3 роки тому
Hey! Thanks very much for the support! It's greatly appreciated. The best lens that I can think right now for you purpose might be the Lumix 12-35mm f2.8... But take in mind that, it doesn't have that ultrawide feeling that we're used to see on UA-cam...
Do I need an adapter in order to use the ultra wide angle lens on my Panasonic Lumix G7 ? I'm asking because it's saying on amazon that my specific camera will not fit with this lens
3 роки тому
If you get the laowa 7.5mm f2 with Micro four thirds mount - M43 (like mine), you will not need any adapters! Thanks very much for watching 🙂
Hey Vitor! Another amazing video, I was wondering what gimbal you can recommend for the G7? From what I've heard, it's too lightweight for some of the DJI ones. Keep up the work!!
3 роки тому+2
Hey George! Thanks very much man! Yeah the G7 is very lightweighted (depending on the lens you're using). But I think any gimbal that supports a 2kg payload will be fine! For me I use the feiyutech a2000 (very old and cheap 😉) Thanks very much for watching
Hey my brother nice content, i just got my first camera today the lumix GH4 body only. I want to venture into videography only and my budget is a bit low i can only afford one lens (Prime) at the moment so which one would you recommend for music videos and wedding videography
3 роки тому+1
Hey! That's awesome man! I wish good luck on your videography journey! The prime lens that I woul recomend is the Panasonic Lumix 20mm f/1.7! It's a great lens for sure... and very sharp as well!
@ thank you so much will surely go for that lens as you've suggested and keep the good content coming it's much appreciated you just don't know how deep...
Hey I really like your videos and I just got my g7. Is 14-42 kit lens good for video?
3 роки тому+1
Hey Simon! Thanks for stopping by! That's awesome I hope you enjoy your new camera! The 14-42 kit lens is not ideal for video, but the most important thing is to get started using your camera with the gear that you already have and then decide what lens may be the best for your style! Although if you want to invest in a good lens, I recommend the Lumix 20mm f/1.7! It's a great lens... and very sharp!
Fala Vitor! Grande conteúdo! sobre a laowa, ela aceita filtro ND? tenho a lumix 14mm...ja usou? ela se equipara com a pankake 20mm? Grande abraço! ate mais.
3 роки тому+1
Friend, since I've been having lots of problems with the speed of my current SD card. Could you please tell me what sd card would be perfect for recording with my camera Lumix g7?
3 роки тому+2
Hey! I always shot in 4K both on my G7 and GH5 (10 bit on my GH5) I use the "sandisk extreme pro 170mb/s v30" on my G7 and GH5 and I never had any issues. Totally recommend it. Thanks very much for watching.
Hey. I have my new G7 trying to upgrade with new lenses. I have a "good" Pentax K mount lens. I also bought an adapter with a manual aperture ring for "no aperture ring" Pentax lenses (the today's ones), but it seems that putting the max aperture in the ring doesn't "open" the aperture to the max as I can see doing it mounted on my Pentax cam (seems the internal edge that is pushed has to move aprox.1mm more). I don't know if it's fault of the adapter and if i should "hack it" adhering 1mm "piece of something" in the lever of the adapter to solve it. Did you have any experience with such adapters?
3 роки тому+1
Hey Luis! Thanks very much for watching 🙂 I don't have experience with those adapters. The only "adapter" I use is the Viltrox EF-M2 II speedbooster for EF mount lenses...
@ Thank you for your answer. Seems there is an error in the design of those adapters, so I will try to use others or change the lenses for M43 ones. Thanks anyway.
3 роки тому+1
@@luisangel2978 that's unfortunate... Good luck man 🙂
If you only had budget for one of these lens, which one would you buy: 20 mm or 42.5 mm? thank you.
2 роки тому+1
Although the 42.5mm is better for focusing, I would choose the 20mm because of its versatility! I love the 20mm, it's probably my favourite lens! Thanks for watching!
Thanks Vitor. Thats Extremely Valuable. Do You Can Recommend The Panasonic 25mm 1.7? There Are A Lot Of Controversial Opinions On UA-cam About That Lens. Some Say It's Terrible And Some Say It's A Great Lens. Would Appreciate Your Take On That. Cheers!
I've just recently filmed a music video with the 25mm on my g7 and found it to be brilliant. Great for photos too
3 роки тому+1
Thanks very much! Actually I never got to use the Lumix 25mm f/1.7, so I can't give you an informed opinion. But I definitely understand your point! There's a lot of mixed opinions about that lens here on UA-cam! And you just gave me a video idea: "The battle of the Lumix 20mm Vs 25mm f/1.7" 😂 But for that I would have to buy the 25mm though 🤪 Thanks very much for watching!
Hey Vitor! Which lenses would you recommend for urban video (maybe low-light) and landscapes? I already own the 14-140mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 kit lens, but I am not able to get very sharp images.
2 роки тому+1
I also own the 14-140mm but that's a bad lens in my opinion. The 3 options that I talked about in this video are a great combo! Thanks for watching
Hello there, with these three lenses will it crush a full wedding with filming and photography?
3 роки тому
Hey! Yes they will! Check out 2 video weddings that I made using only these 3 lenses + the Panasonic G7 & GH5: Wedding no.1 ua-cam.com/video/_Oda8oXrE3s/v-deo.html Wedding no.2 ua-cam.com/video/z_68CJZiMSQ/v-deo.html Even though I did film these 2 weddings with only the 3 lenses from this UA-cam video, I do recommend to get the sigma EF mount 18-35mm f1.8 + Viltrox EF-M2 speedbooster. That is a powerful lens and you wouldn't have to change lenses all the time. Because trust me, when you are filming a wedding, time is money !
I have the kit 14-42 mm and the 25 mm Leica, I am have been dreaming about the Laowa 7.5 mm, may be in the next months 😔
3 роки тому+1
That's awesome! I know that the Laowa is not the cheapest lens, but I think it's worth every penny! Looking forward for you to try it! And make sure you let me know what you thought about it when you do! Thanks very much for watching!
Hey Vitor it's me again - sorry if it seems like I'm trolling your videos but I'm learning so much from you! One of my challenges is that I have 2 of my cameras on automatic sliders (I don't have anyone to man a gimbal) so with the kit lens I usually keep the aperture at around 10 to minimize focus issues. Do you think the 2 Lumix lenses you suggested would still give me benefit? Or do you have techniques you use to allow that 1.7 aperture without requiring more focus changes on a camera that's in motion?
3 роки тому
Hey! No worries... I'm here to help whenever I can, so be sure to reach out whenever you need to! If you're using only the kit lens, I think that you will see drastic changes on your image quality if you try those 2 Lumix lenses that I talked about. If you are using 2 automatic sliders you can also set up the lens to f1.7 as long as you don't move back and forth too much... Thanks for watching 🙂
@ Awesome thank you for your reply. Many creators don't respond, so thank you. Your videos on the Lumix Gh7 have added a ton of value to my production thank you so much, I look forward to more of your content. Do you have any videos about setting up room lighting and ambiance lights correctly with Lumix to get that cinematic quality like in your background explianers? That would be awesome. Cheers!!!

Color correction and colour grading also plays a huge part in the final result of the footage!
Thanks for watching!
Hi there Vitor, I wanted to know, which of these lenses you’ve mentioned would be best to shoot interviews and journalistic work? Great video by the way!☺️
Hi Gabriela!
If you get the laowa 7.5mm f2 with Micro four thirds mount - M43 (like mine), you will not need any adapters!
Thanks very much for watching 🙂
thank you so much for the useful content!!!
Hey Vitor! Another amazing video, I was wondering what gimbal you can recommend for the G7? From what I've heard, it's too lightweight for some of the DJI ones. Keep up the work!!
Hey George!
Thanks very much man!
Yeah the G7 is very lightweighted (depending on the lens you're using).
But I think any gimbal that supports a 2kg payload will be fine!
For me I use the feiyutech a2000 (very old and cheap 😉)
Thanks very much for watching
Great information 🖤
Bro🔥
I would like to buy 20mm💚🖤
Thanks man!
The 20mm is a great lens! I definitely recommend it.
Thanks very much for watching 🙂
@ most welcome 🤗bru🖤
I recently got a g7 I have a kit lens tripod and nd cir Pl filters do you have any tips for photos and videos
That's awesome! I hope you enjoy it!
Yes! I do have some tips in this video:
ua-cam.com/video/zhs8UfH4bNY/v-deo.html
new photographer here. I have the Oly 12-40 pro. Used it for landscape, Astro, street. Soon I think I'll get the Oly 100-400 for wildlife.
Hey!
The 100-400 must be awesome! I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for watching
What will be a good lens for Street photography to use with a DMC GX7?
Any of these 3 would be great for that!
Nice video and great info..
Thanks very much 🙂
Hey my brother nice content, i just got my first camera today the lumix GH4 body only. I want to venture into videography only and my budget is a bit low i can only afford one lens (Prime) at the moment so which one would you recommend for music videos and wedding videography
Very informative video! By the way, would you also recommend the Sigma 56mm 1.4?
Thanks very much Solomon!
I never used the Sigma 56mm 1.4 before... so I can't recommend that lens.
Good sharp lens with good bokeh, but no image stabilizer.
Which lens buying for filmmaking?
Hey I really like your videos and I just got my g7. Is 14-42 kit lens good for video?
@ Thank You!
I appreciate your time and definitely will buy the lens which you suggested and one more thing I really like your videos.
@@Simon-nv3sn you're welcome!
Thanks very much Simon!
What's the difference between Panasonic 25mm 1.7 and Panasonic 20mm 1.7? Congratulations for your channel, is amazing.
The difference is mainly the focal length. Thanks
Mais um excelente vídeo! Muito informativo e visualmente apelativo. Abraço
Obrigado Cláudio! Ganda abraço!
any advise on best astrophotography lenses?
Astrophotography it's not my main thing... But I like the Laowa 7.5 mm f2 very much!
Thanks very much for watching 🙂
Fala Vitor!
keep up the great videos
Thanks very much for the support!
It's greatly appreciated!
Friend, since I've been having lots of problems with the speed of my current SD card. Could you please tell me what sd card would be perfect for recording with my camera Lumix g7?
Hey!
I always shot in 4K both on my G7 and GH5 (10 bit on my GH5)
I use the "sandisk extreme pro 170mb/s v30" on my G7 and GH5 and I never had any issues. Totally recommend it.
Thanks very much for watching.
@ another question how much storage is that kind of sd card you use for your Panasonic's cameras?
Hey Luis! Thanks very much for watching 🙂
I don't have experience with those adapters.
The only "adapter" I use is the Viltrox EF-M2 II speedbooster for EF mount lenses...
@ Thank you for your answer. Seems there is an error in the design of those adapters, so I will try to use others or change the lenses for M43 ones. Thanks anyway.
@@luisangel2978 that's unfortunate...
Good luck man 🙂
If you only had budget for one of these lens, which one would you buy: 20 mm or 42.5 mm? thank you.
Although the 42.5mm is better for focusing, I would choose the 20mm because of its versatility! I love the 20mm, it's probably my favourite lens!
Thanks for watching!
@ Thank you for your time and advise, I really like your content.
@@androidgameplays4every13 you're welcome! Thanks very much!
Great for photos too
Thanks very much!
Actually I never got to use the Lumix 25mm f/1.7, so I can't give you an informed opinion.
But I definitely understand your point! There's a lot of mixed opinions about that lens here on UA-cam!
And you just gave me a video idea:
"The battle of the Lumix 20mm Vs 25mm f/1.7" 😂
But for that I would have to buy the 25mm though 🤪
Thanks very much for watching!
@ That's definitely a great video idea. I Think that there are lots folks like me out here who can't decide which of these two lenses they should get.
@@MikeJaySingerandEntertainer That's great! Did you uploaded it here on yt?
@ Gregor Sklarsky That would be a very interesting comparison for sure!
nice video man! did you use the G7 or the GH5 to record this video?
Thanks very much 🙂
I've used the GH5 to shoot this one!
Amazing lenses! 📸🔥
For sure! 😉
Hey Vitor!
Which lenses would you recommend for urban video (maybe low-light) and landscapes?
I already own the 14-140mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 kit lens, but I am not able to get very sharp images.
I also own the 14-140mm but that's a bad lens in my opinion.
The 3 options that I talked about in this video are a great combo!
Thanks for watching
How do you justify high prices for the Lumix lenses over canon
I do not own Panasonic brand. I do not have to justify anything man! 😂😂
Can I Use this Lens with Panasonic Lumix g85 camera ?????
Yes you can!
Thanks for watching!
Jesus i couldn't stop looking at the tooth lol Great Content helped me a ton to make my video
Marvelous options
For sure Dani!
I love all these 3 lenses!
Thanks for watching!
baru ketemu chanel ini, lagi belajar dari chanel ini thanks. salam dari indonesia
Hey man, what lens are you using for your UA-cam videos?
Hey Kris! I use a Sigma Art 18-35 f/1.8 EF Mount Lens with a Viltrox EF-M2 mark II Speedbooster!
Thanks very much for watching!
Hello there, with these three lenses will it crush a full wedding with filming and photography?
Hey!
Yes they will!
Check out 2 video weddings that I made using only these 3 lenses + the Panasonic G7 & GH5:
Wedding no.1
ua-cam.com/video/_Oda8oXrE3s/v-deo.html
Wedding no.2
ua-cam.com/video/z_68CJZiMSQ/v-deo.html
Even though I did film these 2 weddings with only the 3 lenses from this UA-cam video, I do recommend to get the sigma EF mount 18-35mm f1.8 + Viltrox EF-M2 speedbooster. That is a powerful lens and you wouldn't have to change lenses all the time. Because trust me, when you are filming a wedding, time is money !
Thank you 😊 I will check them out now
That sigma 18-35mm image quality is epic. I feel set on a mission..
I have the kit 14-42 mm and the 25 mm Leica, I am have been dreaming about the Laowa 7.5 mm, may be in the next months 😔
That's awesome!
I know that the Laowa is not the cheapest lens, but I think it's worth every penny!
Looking forward for you to try it! And make sure you let me know what you thought about it when you do!
Thanks very much for watching!
@ yes it is and I will, thanks a lot for the video mate 🖤🎬
You're very welcome! 😉
Thank YOU!
Great video😍😍😍
Thanks very much! 😎
What editor do you use lol? It’s amazing
Hahaha, Me, myself and I.
Thanks very much!
I just jumped into micro 4/3
Olympus ep1 w/lumix 20mm f1.7. Very impressed so far. Very inexpensive
That's Great!
What lens are you using to shot this video?
Hey!
I was using the sigma art 18-35mm f/1.8
Thanks for watching!
Cheers!!!
You're welcome!
I always try my best to reply to everyone...
Even though that's not always possible, but I try!
That's awesome to hear!
I will make a video about how to light talking head setups in the future for sure!
@ Awesome look forward to it
Very good information.. Thanks Brother'.. Actually am looking for some portrait shots of humans, Which lens is good am only have the Kit lens of 14-42 mm.
Thanks very much!
For portraits of people I would definitely recommend the Lumix 42.5mm f1.7
Bro do you think g7 is still worth it to buy now(2021)?
Yes! Definitely!
Thanks for watching 🙂
Sorry but what would be the best mm lense for shooting interior of the car in your opinion for g85? Many thanks in advance!
Those are all inexpensive lenses for the most part..incredible looking shots u make with those
All of them are a great lens but I really love 14mm 2.5,20mm is great but bit noisy for videos
🤘🔥 Lumix 20mm f/1.7 ❤️
🎬🔥
Lensa mft memang lebih compact dibanding full frame. Thx
Olympus camera = oly 12mm f2. Oly 75mm f1.8. Oly 12-100mm f4 pro. My golden trinity.
Sounds good!
Will these fit the BGH1 ?
These lenses will fit any camera with a micro four thirds lens mount!
the part of your face without hair is in the shape of a heart lol
MONITOR (Amazon): @t how do you find the monitor with your g7 worth the buy or not?
Hey!
I don't use external monitor on my G7 because sometimes I have trouble getting the output signal...
The monitor I own, I only use it on my GH5, and for that camera, yes, it is totally worth it!
Thanks very much for watching!
@ RESPECT thank you brother I appreciate your content

Best lens ever
Great lenses over here for sure!
Thanks for watching!
BIG FAT LIKE 👍🏻 LIKE 👍🏻 LIKE 👍🏻
I had the 20mm f/1.7 but sold it -- the racket it makes as it tries and tries and tries to focus... and it was NOT as sharp as YT gurus claim.
Nice
Thanks very much!
Can you make Vietnamese subtitles please?
I would love to, but I don't speak Vietnamese...
Thanks very much for watching 🙂
Hi!
King
Thanks !
Sigma 16mm is nice
It's a great focal length for sure!
and 12-60 3.5-5.6
That's a very nice focal range indeed
