Commandos wont survive a open battle field though their spec opts for infultration, in a open battle field youll want arc troopers who are pretty much 1 man armies, take the 1st battle of geonosis for example as commandos had a over 80% causualty rate, so not best but very good for what they are intended for which is if you played the games youd would know it is sabotage, stealing data and other more steathly operations
Also number and military terminology wise they not a division, however ngl i can totally see how would people make that mistake, but the commandoes were part of the spec ops brigade

Hey not sure if anyone got done with the newest Bad Batch episodes, but *spoiler warning* was that clone assassin be one of these nonexistent clones that's Palpatine gave to Admiral Rampart??
These guys remind me of a fan animation I saw of a squad of commandos being told to "save" a senator, and that any clones were droids. So they blasted through a bunch of "droids" and got to the senator. Then were ordered to silence the senator and were told that it is to be a CIS attack. Such a good animation!
Covert Ops Troopers probably were sent after Rex and Delta Squad once they left the GAR after the war. It would be cool if we got a Rex/ Bourne style Series. Rex vs the Treadstone Troopers.
Always thought it would be interesting to have a show centered around an elite clone assassin, from his time training on Kamino and during the age of the Empire. It would be cool to have a darker Star Wars show around a character who isn’t morally good. Yet, the factors in childhood that led to this would be explores. His brutal role in Order 66, perhaps in the Temple, would also be interesting to see. I think a good plot would have him go rogue after his chip malfunctions or loses its efficacy and have him learn the truth behind 66. He would then go on a mission of revenge against the empire, not out of moral concerns, but out of anger of learning his freedom was taken away. Parallels could be drawn between the clones lack of freedom, between being bred as basically war slaves by the republic to losing their freedom of thought under the empire. His quest would be one of pursuit of freedom and revenge on those who took it from him, and he would not be limited by the morals of normal protagonists. This period should also see some moral development, but the mistake of making him a “good guy” like Boba Fett should be avoided. Just imagine how badass a rogue ex-clone assassin on a mission of revenge would be.
In the episode 3 game for ps2 there is a bonus mission where you get to play as yoda and actually have to fight those eleit assassins and yeah..... they are no joke. There fast enough to matrix dodge yodas attacks......
I would very much like to see Cut go up against a few covert ops troopers or Rex in the Bad Batch, could be a interesting storyline and it would be sick to see them on screen.
Cloned soldiers, tasked with killing their own brothers, lied to and about by their superiors? They're Star Wars Solid Snakes, they've even got the fast-aging.
why do I love them? Well, I was playing Revenge of the sith and I saw Purple clones with vibroblades and kamas. I thought I'll never see anything that cool
Where do you find the death of the first one you mentioned, Tarvo, was it? I literally can't find anything about him so I was wondering if this happened in a comic book or in the TV series.
I wouldn't be too surprised if the clone who killed Fives was actually a covert ops wearing Fox's armour to not draw attention to himself. You don't actually "Fox" in the shot where all the clones are standing around Fives' body, so I believe he snuck away to return the armour and report the assassination to Palpatine.
I remember one of the unlockable mission on the revenge of the sith video game, where you play as yoda, and you mop the floor with quite a few of these guys. It was honestly comical, but what do you expect lol.

I feel like Dogma would at one point be a candidate for this
I remember the old battlefront 2 super ultimate mod pack included custom models for clone assassins and I thought for the longest time that they and the covert ops troopers were just fan made. They were fun custom classes to play as the assassins we’re definitely op.
In retrospect, they should have had a few Clone Assassins accompany Vader to Mustafa to watch his back… and cover _the high ground._
Or 501st Clones with them
It’s true, if most of the audience doesn’t know, then there is pretty much no way in cannon universe knows.
Cut Lawquane was lucky that it was Rex who found him. Imagine the carnage that would have happened if he was reported.
Seeing the clone assassins dash around in the episode 3 game was so cool as a kid
The covert ops troopers looks like something you would get from a twitch prime reward.
6:14 Isn't actually true, in the Clone Commando Books "True Colors" Darman found out that the two Covert Ops troops were trained by Nulls Jaing and Prudii, not by Kal Skirata himself, and Darman didn't know them personally.
Clone assassin exist
PS2 star wars battlefront- you wanna play clone assassin kid
Kid in early 2005-YES
PS2 star wars battlefront- you're terrible being stealthy.
So clone commandoes who are already pretty much off the books (meaning most of their ops are blacklisted along with them) didn’t even know about them ?!?!
Dude I really enjoy your voice, it's so soothing.
I started your videos about a week ago, constantly blown away by your knowledge and this video is no different, amazing thing I did not know and have so much appreciation for, thankyou for your vidoes 😁
I hope they bring back the Covert Ops troopers in the future. Maybe in the Bad Batch series.
Not even the Senate was aware of the clones that answered to Palpatine alone?
I feel like we're missing something here
I actually knew about both types, having read all of Karen Traviss's clone novels and playing Episode 3 on original Xbox. Very nice vud
Sera Keto forever
Damn, that's horrifying. Clone Force 99, step aside for the REAL professionals...
3:05 not tryna fret about it, but I believe you meant Phase II. Just tryna help!
I actually played Episode III as a kid and the clone assasins were my favorite ones to fight. They're hard-core for sure!
I thought this was about the new clones in the Bad Batch trailer. Also, sounds like that new Republic Commando short film from Cinematic Captures
5:49 here we can see the badassery of the clone commandos, where he just nope's an ambush of highly skilled assassins.
They would be perfect villains for the Bad Batch show in season 2
Just wanted to say I’ve been watching for a long time and I love your content man!
We appreciate that! ❤️❤️❤️
Imagine being so secritive that most real people dont know you exist
Very interesting. No one knew about The Emperor's Hand either...
Hey not sure if anyone got done with the newest Bad Batch episodes, but *spoiler warning* was that clone assassin be one of these nonexistent clones that's Palpatine gave to Admiral Rampart??
that's the assumption at the moment
I still remember how badass they were in revenge of the sith wish we could've used em in that game like the Magna guards.
These guys were in the Revenge of the Sith game, hardest non-boss enemies to kill
Lego needs to make the Clone Assassins now.
Think they trained the purge troopers in Fallen Order?
"MORE! Give me more!" - creepy purge troopers
Null ARCs: exist
Shout out the Null batch
Star Wars: Episode III the Game, those Clone Assassins were annoying as fuck to deal with in the Obi-Wan Jedi Temple level
I’ve never wanted a black series figure more than the assassin trooper
In the episode 3 game for ps2 there is a bonus mission where you get to play as yoda and actually have to fight those eleit assassins and yeah..... they are no joke. There fast enough to matrix dodge yodas attacks......
I would very much like to see Cut go up against a few covert ops troopers or Rex in the Bad Batch, could be a interesting storyline and it would be sick to see them on screen.
I would love to see these troopers introduced into canon. I think a good place to bring them into canon would be the Bad Batch show.
Ohhh, Darman and Kal-buir. I loved reading the books.
Cloned soldiers, tasked with killing their own brothers, lied to and about by their superiors? They're Star Wars Solid Snakes, they've even got the fast-aging.
Except these guys didn't go independent while staying true to their own loving lives.
Makes me think of Crosshair from Bad Batch series
why do I love them? Well, I was playing Revenge of the sith and I saw Purple clones with vibroblades and kamas. I thought I'll never see anything that cool
*takes off dead clone assassin’s helmet*
*GASP*
“I know this man!.... He’s a Jango Fett Clone!”
Dang.
@@_l_l_5804 wooooosh
Great channel! Good to see some love for Karen Traviss' phenomenal Mandalorian lore
_Thank You, HK-47._
Where do you find the death of the first one you mentioned, Tarvo, was it? I literally can't find anything about him so I was wondering if this happened in a comic book or in the TV series.
It was mentioned in the Republic Commando novels iirc
The timing of this is uncanny because of the newly shown variant of trooper in The Bad Batch possibly being Covert Ops! As always, fantastic post!
These clone assassins were no match for clone force 99!
So clone assassins were pretty much CIA operatives
I wouldn't be too surprised if the clone who killed Fives was actually a covert ops wearing Fox's armour to not draw attention to himself. You don't actually "Fox" in the shot where all the clones are standing around Fives' body, so I believe he snuck away to return the armour and report the assassination to Palpatine.
Oh man, these guys were annoying on PS2.. still gives me the headache just thinking about them
I had read alittle about them before, this really shed some light on these psychos.
3:04 He said they wore standard phase 1 armor, but that is phase 2 armor.
Always gotta hitt that sweet 10 minute mark, but compared to many other channels your content is atleast entertaining, thanks for the vid mate
Ah finally, the Assassin Troopers
4:01 Well that's fratricide damn
I remember one of the unlockable mission on the revenge of the sith video game, where you play as yoda, and you mop the floor with quite a few of these guys. It was honestly comical, but what do you expect lol.
Clone Assassins, my favorite of all Clone Trooper variations. Could be because I'm an Assassin's Creed nut as well as a Star Wars nut.
