SS Heath was clearly made with the reworked sanity system in mind. His gameplay is actually pretty fun once you realise that his real main skill is counter. But I do feel that he is much weaker than N-Sinclair. Hopefully the Ish E.G.O id we got a glimpse of in the trailer will be better. (I refuse to believe that I have been saving up all these shard containers since the beginning of this game for best girl only to receive a mediocre id...)
To be honest there seem to be a lot of characters that were made based on incorrect assumptions about the combat system. W-Corp Faust and a few others, for exsample, seem to assume they’ll get multiple attacks per turn and build up charge that way
Ishmael's Slosh is most likely blunt and competing with her reindeer ID, which isn't exactly a great initial selling point. On the plus side, her chapter is next and there's a 4.5 coming up event which will probably have an ID for her too.
Ah, that's unfortunate. Also, NClair is not a fair comparison, sure, it's the only one we have, but still, using the most busted ID in the game to compare to others doesn't sit well with me.
The armored enemies look like Shrenne brought back to life after she marinated in the ampoules she dropped on the floor. Unfortunately slash isn't effective so the theory dies there.

New Heath isn't AS bad as some people make him out to be and he can be fun to use and has some potentially good damage output thanks to his coin counts, but he's definitely got a lot of problems. Firstly, to make him perform at all as anything above trash tier requires a lot of micro since his intended play style is to take hits with his counter dice and do one sided attacks, avoiding most clashes as his dice values are some of the worst of any ID which means that the auto-battle functions are a complete no go for him. Secondly, he's really slow to get going due to rellying on self-inflicted sinking to drop his sanity which can take several turns and requires not using his S2 as that consumes his sinking. Now being a slow starter who's potentialy suited for longer fights wouldn't inherently be a problem as a counterbalance to R-Heath who lacks staying power, however with how the game has been encouraging fast clear times with EX and railway content his slow to start nature would ill-suited to the current state of the game even if he properly functioned, speaking of which... Thirdly, due to the nature of his SP management being based on sinking and lacking any inbuilt means to raise his SP other then clashing, how much SP he loses can varry wildly between turns as your theoretical gameplan would be to build up sinking, get Heath's sanity low and then drop the sinking to mangable values using his S2... however this relies on getting the correct skills available at the correct time and becomes even more complecated to handle once his passive comes online, which is necessary for his gameplan of taking hits (a strategy that is oddly enough not supported by his non-tank like defence value and double break threasholds) but also causes him to lose SP equal to sinking at start of combat, potentially dropping his SP down to -45 at combat start, which as it turns, Being at -45 at any point during combat locks your sanity to -45 until corrosion/panic activates next turn, meaning that at some point you will almost definitely corrode/panic and reset back to 0 SP. To wrap this up, Fox-Heath is a neat and sometimes fun idea but in practice is extremely unwieldy with a kit that feels like it's at odds with itself half the time whilst trying to do too much at the same time. I've heard people postitue that he was designed with the sanity changes in mind, but I don't buy into itx as the core of Fox-Heath's problems isn't gaining too much sanity from winning clashes, he doesn't want to clash most of the time in the first place, rather it's the extreme lack of control and inconsistent nature of his SP drain that stems from being built around the management of self-inflicted sinking. Anyway, appologies for the long ramble, but there's just too much there for me not to want to vent about it. XD

All negative coin IDs benefit from EGO sanity drain, however that requires building up the resources to use it first, meaning you still need to go trough Umbrella-Heath's slow start up and it's unlikely to be sustainable as a way of managing sanity in place of sinking, not to mention that sinking is both unavoidable and necessary for his passive for both good and ill, as having sinking is what lets him get his durability with those 5 stacks of protection whilst also being the thing that will inevitably drive him into panic/corrosion due to it's swingy nature. The big reason that EGO use isn't the fix for Heath, is due to the fact that it can't be used during the wind up when he'd need it, and once he's going it's actually more common for him to drop too LOW in sanity rather then too high, so using EGO ends up becoming more risky then beneficial. The only time that EGO would probably be useful is after he's corroded and reset to 0 as a way of expediting the return to negative sanity, but even then, due to the way his passive works, if you have some sinking which you almost certainly will, it's very possible that using EGO would just put him back into risk of corroding again. Which actually brings up another issue of his, being that you generally will be aiming to have a minimum of 5 sinking for maximum protection stacks, which means a minimum of 5 SP drain per turn from the passive, but he has skills that give him upwards of 6, so you'll likely go to values of 11+ which means that you often need to keep Heath's sanity above -35 or else risk him hitting that -45 threashold and locking into corrosion, and that's assuming you only get the SP drain from the passive, which is not going to be the case, because Heath is a unit designed around taking hits rather then clashing, so at some point he's going to get hit even if you're trying not too, which will cause sinking to activate, draining additional sanity, and if we go with the assumed scenario of 5-11 sinking, together with the passive that's between 10-22 SP drain in a single turn, meaning that now suddenly having less then -23 SP becomes a danger area that could result in instantaneous corrosion.
Most of the time you wanna use Foxcliff's defensive skill over his S1, he can tank the hits due to his passive and it straight up does more damage 6+6+6 < 10+10

The green ego enemies are based on the green-spirits… slime ogre… thing. All that padding is basically gel/jelly that spreads an impact so a blade’s or a point are better at punching through. Like how shooting a balloon full of custard is better than punching it

2:10 I think blunt weapons wouldn't be good agains huge bulky armor like that (especially if it's made from some sort of tough but not solid slime) because the force of the impact would be absorbed by it's massive, soft-ish bulk. Personally I feel like cutting damage would make the most sense against them, but maybe it still takes some effort to cut through all this mass, and a pierching attack goes through and reaches the person inside easier?

The new heathcliff needs a lot of babysitting to be good, and he isnt as easy to babysit as N clair (He tends to corrode a lot less than N clair though) You need to build sinking, generally counter if you can and it doesnt eat your S3, use doggo or battlepass EGO to lower his sanity and using bodysack in batttles with lots of enemies so you get the power stacks going, which will make him go from clashing and rolling like shit to doing damage comparable (and sometimes more) to N clair when comparing N2s (and his N1 can end up doing a lot more damage than N clairs at low sanity and high power from bodysack). Sadly this takes time and generally requires an envy heavy team, it also means spamming sanity for everyone stuff fucks him over since it takes him a lot more time to lower his sanity to good levels of around -30
Sunheath can actually deal the same level of average damage as Nsinclair rather consistently in anything other than Mirror Dungeon. The team I'm using: Sunheath, Nsinclair, Nfaust, Chef Ryoushu, and Rosespanner Rodion - you can see that I didn't particularly built a team around Sunheath (also, no AEDD ego yet which will make him more bonker) yet he always become the second if not top dps together with sinclair or rodion through part 2 of canto 4. But unlike sinclair, where you only need to manage his sanity from fullblown corroding-you need to raise his sinking value and count with skill 1 and 3 while also using counter every now and then after bodysack ego to hurriedly deplete the saved sinking count from skill 1 to get a low enough sanity to use his second skill at maximum damage potential (regardless, his third skill and counter dealt great damage also) Took me around 4 story battles to get used and play him decently consistent, and with the amount of stages I've played with him already (around more than 20ish, not counting repeated experimental retry, trying to beat those stages within 10 rounds if not 7 rounds, along with the one with 3 waves) Sunheath can easily snowball after 2 turn if you're lucky with third skill dropping early, and 5 turn at the slowest. This playstyle made him a reverse Rabbit Heath, where Rheath snowball from start and start to fall off in prolonged fight, Sunheath thrive from prolonged fight and it doesn't even need more than 3 turn to set him up to keep up with Nsinclair rampage. Or atleast in my experience, because my friend had a lot of trouble using him, not to mention that it's somewhat troublesome when you're also keeping an eye on the rest 4 sinners in the battlefield.
Despite liking the story of the chapter, i really feel they stretched it too much with a lot of repetitive battles that have little to no story, would be much better for me if the chapter was smaller.
But hey, at least we get more lunacy... In game currency and actual lunacy at retrying the darn 3 wave stages over and over again to get under the 10 turn EX limit 😂

The Project Moon thirst is so strong not even the in-universe characters are immune

Took me around 4 story battles to get used and play him decently consistent, and with the amount of stages I've played with him already (around more than 20ish, not counting repeated experimental retry, trying to beat those stages within 10 rounds if not 7 rounds, along with the one with 3 waves) Sunheath can easily snowball after 2 turn if you're lucky with third skill dropping early, and 5 turn at the slowest.
This playstyle made him a reverse Rabbit Heath, where Rheath snowball from start and start to fall off in prolonged fight, Sunheath thrive from prolonged fight and it doesn't even need more than 3 turn to set him up to keep up with Nsinclair rampage.
Or atleast in my experience, because my friend had a lot of trouble using him, not to mention that it's somewhat troublesome when you're also keeping an eye on the rest 4 sinners in the battlefield.

Despite liking the story of the chapter, i really feel they stretched it too much with a lot of repetitive battles that have little to no story, would be much better for me if the chapter was smaller.
But hey, at least we get more lunacy... In game currency and actual lunacy at retrying the darn 3 wave stages over and over again to get under the 10 turn EX limit 😂
