As a black man, my childhood was spent here. Back then, the black ,white and asian kids used to play football together on the same streets. We all knew each other by name. In the summer of '76 we all went to the ABC Bristol Road cinema to watch a movie. Those were the days.

@yuhinodaily yeh I do...when I was a school kid in the early 60's, my mates and I used to go the Saturday morning pictures at the Capitol cinema..also two of my Auntie's lived there and used go and visit them ..
They soon moved out in the 70's when Asians in mass started moving in , taking over shops and housing etc.
Pubs and clubs closed down as white people moved out in droves , and the streets resembled down town Bagdad..shops goods cluttered the pavements , butchers shop only sold certain meats.
Some Asians slaughtered sheep in their back garden as somekind of religious ritual??

Small Heath was held up as a model of multiculturalism that actually worked. Not now though, as the demographic has changed considerably since the 2000s.

Do you as a person of colour & your subscribers, believe that this is how it should be? the majority here are all people of colour. I just counted three white people. Do you not find this strange? has it all been planned do you think? I am interested to hear all the views of people on here. Yes, I am white, but please do not blame me for being honest when I say that all this is frightening & extremely sad. We can address the rest, I don't think it's strange or there is some kinda plan to make sure white people don't exist in this area. To me is just a fact that Birmingham is a multicultural city. I've been to a place in London Jewish have dominated and that also could be that London is a multicultural city.
