WHY GARIMA’S POV
Garima Goel is a public figure for the past 15 years where she has donned many hats in the media industry ranging from Anchor producer in ABP news for entertainment section, Entertainment head for Times of India group channel Zoom tv , Group entertainment editor for Sahara group.
Post her stint in media world, Garima moved on to the corporate side of film-making which is Viacom 18 Motion pictures. She worked as a senior brand manager in the movie marketing division for 2 years handling projects like Paramount pictures MI-GP, Jack Reacher, The Dictator, Madagascar 2 and a lot of Hindi film projects like Boss, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Tanu weds Manu, Gangs of Wasseypur etc.
During her corporate job behind the camera, Garima realized her love for being infront of camera, not as an anchor this time, but as an ACTOR.
So she went to Barry John Acting School where the famous Barry John taught her acting. He is the teacher of the likes of SRK, Manoj Bajpai and Richa Chadha to name a few. After securing a top position in her acting school Garima ventured into the big bad mystical world of acting. She had beginners luck where she worked in movies like Lipstick Under My Burqa, Jai gangajal, Shamitabh, TV shows like Tarak Mehta, Pyaar ka dard, CID, Adalat , Agent Raghav, Baalveer etc She also did a lot of ads but nothing to her hearts desire and content.
Garima wanted to make a mark in the acting world, but casting couch propositions and last minute replacements in big films and TV serials as a leading lady broke her emotionally. It also lead her into depression.
Garima faught hard and during her therapy sessions, the idea of starting a UA-cam channel came up. So she started her journey as a youtuber along with her dying acting career.
Today Garima is a storng voice in UA-cam community with more than 4 million followers on her channel Garima’s Good Life. She started her channel with the intention of helping upcoming actors and people who wanted to join the glamour world. Garima did a successful 50 episode series called ‘How to become an actor’ on het YT channel which was a huge success. She even realized that common people loved her shoot vlogs which have garnered millions of views on her channel. Hence, it was time for her to bring a fresh POV on the glamour world and decode it for her millions of followers across social media platforms.
In all these 15 years, Garima has been on all sides of movie and TV business. So her knowledge and experiences make for an intriguing and engaging PODCAST session.

It’s not self appraisal , but Barry John Sir , had personally selected me as a core team member and he is an inspirational person , highly experienced, I got so self assured after his confidence in me but the amount of stories of casting couch I have heard from my friends who finally went to Mumbai n worked …. I am glad I didn’t go ahead n jumped onto the bandwagon … but I miss the thrill of playing different characters n the observatory skill enhancement that an actor has to do … but the good thing is there’s theatre , there’s social media short films n series now … the world has changed and people who want to follow this art … have more avenues , I should look into that now 😊

And I dint even understand why were those girls who were ready to sleep not understand that if 9/10 contenders are ready to sleep then even getting laid is no guarantee for getting a lead role , there’s stiff competition there too, so why sell urself short ? How much worth can it be to be analysed n scrutinised based on ur body and how good ur in bed ? Like really ? This is below animalistic behaviour
And although it’s a valid point that some actresses having to leave cus of lack of talent or mutual attraction amongst actors is a fact but giving these silly benefits of doubt instead of condemning the wrong system of casting couch whether it’s the director producer or Financer or whosoever … it’s not ok to act okayish about it … Mr. Anand didn’t seem to mind it all too much

Garima, i really want you to see this. I know, casting couch us real. And its an ugly reality of film industry. But the thing we need to realise is that we are girls and there are people everywhere with dirty mentality. You can't say that it exists in modelling and film industry only. I know someone who is a teacher and i know dirty secrets of schools as well. We are not safe anywhere. We just have to be super careful of these animals and achieve our goals. Its important not to be desperate and have principles of our own. Thats all i had to say.
