Samogitian here. Samogitian is still a very widely used dialect/language. The school I went to - all the lessons except for Lithuanian were taught in the Samogitian dialect instead of using Standart Lithuanian. If you'll go to any shop, or hell, even a government institution, you'll be spoken to in Samogitian
@@rytisliaucys3444 In my town we had to speak proper Lithuanian in every Class or most government buildings. If you spoke Samogitian they would tell you to repeat it in "proper Lithuanian".
@@gigilily888 bruh, there's a big difference between Samogitian accent and Samogitian dialect. It's easy to understand a Samogitian accent, but when someone speaks proper Samogitian, that's hard to understand and it's not as common anymore
