Loving the podcast and seeing John, Buga and Pablo do their great things! For me, I'd love Imanol from Sociedad in, he's a great manager and I think that he'd be good for our team. Keep up the great work guys, my question would be, if you all got to be Barcelona manager at the end of the season, what are the first 3 things you're doing ? Much love!
I just started following barca this season because of pedri, aroujo, frenkie and koundes highlights. This summer, this season. Sad to see xavi go. I hope we dont lose key players and whoever comes uses what we have and adds to it if possible. Ik unfortunately some will have to leave but we have such a goos team on paper we shouldnt play the same old barca way but should somehow develop it. Footballs grown and changed so the barca way has to as well. I hope this more than a club comes to fruition with xavis sacrifice and exit. Edit i do wanna go back to more midfielders with raphinha in the midfield. He doesnt have to cut in and he can just shot and cross and track back for defense.
I've been a Barca fan, well, since the 90s. I believe Xavi, just ended up on the wrong side of an historic era many consider to be the best club to have played as a team. I see podcasts out there from other fans since like 2010, just complain complain complain. Not that as fans we aren't allowed to complain, but they never experienced a Barcelona that is down. Oh we were truly spoiled.
Xavi is blaming the media but the truth is he's gotten backing from the club and the fans. he only got this job cuz hes a barca legend but the truth us hes not experienced hes not ready for this, are we missing a cdm? Yes, but still you have world class talent in this squad and playing this poorly all season is unacceptable. I feel for him but he shouldnt just blame the media and peiple booing him, hes not a world class coach
What do you think Xavi will be doing next? Do you think he will coach other spanish team? Coach other European teams? Which team will be great for him to coach mostly for the experience?
If we are talking about replacements, I don't know what our financial situation is to know what we can offer. I know Klopp is wanting a year off but then again, it is Barcelona. Mourinho, will be gone in 3, same as Tuchel. Sure, good for the short term. I am ok with Michel but I will go with Pep and say De Zerbi. It's Laporta tho and I am figuring it's going to be a German. But if you want crazy, how about Xabi Alonso?
Pep left because of sandro rossell not the fans, every club at the highest level burns through managers, Barca are not unique, we hire managers without experience of this pressure
Great pod gents. Would love your take on Deco. I hear a lot of criticism about how he hasn’t backed Xavi like Alemany and Jordi Cruyff. There was that weird enforced lineup change for example. Yet Xavi’s signings have ranged from mediocre to poor for the most part - too old, no real future, experienced sure but temporary plugs for a leaking boat. On the other hand he’s brought in Vítor Roque, Noah Darvich, Ibrahim Diarra, Bergvall likely soon, possibly Messinho and had us linked with Guler, Moscardo, and Echevarri (only to fail for lack of $$). Aside from Roque, these have all been low cost and hence low risk buys. Is Deco low-key building something brilliant for the future?
Why are you blaming fans? It’s not fans’ fault but the board. Nobody pushed Pep and Luis out if not the environment surrounding the club ( press and board) . Xavi showed is limit on his second year and yes we won la liga but the style wasn’t there. We waited to see this year if things will change with new players but it got worse so what are you expecting from fans? Real Madrid board unlike Barca changes coaches even in the middle of the season if the result is not there . The problem with Barca is that we are hiring inexperienced coaches all the time and also they have to play barca way, it’s wrong. There is nothing wrong playing like bayern, Liverpool, Arsenal and Real Madrid sometimes.
No. How do you go from talking about people asking dumb questions to saying xavi squandered 230m. Did he sign Raphinha, Ferran, Lewa or was that the work or Alemany? Also we had a squad of nobodies when he joined. Would you expect barca not to make some signings and win the title with Braithwaite and a bunch of kids? Add to that he has lost a lot of quality in Aubameyang, Dembele and Busquets without being able to replace them. How can you expect attractive football with 12 1st team players available when you have lost as much as he has. Sad to see that you say legacies need to be built but don't have the patience to see it through.
Klopp made 3 UCL finals and won one, losing the other 2 to Madrid’s dark arts and Ramos’ lucha libre’. He also has had Liverpool playing good, attacking football for most of his tenure. Please, let’s not compare Xavi’s coaching to Klopp’s.
@@Andres-db4jmHe means if flick comes in will he use la masia players. Personally I think he won’t come because he doesn’t want to be part of Barca’s mess
It might be really hard to keep some of our best players in the next transfer window. Some of them really were backing Xavi. Like I wouldn't be surprised if at some point in the rest of the season it's mentioned in the media that Araujo is reconsidering that Bayern move. Even Raphinha or Kounde may look into those prem links...🥲
@bossplayaa8165 Kounde reportedly unhappy bc Dembele and Kessie left. Raphinha won't be happy playing from the bench behind Lamine. How much do you think Barça could get for those two?
@MesQuePod Losing Pedri to Luis Enrique is genuinely worrying me, given Pedri's admiration and especially considering Enrique's opportunistic tendencies. Araujo's departure to Bayern adds to the team's challenges. It's crucial for the club to address these issues promptly for a more stable future.
@MesQuePod Araujo, Gavi, Lamine, Pedri, Cancelo and the other La Masia debutant are the future of barca. We have to build our squad around them. I know Buga loves Ferran but let's be honest here neither Ferran nor Raphinha are Barca-type players. We need proper two-wingers who can beat the defender on 1v1 and are clinical enough in front of the goal. For me despite Xavi having flaws, changing the coach would hardly fix this Barcelona. The whole process from top to bottom, the financial black hole, the lack of planning, ideas, identity, all of it was handled poorly. Our issues run much deeper than the coach's. We have to get it right this time and that starts with appointing a good coach and planning our squad very well.

Not everyone puts career and accomplishments first. Sounds like xavi just wants a more relaxed and balanced life 🤷♂️
great podcast, glad to have discovered y’all on here again!
btw, what do you use for your colorful lighting Buga?

The team will get a month off if they don't play super cup
So I'm not hoping for a top 2
1. Tuchel
2. Flick
3. Motta
Motta over Marquez you think? Any difference between the two?

To be fair , winning La Liga is much easier than winning Premier League, so give Klopp some credit.
Really? Pep disagrees
That's a hard thing to prove on either side of the argument. What makes you say EPL is harder?

One more thing about flick no ones talking about is he is not a la masia kind of guy what will happen to la masia
Are you delusional or what? What if he is not La Masia graduate? Is that mandatory or something?
twat what i meant was will he bring players from la masia like xavi and other did like yamal and all @@Andres-db4jm

Who would you chose if not Flick?
Serial killers like to go back to the crime scene, that explains bartomeu
We can always count on you for the unique take. Glad to see you are alive and well!
I heard he was staying in a presidential suite in Madrid. That gives me double-agent vibes 👀
Come on man why Thomas Tuchel he is not that good. Btw very good podcast #VisçaBarça

Kounde and Raphinha can go. No problem. They have to keep araujo
@tumithethe1720 If you had to give it a percentage, what are the chances we lose a key player because of xavi leaving?
