Are ARSENAL Really a BIG CLUB? One of the Most Supported Football Clubs in London but Successful?

Arsenal are always thought about as a big football club and are recognised all around the world. But to what extent is this true? Where do they sit compared with other big football clubs in the Premier League?
Arsenal were not always the club we know them as today, and the reign of Arsène Wenger made them look like a club constantly at the top. Indeed, when Arsenal struggled against the wealth of clubs with new money, Arsenal fans could not get used to the idea that they were no longer competitive enough. But when we go back a few seasons, we can see that Wenger created a myth.
Arsenal's glory days were the 1930's but since then they had not dominated English football. The 60's and 70's were particularly difficult, and their domestic double was out of the blue when compared to the years before and after.
George Graham's years was the first time since the 1930's that Arsenal actually showed consistency over the years. It is unfortunate that this period is not looked upon so fondly due to the style of play, but to beat Liverpool to the championship twice was really something. Let's not forget they won the European Cup-Winners' Cup during his time to.
Perhaps Graham's time was overshadowed by the more charismatic Wenger, who revolutionised the English game in many ways. His delightful football over many years has given those who had not watched English football before the impression that Arsenal had always oozed in class. This is not quite the full story.
