Some people that have achieved high step1 scores suggest doing usmle rx prior to uworld qbank. What is your take on that ?
Good Stuff! I sit down and think "I'm gonna get through my 80Q today for sure, just gotta focus!" and soon after I have my okonomiyaki batter ready and pan heated up >.
What about modanyaki
@@Mehlmanmedical Yeah, modanyaki would be nice but much more labor-intensive; my okonomiyaki was literally just flour, water, egg, cabbage, leek, and salt. oh and bacon + bonito. smothered in sauces :P

Can someone help me, please? I understood Mike recommends Tutor, Untimed, and Random Mode. By Random Mode, does he mean ALL SHELF SUBJECTS and ALL SYSTEMS at the same time? Or does he mean ALL SHELF SUBJECTS and then System by System (e.g., CV System, then Renal, then Pulmonary, then Nervous System, etc.)? Thank you very much.
By random, that means everything.

Thank you again for this. Can you elaborate a little more when a student is feeling overwhelmed with the explanations? Is your position still to just read the explanations as best as you can, then move on? Don't focus so much on trying to understand or remember the concept? I got to your PDFs when there is a concept that I am just not grasping. Thank you again

When do we review the questions? After the block of 10 is done? After each question? Or after the 40-80 of the day is done?
Tutor mode is after each Q

Hi doc, quick question. If I graduated August 2020 and I apply Sept 2024 (for the 2025 match) does that count as old IMG?
More than 3 years is "old graduate."

I’m in a situation where I feel like I need to give more time to step2 but I won’t make it by this year’s deadline .
Friend of mine suggested just get it done , I personally don’t feel confident that I can score good on step2 hence want a 1y delay .

Making a block out of 10 qs and not taking a break until you finish and review those. It’s very effective imo

@@AhmedMohamed-ft3oh a block can have maximum of 40 questions so the advice being given here is to do only 10 at a time.
