You covered some great ideas. Never thought about gluing the drywall. Electricians work is gold. Plumbing looked great too. Thanks for the shout out. Looking forward to seeing your cabinets come together.

We used foam insulation. We have 3,000 sq. Ft. conditioned. I have a laser thermometer. Our ceiling does not get over 86 degrees when it is over 100. Temperate only varies 1 degree from the ceiling to the floor. The house stays comfortable. We have had the thermostat set at 75 degrees all summer. Fiberglass insulation just slowed heat transfer. It takes longer in the morning to heat up, but takes longer at night for the house to cool down. We had the foam sprayed on the attic floor, and walls. My neighbor totally sealed his attic spraying foam on the walls of the attic, and the underside of the roof. I went over, and measured his attic temperature. It was 86 degrees. When it was 100 degrees out side. It keeps his duck work cooler. You can buy the foam, and do it yourself.

@@charlescoker7752 I been looking into the foam some theres not alot folks doing it around here it appears to be better than the fiber glass Im a lil worried about ceiling the wood up with it im afraid it may hold moisture and cause the wood to rot have you had any issues with moisture?

@@burntchurch Our neighbor has not had any problems with his sealed attic Was done in 2006. It was just being introduced to Louisiana. So like you we were concerned about sealing the attic so we just got the floor of he attic done. Bill was never over $175 a month in the summer, we live in humid Louisiana. But since the Planned Demic It has gone up to a little over $300 a month. Some months a little less.

I'm not sure about glueing on dry wall. I'd be worried about replacing the drywall if it ever got wet or delaminated. I'm currently replacing some of the drywall in our house before selling due to moisture and nails popping. I personally like screws better. I would need to see someone replace glued drywall before choosing to go that route. Not sure how the glue could be removed from the studs without a heat gun and a lot of extra work.

@@mrpete9958 yes screws is a good way to go some of these guys use screws and glue I have replaced glued sheet rock in the past it was a lil more trouble but usely a good scraper or one of these lil orbital jamb saws are good for removing the glue
