Bene nice video. I dont add beneficial bacteria every time I add/change water. but I add little bit every time I feed them diluted in water with baby shrimp food.
@@ShrimpSanctuary Bene can you suggest any probiotics product? for feeding 2x a week I'm using MK Breed Baby shrimp food and Bacter AE. works well with my shrimp. non stop breeding.
Thank, nice tips. As a side note, how about temperature? Do you run air conditioning in the room? and do you think caridina shrimp could survive and thrive in 27-28C water temp?
Good evening, how many liters of capacity do your aquariums have and how many liters of active soil do you use? What are your water values, conductivity, gh, kh?
we run 40 and 80L aquarium. Soil 600-700ml in a 40L 1.2L in a 80L both these setup will be buffered with additional pot plant with soil. around 100-200ml water parameters: pH 5.5 on ADA, 6 on Fluval TDS 90-100 (or below 100) GH 3-4 KH 0
@@ShrimpSanctuary Very nice video, thank you for making it. This water seems very 'soft', are you only keeping cardinia shrimp or also neocardinia in these water parameters?
yes they last a long time as long as kept in an AC room with low humidity. high humidity will make it rust eventually. so as long as kept in a low humidity area it will be great.
@@marcosaffioti it's generally adding soil to the pot and plant. This is usually done during the cycle and the plant pot doesn't get change out every reset.
Not saying you're wrong about the "myth" of the green wall but do you have any thoughts on Darick from Shrimps Affair who really dislikes brown algae to the point he scrapes it off and uses it as an indication the tank needs to be reset? I personally haven't noticed any negative ramifications in my own tank whether there's green walls or not.
Thanks for making this guide for beginners like us! Super, super helpful.

I think probiotics would be better added during feeds.

surviving is ok, thriving no. They do better in lower temps. To breed them, 21-24 degrees C is ideal.
@@ShrimpSanctuary i see. Thank for the reply.

How you prepare the pots before putting in the tank?
