Oh bhai I am not saying because he's an Indian. I do admire that he is a self made man. Most aren't and it takes a lot of struggle to reach the stardom he did. He deserves that credit. However, I have no respect for people who despite all this fame are forced to beg to get their film released because he once gave some statement that wasn't openly hostile towards Pakistan. He more than made up for it later in life.
He should love his country. He should be proud of it as well but if your patriotism is situated on disrespecting others, that says a lot about a person. I have a lot more respect for a small artist in either country who doesn't play the jingoistic game to protect himself than for SRK and others.
