Kudos to tvs for this much effort. TVS did all they could but this engine from BMW is dull and vibey. U cant change the basic character of engine without major development. Vibrations r the reason experienced riders dont choose it. TVS should work with some other company for a new engine

Why does TVS overdo things specially what's not needed at all at this level of engine size! First the extensive ride modes and now the good for nothing winglets on a street bike! What are they targeting roadside Romeos (chapris) as their main consumers?

Nope the ship has set sail, hammer the nail as much as you like to the board it only goes inside so much before the hammer starts breaking the board. Either this engine needs to go or needs some serious reboring, reworking on the hardware level and not just feuling and intake. Or either take the ns400z route and make this 310 extremely accessible(pulsar 250 level) or go the ktm route and make the biggest baddest 400 out there, then maybe you'll have a worthy competitor to the duke. The tvs bmw partnership has wrought nothing but failure to both companies. And at this point bmw is just taking advantage of tvs to produce larger profit margins. This partnership is done for, either tvs has to look for a better partner or just wait till the nightmarish documents expire, and then maybe look towards the old partner of bajaj, kawasaki......
The issue has been articulated clearly. Since the engine's launch, it has consistently delivered subpar results, whether with the RTR 310 or this bike. Awaiting TVS's comeback.

It IS now. More features and better looks than rc. And there won't be much gap in performance too as current rc tops out at 175 on meter, and 171 at gps. And this one will atleast touch 168 on gps due 4+bhp increment.
Non of these features comes in hand during regular traffic usage. If someone looking forward to buy then its just a slight cosmetic and bhp push at top speed which is of no use in traffic.
I own it from 2018, 6 years and 20,000 so far. It is very reliable and no complaints. No ratting noise nothing. Engine vibrations can be improved though.
I don’t understand. Why do people compare this bike to RC 390? It clearly has 75cc more engine displacement than the RR 310. Of course it’s gonna be more powerful. RR 310 has to be compared with similar fared 300cc bike.

Once there used to be the hardcore rc with proper sporty posture and the edgy design ..... Now there is the sloppy Apache and uninspiring rc ....

Single cylinder engines are vibey by nature. To reduce the vibration they need to develop an inline 2 cylinder or a V2 engine.

This bike tops out at about 140 ish.. At those speeds you're not getting much downforce from these wings...its all for show.

Were winglets really necessary? It's not a Motogp bike. They should've pushed the power beyond 40 and increased the torque.

The new RC390 produces 46 hp and has all the features that RR310 sells as optional features.
Also point to note that RC 390 has 75 cc more displacement than RR 310. So you really can’t compare both the bikes.
TVS should have given a larger gas tank, considering the fact, majority of its owners would be using it for sports touring and hardly track riding...

The apache is neither relevant nor looks refreshed, the sales obviously reflects that.
