Actually the Seelbach Cocktail isn't a Pre-Prohibition Drink although it says so in the Book "Vintage Spirits and forgotten Cocktails".
The drink was invented in 1997. A short version on that story can be found on Difford's Guide
The 2016 New York times article by Robert Simonson (mentioned in Difford's Guide article)
    is behind a pay wall.

Just goes to show you can't trust what a bartender tells you... even a fake one on the internet.

Was that a hint at this?
Sorry, I didn’t want to offend anyone. I found the story was fun.

It kind of was but not in a bad way... More so I was working on the Jungle Bird and saw that a lot of sourcing was not accurate but did remind me of your comment. But I'm joking about not telling me. I'm glad you pointed that out it is a funny story

    New subscriber here.
I left a question on your Pisco Sour video. Which WILL be my designated cocktail of 2023.
As a big fan of real Champagne (French) I use Veuve Cliquot (NV) as my everyday champagne and keep the finer vintage champagne’s for special occasions.
Never tried the brand you used so would like to know if the Veuve is good to use in these recipes?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for subscribing! Honetly I would generally not use higher-end champagne for these cocktails. The champagne is easily overpowered by the cocktails but if you drink Veuve Cliquot every day I say go for it! The brand I had was new to me and honestly just one of the "cheaper" real champagnes.
