I know that feeling. I'm the oldest of four and my siblings mean a lot to me. Wiess, I can somewhat understand cause her family isn't that tight-knitted, but she should really just talk to her brother in the next ep. Remember when Yang used to crack puns, be really flashy in combat, and had a witty sense of humor? Those were the days, sure she lost an arm and has sad, but now she is better, where is everything that composed her character? Why isn't she trying to lighten up the situation, why isn't she doing anything volume 1-3 Yang did, you don't have to be serious all the time, why couldn't she be like her previous self more in V6 and V7, I kind of get here, but why not before?
And the shippers have issues with their families if they think every parental figure is just gaslighting when they are (if handled right for once) doing the right thing

Even many Bumblebee shippers thought it was odd and bad that Yang was worried more about Blake's thoughts on her instead of her own sister, especially since just minutes earlier we saw Ruby being worried about Yang not picking up her calls. I hated that Yang and Blake were attached to each other since beginning of volume 6, because they are the only members of RWBY who actually talk and interact. Their only character arcs are Bumblebee. But even when separated Yang can only think about Blake. Yang should have just said Blake instead of "she. How was Jaune supposed know who she was talking about?
I'm guessing that they tried to be vague about it; try to keep the Bumblebee shippers happy while implying that Yang could've been talking about Ruby. But, honestly, if they really wanted to nail that, they should've just has Yang reply 'Yeah,' to Jaune's reply without her adding 'Ruby' like she wasn't actually talking about her. Of course, Vex's idea about her admitting that Ren was right, but she doesn't want to give up would've been good too. Just imagine it: Yang: Do you think Ren was right? I don't think that's really lover stuff, though; I think that's more being upset over Blake siding with Ruby on Amity over helping people in trouble - especially since Blake was the one who convinced Yang to trust the Happy Huntresses in the first place. Not that I necessarily fault Blake for wanting to get the word about Salem out to the rest of the world (i.e., Menagerie and the faunus), but it probably isn't any more enjoyable for Yang to break with the partner she just finished making amends with in V6 than it was to break with her sister.

From making it across Anima to her own to being the only one of them that didn't give in to the Apathy Grimm - Ruby was the one who looked like she had it "all together" up until V7-8. By contrast, despite putting up a "cool cat" persona, Blake's always looked like the more emotionally fragile one - from running off when accidentally outing herself as a faunus to obsessing over Torchwood working with the WF; from ditching Yang over a guilt-complex to caving the worst out of anyone under the Apathy Grimm and (most recently) shedding tears over the death of a man who was nothing but harmful to her - even discounting Blake and Yang's bond being the one most in need of repair post-V3, Blake's arguably always looked like she was the one who "needed" someone more than Ruby did. Simply put; no, this was not done "for the shippers" IMHO - it's more because Blake was never really shown to be the strongest person, mixed with possibly a little angst in Yang that the person who convinced her to think about caring for people beyond Ruby didn't try to help save those people and come with her. Now that's not saying a ship will or won't happen - that's just saying I don't see it being the reason for this.

I am honestly just not shocked anymore. Yang's character has been so utterly dumped into a trash bin by now, along with everyone else. You see, Yang has these moments of clarity and self awareness where we get a glimpse of her old self. Where she briefly agreed with Ironwood before the cat wench perverted her mind in season 7(she never thanked him for giving her a new lease on life with the arm), and at the start of 8 when she indirectly called Ruby a disastrous leader(based). But then they turn right around and make her go full retard immediately after. Like wow.
I... don't really see that, though? Blake didn't do anything *objectively* wrong in V7, much less "perverted her mind" - she simply pointed out they had no reason to treat Robyin's group as enemies just because Ironwood wouldn't trust them; it was no different than blindly taking Ozpin at his word. The only real problem one could have with the situation is that... well, they both initially trusted Ruby's judgements despite *her* being a liar towards Ironwood XD. In turn, for V8... when I look at Ruby and Yang a quote from Jonathan Stroud’s “The Bartimaeus Trilogy: The Amulet of Sammarkand” comes to mind, when the story’s namesake demon-protagonist chastises the human-protagonist/his summoner for getting his teacher and said teacher’s wife killed in his game of payback towards another mage; ~ _“It isn't justice or honor that drives you now, boy, but _*_guilt._*_ You can't take the consequences of your actions. You seek to drown out what you've done”_ ~ To me at least, this encapsulates the impetus for the sister's actions in the V7 finale and V8. In V6, Ruby was getting pretty big-for-her-britches in talking about how they’ve come far without Ozpin, and it immediately came back to bite her when their plan caused a fight with the Atlas military that scared the townspeople of Argus and drew a Grimm Leviathan to them. This is that but tenfold - Ruby lied to to Ironwood, seemingly losing faith in authority figures after all the veteran huntsman became broken pedestals to her (Qrow for being a drunk, Oz for being a liar, Lionheart for being a traitor - hell, maybe even her own mother for dying on her) and now, in desperation to fix it, she’s trying to save both Mantle and Atlas even if it jeopardizes the chances of _anyone_ getting out alive by keeping the Winter Maiden away from the Staff of Creation along with splitting Atlas' efforts between her rebellion and Salem's invasion. Likewise, I'd argue Yang's attempts to save all the people in Mantle on her own is born of possibly feeling her sister's become a broken pedestal to her - she trusted Ruby to do the right thing and instead the girl basically let fear of Ironwood not doing what was "best" consume her, so now Yang's desperately trying to drown out the guilt of letting Ruby make choices she wasn't ready for and possibly breaking Atlas in the process.

That's... a hard one, honestly. IMHO, Blake's supporting Ruby probably comes down to one thing; Menagerie. She probably wants her parents and people to know the danger they discovered. So IDK if Yang would necessarily think less of Blake for it - maybe be sad that they weren't on the same page, but I don't see her carrying a grudge the same as when Blake ditched her.
Of course not, but this isn't just a value-neutral difference of opinion. First and foremost, Yang is dealing with failure. She doesn't know how well Ruby's plan has gone, but she does know that hers is about as snafu'd as she can imagine, and without serious intervention is going to end in at least one of her team dying. Secondly, and this is important, she knows Blake doesn't see everything the way she does. She probably thinks that Blake *would* put more emphasis on doing something world-level than city-level because that's what Blake said she wanted to do as part of being a Huntress. This was in the same Volume where Blake blew up at the rest of them for focusing on unimportant things when the fate of the world was at stake and they might not ever be ready to face the enemy, which is why her mind probably went to it when Ren was saying a lot of the same things both last Volume and this one.
I can honestly say rwby has 3 things they worst at including all the shows i watched rwby has the worst main character i ever seen. The worst group i ever seen. The worst ship I ever seen.
For real. I don't really get why this ship is so popular. Yang and Blake (outside of that one scene in Volume 2) barely had an actual conversation with each other for most of the series yet now we're supposed to believe that they're in love?

Its like they're trying volume 5 all over again just in reverse. I also hated when Blake made the comment on how Yang and Ruby disagreeing with each other bothered her. It seems like CRWBY is using the "fight" between the sisters as a way to push more YellowJacket into focus.
After episode 1 I was like: "Oh my god, yes! Finally Yang and Blake will be separated, that may gave them some character moments besides other than just being a ship! That's great!" And then comes Yang "mY gIrLfRiEnD hAtEs Me". Seriously...? Which is made even more infuriating considering the lack of interaction between Yang and Ruby during the last volumes.
I mean... can you really blame Yang for that when Blake's the one who *told her* to trust the Happy Huntresses and yet left them to fend for themselves against the Grimm by siding with Ruby? Frankly speaking, Blake's talk with Yang in V7 was a big reason Yang started caring about fighting the fight for the people rather than just for Ruby - why wouldn't it sting when that same person decides the best way to help the people is to leave them waylaid while you bank hopes on other people coming to do something instead?

That probably stung a lot to Yang because it was that talk with Blake in V7 that arguably played a big role in Yang being unable to turn a blind eye to what their mistrust of others has wrought - she probably doesn't why Blake didn't make the same choice, even notwithstanding general worry for the cat having a track-record of being more fragile than the rose.

Besides the blatant Bumblebee shove-in, the thing I hated most was that Yang went full-out hostile towards Ren for having justifiable doubts and then followed up Jaune's surprisingly decent character moment by going "do you think my girlfriend hates me?" I can't think of a more efficient way to highlight how empty the characters feels than that.
Ruby better be mentally fucked after this volume knowing all the mistakes she made and the lives that's going to be taken away because of her leadership.

When you make something bad you can't really fix it. All you can do is just keep going. If you put tape on a broken vase it's still broken. Also if you try to "fix" it, you could upset the people that already like it.
It is in crwby's best interest since shippers are the only people left watching the show. Most of the people who watched for actual substance have long since left.
Problem is that this isn't something that can simply be fixed. They've established this narrative and can only push forward with it. Just like they made Adam an abusive ex boyfriend and turned him into a complete joke, it's too late to undo it, you've already established his character and have to commit to what you've written.

If Yang thinks that her disagreement with Ruby would affect Blake in any capacity, she has the same mentality she believed Adam had. She thinks that if she ever loses Blake, she cannot function autonomously. She is obsessed with needing Blake to always come back to her, and if someday Blake doesn't return to her, she'll break like Adam did. *She thinks that Blake is the only thing separating her from becoming Adam.* That's not a way to live. She's doing exactly what Blake warned Nora not to do: Over attaching herself to another individual at the cost of her own identity. She's just one bad day away from becoming Adam.
Hell, she's already pretty damn close to Adam as it is. The anger issues, the quickness to resort to violence, losing one's original goals because of the trash cat.
I mean, to be completely honest, if he didn't work with Tyrian, he probably would've died. Clover wasn't going to team up with Qrow either, since he was targeting Qrow for some time. Although, he could've done something different, like fly away as a Crow, to retreat the situation and to find his family.
The better question is why did Qrow attack in the first place on the aircraft when he was already trying to reason with everyone and Clover only defended himself?

Qrow didn't team up with Tyrian, Tyrian stopped attacking Qrow and ignored him and Clover attacked both of them, which caused clover to die because he was 2v1ing. Its partially clovers fault for not teaming up against Tyrian

Yang is far more obsessed with Blake than the other way around. Throughout V4 & V5 Blake hardly ever gave Yang any thought, meanwhile Yang (the supposedly overprotective sister lol) tends to be way more concerned about Blake's wellbeing than Ruby's.

As one of the eldest of seven kids, I worry about my young siblings no matter what. Even worry about my older ones too. One of the three youngest has a black belt. She knows how to deal with assholes. But im still going to worry. Im still going to feel bad when I bring them down and worry if they hate me for revealing truth to them. But I will not let no girl/guy get between my siblings and I. And if people keep telling me yang knows best then Yang is the worst sister ever.
Agreed, I'm the oldest of four and though my younger siblings can take care of themselves, I would still make sure they were ok cause we're a tight-knit family. Yang's behavior is looking more like she was never close with her sister even though in early volumes and her own character short proves differently. These people have no idea how sibling relationships work, if they think this is how they work, then they've never had any or they're just guessing while not being close with theirs. Im also the eldest of 3 (a brother and a sister) and while i care for them, I dont babysit them all the time (like getting in their personal life of calling them on a daily basis), they got their own life and have to make their own decisions and deal with the consequences, the only time I call them out is when they worry our parents unnecessarily.

I honestly thought Yang would be more worried about Ruby since they were the ones that fought. Some keep saying it's because she knows her sister still loves her, but SHE was the one she hurt, NOT Blake. Even if you know your sibling still love you, you can't say they're okay with what you said to them. They would feel hurt and partially betrayed! But nope, apparently that's tough sibling love.

They didn't just disagree, they argued over which should they prioritize and started to get upset with each other, which led to Yang criticized Ruby's decisions and her leadership in front of everyone. Just because it never got physical doesn't mean words can't hurt you. While the argument wasn't long, saying something like that before someone cuts in hurts.
And this is why you are one of the heroes of the RWBY fandom. I mean, there was literally no reason for Yang to ask Jaune about Blake. None at all. We ALL thought she was talking about Ruby, but they drop the B-Bomb? WHY?! Literally anyone in Jaune's position would think she was talking about Ruby. Plus, besides RWBY Chibi, when has Jaune ever, EVER so much as said "Hey" to Blake. And don't mention that scene in Argus. I'm pretty sure they didn't even so much as squeak to each other in that scene either.
I get your point, Blake and Jaune have NEVER spoken in the main show. But there are 2 RWBY Chibi skits (i can think of) where Blake and Jaune are the focus: the "Jaune be nimble" one, the "don't worry about it Sun", the shadow clone advice and they have a small interaction during the skit where Blake was hunting Ruby.
RT's fault by telling the fans to not watch if they don't like and Barbra telling a fan, with a valid point, that, "It's cartoooooon!" that's the kind of attitude you give a child, that's how some people talk to a young child. It was a smart-mouthed bitchy thing to say to people who helped you up in the first place. Without the support from fans, no one would know who these people are. This is their fault for letting fanatics take over the story.

The cast and crew act like some famous UA-camrs when the fame gets to their head and they think they can't be criticized for their crappy attitudes. Also, Barbra and Aaryon have been pushing this ship to an unhealthy point where people literally were attacking Adam cosplayers at conventions, that's what I heard . it's honestly a little scary how out of control it's gotten.
something rwby struggles with is portraying family. ruby basically tells qrow that she doesn't need him while he is depressed. yang worries about blake over her own sister and uncle. weiss doesn't bother to help her brother, when their mom specifically told her to do so. bro. it can't really be that difficult, can it?
I feel like the Weiss Whitley interaction will be redeemed later when Weiss puts the crap he gave her aside and realizes how hard things have been for him. Everything else has just been pathetic.
You see, there's a sort of trend going on in Western entertainment. One where family is irrelevant, and pushing progressivism is at the forefront, and not in a good way. I can only think of one modern day cartoon where a family is portrayed well, with others focusing more on ships, or other topics ("feminism").
They couldn't have her come out and say Ren was right, because that's not what the writters want the audience to think. They want the viewer to think Ren is being an asshole. It is just amazing how they can consistently fuck up that badly; trying to make us dislike a character, when in actuality they were the ones speaking the truth or in the right. I don't want to put that down to their political leaning and how that influences their writting decisions, but it is at the point where I can't think of anything else. They tried to make Ironwood out to be an Authoritarian Dictator, and failed by accidentally making him the most grounded realist in the show. They're trying to make Ren out to be overly emotional and unstable, when he's actually just pointing out how everything they have done has made the situation worse.
This scene really makes you question Yang's perception of Blake. Is Yang seriously suggesting that she's worried that if she doesn't go along with everything Blake does, Blake will think less of her? Maybe even leave her? Is this the real reason why back in V7, Yang immediately dropped her opinion of Ironwood deserving to know the truth about Salem like the rest of them the moment Blake said "No, he overreacts." And why she suggested they go behind Ironwood's back and tell Robyn about Amity? Because Blake didn't want to arrest Robyn and if Yang didn't comply with Blake's wishes, Blake wouldn't like her anymore? ...This is the relationship the writers are pushing for?
When they did the whole separation thing, I was honestly happy that Yang/Blake and Ren/Nora would split up and develop their personalities outside of "Ship Component". So far, Ren became the best character, and Nora acknowledges that she has no identity without Ren. This scene pissed me off. Especially when you realize that RUBY AND YANG DON'T HAVE A SINGLE MOMENT TOGETHER SINCE VOLUME 5 (I THINK).

its basically just the writers shouting "LOOK LOOK BUMBLEBEE BUMBLEBEE" but I think it goes further than that, as the issues between Yang not giving a shit about Ruby has been a going on for a while. The writers acknowledge people take issue with Yang and Ruby's relationship, but still pander bumblebee. Its honestly just annoying as hell. Bumblebee isn't the worst written romance I've ever seen, but its definitely one of the most annoying and forced romances I've ever seen.
The only word I can have about this scene is that its cringey. Why would Yang just automatically assume that Jaune knew she was talking about her relationship with Blake during the middle of this crisis? Anyone with half a brain cell would think that she's talking about Ruby- ya know her own flesh and blood yet instead of keeping that and making things simple or just talk about the groups in general she had to only talk about Blake. With scenes like this is it any wonder why some people don't like BB.
As an older sister I can speak freely. So let’s see if I get this straight Yang and ruby disagreed and split thier focus on two separate plans . With one obviously more dangerous then the other . She cares more about Blake’s opinion about her . then possibility her sister is hurt or trapped in jail. That her sister might not be okay with her . FYI sisters fight sure , but fundamentally Yang and ruby are arguing about what’s more important. The world or mantle . Sometimes family’s don’t come back from arguments Qrow and raven are living proof of that .
No, no, your right. I'm an older sibling too and I agree with you. there's a slight difference between Yang and Ruby's relationship compared to Qrows and Raven's. According to Raven, she feels betrayed that Qrow left their family and is visibly hurt and angry when it's brought up in vol 4 when they talk. Raven doesn't have another interaction with him again even with the fight at Haven. Even though they don't have a sibling relationship anymore, Raven deep down cares about Yang in a way that's barely noticed. She knows she's destroyed her family for years by not being there and that Yang doesn't want anything to do with her. In the end, Raven apologizes not just to Yang, but to everyone else because she knows that won't heal their family and leaves again. She understands what she lost, but can't have it back. Yang and Ruby might of had a fight, but it's repairable. I'd be more concerned about my siblings over my potential partner, who I'm not committed to yet. Yeah, you love them, but when you have a closer bond with your family, their wellbeing should come first, and the whole thing about, "Well Yang knows Ruby forgives her, so she shouldn't be worried about her", that's just a lazy excuse to make people not see Yang as the horrible older sister she has been in the recent volumes. Her grabbing Blake's hand and leaving instead of Ruby's during the apathy episode was the first time I was like, "Okay, but you kind of left your uncle and sister in a Grimm filled the house. Go back and get them". Yes, Ruby can handle herself, but if my younger sister was half-way across a city that was in danger, her well-being would be the first thing I think of, not my sexy anime cat waifu potential girlfriend.
Personally, with how forced this paring is, I'm not 100% convinced there really is a relationship with Bumblebee. It really feels, at least at this point, to me, that it's actually one-sided on Yang's part. Why do I think this? Because it's always Yang initiating the so-called "moments" between them. Blake just kinda goes along but doesn't really seem invested. I'm starting to think that Yang is just attached to Blake because of her abandonment issues with Raven. Just like her mother, Blake left her and right when she was the most vulnerable she's ever been in her life. She even sorta gave it away during her talk with Weiss back in Haven; although she tried to make it sound like she wanted to be there for Blake. Although, while accurate, it was only a half-truth. However, unlike her mother, Blake came back and stayed right when they needed her. Yes, it was largely one huge coincidence but it still stands. And ever since then Yang has glomped to Blake the same way a child would glomp onto a parent or sibling after very nearly losing them. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that Yang isn't developing feelings for Blake since, once again, she's the one actually showing interest, but until I see real actual development and not just fan-pandering, I'm not holding my breath on this ship. I'm going to wait until BlackSun as a chance to sail again and see how well Bumblebee stays afloat by comparison.
i like the thought you put into this. If the story was written better, this would've made her more attached to all three of her teammates, but she could've had a better relationship with Blake and they're could've started out friends and eventually built it up more to being a couple. I'm not a fan of these two and not too crazy with the ship, but if they had moments like Jaune and Phyrra, then it could've worked. All we saw was a friend helping out a friend who needed it and Both developing feelings as the volume went, I'm talking about half of vol 2 to 3, but both pull back because of theyre past. Yang being abandoned by her mom and Blake dealing with Adam, with who I don't think had a romantic relationship, I saw it more as a controlling mentor and student kind of thing. With Blake's arc in volume 3, if RT wanted these two together, then it should have been Yang going to the Whitefang rally with Blake and not Sun. They could've made Sun this Best friend Blake hadn't seen in a long time and have him be the one who sees that they have feelings for each other. If there were a scene where Blake was about to confess that she liked Yang more than just a friend, but pulled back, have her run into Sun or have him watching from afar at that fair that was going on. He would've been supportive like how he was in vol 4. Finally nearing the end of vol 3, they both confess, but when the fight breaks out, Yang risks her own life to save someone she loves and strikes Adam a few times, he ducks, and on the final strike from both of them, Adam cuts her arm off as she blasts both of them like ten feet away and damages her gauntlet. Blake leaves not because she was scared, but it was to lead Adam away from Yang, who is lying on the floor, unconscious and bleeding out from a wound until Sun comes across her and saves her life. Yang tells Ruby that after she woke up, she told Sun Blake was with her and that's when Sun tells her, she was gone when he got there. She could feel abandoned at this point without knowing the full truth and that way when they do meet up again, she's conflicted about they're relationship and doesn't believe Blake because she wouldn't trust her anymore until you know, an intense moment where Blake has to earn Yang's trust back and slowly re-build their relationship which would be why Blake sticks to Yang like glue. I don't know lol
Jesus, if Blake continues being, well Blake, then I for one would want for Blacksun to never be a thing ever again. Sun deserves better and needs to stay away from the mess that is Blake.
Things like this are why I despise Yellowjacket so much. It’s all that seems to matter now for Yang. Remember back in Volume 5, Yang said to Raven, “All I care about is keeping my sister safe.” She sure has a funny way of showing it. And by that I meant she doesn’t show it at all.
Hey remember Yang and Ruby's reunion back in volume 5? Despite how bad the volume was overall Ruby and Yang actually felt like sisters back then. I love when Yang tickles Ruby's nose with her hair it's such a small yet cute moment that makes them feel like sisters. They haven't felt like sisters since then because the writers are so obsessed with pairing Yang and Blake together that they forgot about Yang and Ruby ever doing stuff together again. I mean since the volume 6 premier I can't think of an actual scene between the two that shows them as sisters. For the finale fight of Volume 6 they're separated. Volume 7 is just full of Yang and Blake doing stuff together and Volume 8 they're again separated. I'm not asking for much just anything that makes them feel like more than just teammates.
I don't remember who said it first, but I will reiterate this forever The problem with having relationships between characters in a team, especially one that is supposed to balance each other like in RWBY, is that two members begin prioritizing each other over the other two and ultimately the team falls apart because they are more worried about that one person than the whole team. Not saying that it will always happen that way, but it clearly *is* happening that way in RWBY.
When Oscar was getting taken Yang and the other didn't even try, but if Blake was getting taken I bet Yang would do anything to save her.... and if she was taken she would probably blame the others why didn't they do anything to help. (I hope it makes sense)

Did anyone else think it was kind of weird how they presented Yang as the leader of her team instead of Jaune, you know, the actual team leader, Making him in change just naturally fits his character and role. Ozpin made him the leader of Team JNPR, he's just as much a leader as Ruby is but they keep shafting him in favor of Ruby and if you ask me, they should take duel leadership roles.

Relationships in this story need to be done right because I've noticed a pattern. Someone gets together, they have a few cute moments, then something horrible happens to one of them. team STRQ, Raven leaves, Summer "dies" and Tai is left alone with his two daughters. Arkos, Jaune, and Phyrra have chemistry and are cute together, she kisses him, and then she dies fighting Cinder Renora, Ren has been oblivious to Nora's affection fr years, they finally kiss but it was under pressure. The scene needed to be built up to and her kissing him out of nowhere in a stressful situation felt un-natural but RT just wanted to cement it, but they're relationship never happened after that because of the many other storylines they shoved in here, in this volume they're already having problems and one of them will die. I don't know what it is with RT, but they have no idea how to write relationships unless those characters are already together like Saphron and Terracotta, Blake and Ren's parents, those are the only good example of a healthy relationship. Honestly I hope Bummblee happens... That way we can finally be done with the sexual tension between the two and get back on track with the story, well, what's left of it. Once they get together, just have Yang and Blake abandon the team and go off somewhere else. Their story is done cause if Yang and Blake are only here for each other, then let them have it, but it'll be pushed to the back burner along with Renora and Arkos.

Vexed fans are sleeping on the fact that Vexed called them out for not pointing out really bad story/animation mistakes, but asking for his opinion on bumblebee. RWBY's truly is a cursed fandom.
I kinda wished that they used Bumblebee as a way to examine how relationships could effect team dynamics. One idea that I pitched to my brother is the scenario where Yang saves Blake before Ruby, and Ruby confronting Yang about it, but acquiesces after Yang convinces her that Blake was in more of an immediate danger (for the sake of this scenario, we'll say she wasn't. But Yang's speech is 100 for this scenario). Later on have Blake save Ruby or Weiss instead of Yang and have Yang be a bit snippy about it. This way Yang's abandonment issues can be shown to not have magically gone away and we can get some touching moments between the 2. Whether my idea is good or not, the ship should be used in the service of the story and the world. And yes, this goes for hetero ships as well. Renora doesn't get a pass just because theyre a straight ship. If their relationship doesn't serve the overall story in anyway, shape, or form, then why have it? Use the opportunity to build upon your characters and the world.
I'm just sayin, lets keep in mind that Bubble bee was so forced that they completely disregarded Sun and Blakes whole arc together. Also, please remember that their relationship was based a murdering my man Adam, both literally and character wise. Instead of keeping him as an extremists that actually wants the best for faunas. Also also, please remember that Ren spoke straight facts and that people are going to die because of them, but we make time to be concerned if someone thinks less of someone or not? Also also also, please remember that while we're making time for this, Hazel is still kicking the shit out of Oscar. I'm sure there are more "also's", but I think I've made my point on why I dislike Yangs scene and bumblebee as a whole.
I can't believe how low Blake and Yang have sunken to the point where all they seem to think about is each other. I never cared for Blake even in the beginning, but Yang had been one of my favorites. Definitely not anymore.
I feel as if it's more one sided though in that situation. Blake hadn't really mentioned Yang (i don't think she had but I could be remembering wrong) and more or less kept focus on the "mission" they had whereas Yang had that scene where she is worrying about how Blake thought about her--also including the way Yang looks at Blake etc. Again, i could probably be completely wrong because i can't remember if Blake ever mentions Yang specifically in that way

I mean I've felt the way Yang feels about people I love for more stupid reasons, but the way it's done here just feels so...forced and unrealistic. She got in a bit of a fight with Ruby, Oscar JUST got captured, and she had a huge fight with Ren. Blake is the one she's thinking about right now? Someone she's had no real fights with at all? Ruby herself seems to actually be worried with what Yang said with her interaction with Penny in episode 2, really sucks to see Yang so uncaring for anybody else but Blake.
Ironwood was my favorite character originally, now its Penny. I haven't even watched RWBY since Season 5, but I watch people like adel aka and Vexed to get an idea of whats going on. I dont know what I was expecting to happen to Ironwood considering how they twisted all of the characters like pretzels to make them right and Ironwood wrong. I tried to get back into RWBY at Volume 8 but the first episode, when Ironwood just shoots a guy for no reason, I can see now that I was right to check out.

I liked RWBY at the beginning because for once there was a show where female characters weren't forced into relationships; they could be standalone characters with strong friendships, which is totally and completely fine and normal. Female characters can be independent. But that all changed with Bumblebee and it completely ruined the team dynamic and made the whole show about drama.
Hey, someone had to say it. Might as well be Vex. I thought things would have been different with the teams split up this volume. New character combos where interesting. There was communication were there wasn't before. The exchanges were really getting good. Then this. I guess they figured the BB shippers needed quick hit. The withdrawal pains must have been horrific. Yang has officially disowned Ruby as her sister.
Blake had no confrontation with anyone regarding Mantle vs Amity , she has no spoken lines during the scene, and states "we're still united" to Ruby. Ren and Nora have what might be considered an actual disagreement. Not only is Ruby shafted in favour of Blake, Blake is shown onscreen being absolutely conciliatory to everyone going off and doing what they think is best. This means that the scene has no tension as we already know Blake doesn't care.
The worst part about this scene is that people actually think she's talking about Ruby Like Weiss and Whitley don't count as family at this point after their last interaction don't use them as reference on the fact that family doesn't always get along
They’re not Bumblebee. They’re Yellow jacket! At least bumblebees aren’t bad and care about their colony and there’s a good Transformer named after it. Yellow jackets are only looking out for themselves.
So...chapter 6 is out and we FINALLY see a backstory Vexed has been waiting for. I'm EAGERLY awaiting that chapter discussion, or any opinion Vexed has to offer about it
You know, if Yang had an establishing shot of her trying to call Blake during their walk to their shelter/Ren’s justified rant before she asked her question and had Jaune misunderstand who she meant, this little bumblebee moment could’ve worked. Still for me personally, I don’t see them as a couple but rather close friends who hashed out their differences (maybe it was during the drive up to the radar tower in volume 6) and just grew closer as a result (not as in a “I wanna fuck you” kind of way but rather “you’re basically my sister” kind of way). There’s no bedroom eyes, no blushing, no random handholding, just two girls re-establishing their friendship and fighting an opponent whilst saying they have each other’s backs.
I find it sad that Ruby is worried sick about her sister, Yang, and she's not even on Yang's mind. Yang is becoming more like her mother. Also just curious, are the chapter discussions basically over now or are these videos basically a substitute for the chapter discussions?
Yang has lost everything that made her Yang in the beginning of the show. Her temper, her sass, her actual power and speed, being a sister... She is only there because of shipping at this point and the same goes for Blake.
This whole thing about them feeling insecure of what the others would think of them for choosing the other option is so stupid. Like, are we really supposed to believe that everyone in that circle shares the exact same worldview for this thought process to happen? But then again, of course the folks at RT are the kind of people who think disagreeing with someone else's point of view would be like getting in a fight with them.

All the shit going wrong in these past two volumes is making the show interesting again, but very little. heros and villains need to have a one wins, the other loses count, like with how the Joker gets away with murder even after Batman is there. No one likes the heroes losing and expect them to win every time, but the story would be dull and boring if the plot didn't go that way.
The fact that this could be the last time you can re-kindle your relationship with someone before the death following a major threat, could be your last chance.

Those were the days, sure she lost an arm and has sad, but now she is better, where is everything that composed her character? Why isn't she trying to lighten up the situation, why isn't she doing anything volume 1-3 Yang did, you don't have to be serious all the time, why couldn't she be like her previous self more in V6 and V7, I kind of get here, but why not before?

Even many Bumblebee shippers thought it was odd and bad that Yang was worried more about Blake's thoughts on her instead of her own sister, especially since just minutes earlier we saw Ruby being worried about Yang not picking up her calls. I hated that Yang and Blake were attached to each other since beginning of volume 6, because they are the only members of RWBY who actually talk and interact. Their only character arcs are Bumblebee. But even when separated Yang can only think about Blake. Yang should have just said Blake instead of "she. How was Jaune supposed know who she was talking about?
I'm guessing that they tried to be vague about it; try to keep the Bumblebee shippers happy while implying that Yang could've been talking about Ruby. But, honestly, if they really wanted to nail that, they should've just has Yang reply 'Yeah,' to Jaune's reply without her adding 'Ruby' like she wasn't actually talking about her.
Of course, Vex's idea about her admitting that Ren was right, but she doesn't want to give up would've been good too. Just imagine it:
Yang: Do you think Ren was right? That we weren't ready for this?
Jaune: Even if we weren't, we can't give up. The world is counting on us. And whether we're ready or not, we need to at least try.

I don't think that's really lover stuff, though; I think that's more being upset over Blake siding with Ruby on Amity over helping people in trouble - especially since Blake was the one who convinced Yang to trust the Happy Huntresses in the first place. Not that I necessarily fault Blake for wanting to get the word about Salem out to the rest of the world (i.e., Menagerie and the faunus), but it probably isn't any more enjoyable for Yang to break with the partner she just finished making amends with in V6 than it was to break with her sister.

@@lune8988 Simple; when did Ruby ever seem to have *needed* Yang up to this point? From making it across Anima to her own to being the only one of them that didn't give in to the Apathy Grimm - Ruby was the one who looked like she had it "all together" up until V7-8.
By contrast, despite putting up a "cool cat" persona, Blake's always looked like the more emotionally fragile one - from running off when accidentally outing herself as a faunus to obsessing over Torchwood working with the WF; from ditching Yang over a guilt-complex to caving the worst out of anyone under the Apathy Grimm and (most recently) shedding tears over the death of a man who was nothing but harmful to her - even discounting Blake and Yang's bond being the one most in need of repair post-V3, Blake's arguably always looked like she was the one who "needed" someone more than Ruby did.
Simply put; no, this was not done "for the shippers" IMHO - it's more because Blake was never really shown to be the strongest person, mixed with possibly a little angst in Yang that the person who convinced her to think about caring for people beyond Ruby didn't try to help save those people and come with her. Now that's not saying a ship will or won't happen - that's just saying I don't see it being the reason for this.

I am honestly just not shocked anymore. Yang's character has been so utterly dumped into a trash bin by now, along with everyone else. You see, Yang has these moments of clarity and self awareness where we get a glimpse of her old self. Where she briefly agreed with Ironwood before the cat wench perverted her mind in season 7(she never thanked him for giving her a new lease on life with the arm), and at the start of 8 when she indirectly called Ruby a disastrous leader(based). But then they turn right around and make her go full retard immediately after. Like wow.
As an former Yang fan, I agree. This is why I switch to Adam after this mess of a character.
I... don't really see that, though? Blake didn't do anything *objectively* wrong in V7, much less "perverted her mind" - she simply pointed out they had no reason to treat Robyin's group as enemies just because Ironwood wouldn't trust them; it was no different than blindly taking Ozpin at his word. The only real problem one could have with the situation is that... well, they both initially trusted Ruby's judgements despite *her* being a liar towards Ironwood XD.
In turn, for V8... when I look at Ruby and Yang a quote from Jonathan Stroud’s “The Bartimaeus Trilogy: The Amulet of Sammarkand” comes to mind, when the story’s namesake demon-protagonist chastises the human-protagonist/his summoner for getting his teacher and said teacher’s wife killed in his game of payback towards another mage;
~ _“It isn't justice or honor that drives you now, boy, but _*_guilt._*_ You can't take the consequences of your actions. You seek to drown out what you've done”_ ~
To me at least, this encapsulates the impetus for the sister's actions in the V7 finale and V8.
In V6, Ruby was getting pretty big-for-her-britches in talking about how they’ve come far without Ozpin, and it immediately came back to bite her when their plan caused a fight with the Atlas military that scared the townspeople of Argus and drew a Grimm Leviathan to them. This is that but tenfold - Ruby lied to to Ironwood, seemingly losing faith in authority figures after all the veteran huntsman became broken pedestals to her (Qrow for being a drunk, Oz for being a liar, Lionheart for being a traitor - hell, maybe even her own mother for dying on her) and now, in desperation to fix it, she’s trying to save both Mantle and Atlas even if it jeopardizes the chances of _anyone_ getting out alive by keeping the Winter Maiden away from the Staff of Creation along with splitting Atlas' efforts between her rebellion and Salem's invasion.
Likewise, I'd argue Yang's attempts to save all the people in Mantle on her own is born of possibly feeling her sister's become a broken pedestal to her - she trusted Ruby to do the right thing and instead the girl basically let fear of Ironwood not doing what was "best" consume her, so now Yang's desperately trying to drown out the guilt of letting Ruby make choices she wasn't ready for and possibly breaking Atlas in the process.

Aside from the fact that Robyn & co are criminals (and, arguably, terrorists) who steal from the military under the guise of helping the people before promptly doing fuck all with the stuff they took? That's... a hard one, honestly. IMHO, Blake's supporting Ruby probably comes down to one thing; Menagerie. She probably wants her parents and people to know the danger they discovered. So IDK if Yang would necessarily think less of Blake for it - maybe be sad that they weren't on the same page, but I don't see her carrying a grudge the same as when Blake ditched her.
She got over it in volume 6 I think

Of course not, but this isn't just a value-neutral difference of opinion. First and foremost, Yang is dealing with failure. She doesn't know how well Ruby's plan has gone, but she does know that hers is about as snafu'd as she can imagine, and without serious intervention is going to end in at least one of her team dying. Secondly, and this is important, she knows Blake doesn't see everything the way she does. She probably thinks that Blake *would* put more emphasis on doing something world-level than city-level because that's what Blake said she wanted to do as part of being a Huntress. This was in the same Volume where Blake blew up at the rest of them for focusing on unimportant things when the fate of the world was at stake and they might not ever be ready to face the enemy, which is why her mind probably went to it when Ren was saying a lot of the same things both last Volume and this one.
It was such a small brief moment but God do I hate it. Bumblebee is the worst written relationship in the whole damn show and I wish it just go away
I can honestly say rwby has 3 things they worst at including all the shows i watched rwby has the worst main character i ever seen. The worst group i ever seen. The worst ship I ever seen.

That probably stung a lot to Yang because it was that talk with Blake in V7 that arguably played a big role in Yang being unable to turn a blind eye to what their mistrust of others has wrought - she probably doesn't why Blake didn't make the same choice, even notwithstanding general worry for the cat having a track-record of being more fragile than the rose.

When you make something bad you can't really fix it. All you can do is just keep going. If you put tape on a broken vase it's still broken. Also if you try to "fix" it, you could upset the people that already like it.
It is in crwby's best interest since shippers are the only people left watching the show. Most of the people who watched for actual substance have long since left.
Problem is that this isn't something that can simply be fixed. They've established this narrative and can only push forward with it. Just like they made Adam an abusive ex boyfriend and turned him into a complete joke, it's too late to undo it, you've already established his character and have to commit to what you've written.

If Yang thinks that her disagreement with Ruby would affect Blake in any capacity, she has the same mentality she believed Adam had. She thinks that if she ever loses Blake, she cannot function autonomously. She is obsessed with needing Blake to always come back to her, and if someday Blake doesn't return to her, she'll break like Adam did. *She thinks that Blake is the only thing separating her from becoming Adam.* That's not a way to live. She's doing exactly what Blake warned Nora not to do: Over attaching herself to another individual at the cost of her own identity. She's just one bad day away from becoming Adam.

I mean, to be completely honest, if he didn't work with Tyrian, he probably would've died. Clover wasn't going to team up with Qrow either, since he was targeting Qrow for some time. Although, he could've done something different, like fly away as a Crow, to retreat the situation and to find his family.
The better question is why did Qrow attack in the first place on the aircraft when he was already trying to reason with everyone and Clover only defended himself?

As one of the eldest of seven kids, I worry about my young siblings no matter what. Even worry about my older ones too. One of the three youngest has a black belt. Agreed, I'm the oldest of four and though my younger siblings can take care of themselves, I would still make sure they were ok cause we're a tight-knit family. Yang's behavior is looking more like she was never close with her sister even though in early volumes and her own character short proves differently.
These people have no idea how sibling relationships work, if they think this is how they work, then they've never had any or they're just guessing while not being close with theirs.

Im also the eldest of 3 (a brother and a sister) and while i care for them, I dont babysit them all the time (like getting in their personal life of calling them on a daily basis), they got their own life and have to make their own decisions and deal with the consequences, the only time I call them out is when they worry our parents unnecessarily.

I honestly thought Yang would be more worried about Ruby since they were the ones that fought. Some keep saying it's because she knows her sister still loves her, but SHE was the one she hurt, NOT Blake. Even if you know your sibling still love you, you can't say they're okay with what you said to them. They would feel hurt and partially betrayed! But nope, apparently that's tough sibling love.

They didn't just disagree, they argued over which should they prioritize and started to get upset with each other, which led to Yang criticized Ruby's decisions and her leadership in front of everyone. Just because it never got physical doesn't mean words can't hurt you. While the argument wasn't long, saying something like that before someone cuts in hurts.
And this is why you are one of the heroes of the RWBY fandom. I mean, there was literally no reason for Yang to ask Jaune about Blake. None at all. We ALL thought she was talking about Ruby, but they drop the B-Bomb? WHY?! Literally anyone in Jaune's position would think she was talking about Ruby. Plus, besides RWBY Chibi, when has Jaune ever, EVER so much as said "Hey" to Blake. And don't mention that scene in Argus. I get your point, Blake and Jaune have NEVER spoken in the main show. But there are 2 RWBY Chibi skits (i can think of) where Blake and Jaune are the focus: the "Jaune be nimble" one, the "don't worry about it Sun", the shadow clone advice and they have a small interaction during the skit where Blake was hunting Ruby.

The cast and crew act like some famous UA-camrs when the fame gets to their head and they think they can't be criticized for their crappy attitudes. You see, there's a sort of trend going on in Western entertainment. One where family is irrelevant, and pushing progressivism is at the forefront, and not in a good way.
I can only think of one modern day cartoon where a family is portrayed well, with others focusing more on ships, or other topics ("feminism").
I'm not mad yang was thinking about Blake...I'm more mad at the fact that Yang wasn't thinking about the rest of her team, Ruby included.
They couldn't have her come out and say Ren was right, because that's not what the writters want the audience to think. They want the viewer to think Ren is being an asshole. It is just amazing how they can consistently fuck up that badly; trying to make us dislike a character, when in actuality they were the ones speaking the truth or in the right.
I don't want to put that down to their political leaning and how that influences their writting decisions, but it is at the point where I can't think of anything else. They tried to make Ironwood out to be an Authoritarian Dictator, and failed by accidentally making him the most grounded realist in the show. They're trying to make Ren out to be overly emotional and unstable, when he's actually just pointing out how everything they have done has made the situation worse.

Is this the real reason why back in V7, Yang immediately dropped her opinion of Ironwood deserving to know the truth about Salem like the rest of them the moment Blake said "No, he overreacts." And why she suggested they go behind Ironwood's back and tell Robyn about Amity? Because Blake didn't want to arrest Robyn and if Yang didn't comply with Blake's wishes, Blake wouldn't like her anymore?

Bumblebee isn't the worst written romance I've ever seen, but its definitely one of the most annoying and forced romances I've ever seen.
The only word I can have about this scene is that its cringey. Why would Yang just automatically assume that Jaune knew she was talking about her relationship with Blake during the middle of this crisis? Anyone with half a brain cell would think that she's talking about Ruby- ya know her own flesh and blood yet instead of keeping that and making things simple or just talk about the groups in general she had to only talk about Blake.

As an older sister I can speak freely. So let’s see if I get this straight Yang and ruby disagreed and split thier focus on two separate plans . With one obviously more dangerous then the other . She cares more about Blake’s opinion about her . then possibility her sister is hurt or trapped in jail. That her sister might not be okay with her .
FYI sisters fight sure , but fundamentally Yang and ruby are arguing about what’s more important. The world or mantle . Sometimes family’s don’t come back from arguments Qrow and raven are living proof of that .

there's a slight difference between Yang and Ruby's relationship compared to Qrows and Raven's.
According to Raven, she feels betrayed that Qrow left their family and is visibly hurt and angry when it's brought up in vol 4 when they talk. Raven doesn't have another interaction with him again even with the fight at Haven. Even though they don't have a sibling relationship anymore, Raven deep down cares about Yang in a way that's barely noticed. She knows she's destroyed her family for years by not being there and that Yang doesn't want anything to do with her. In the end, Raven apologizes not just to Yang, but to everyone else because she knows that won't heal their family and leaves again. She understands what she lost, but can't have it back.
Yang and Ruby might of had a fight, but it's repairable. I'd be more concerned about my siblings over my potential partner, who I'm not committed to yet. Yeah, you love them, but when you have a closer bond with your family, their wellbeing should come first, and the whole thing about, "Well Yang knows Ruby forgives her, so she shouldn't be worried about her", that's just a lazy excuse to make people not see Yang as the horrible older sister she has been in the recent volumes.
Her grabbing Blake's hand and leaving instead of Ruby's during the apathy episode was the first time I was like, "Okay, but you kind of left your uncle and sister in a Grimm filled the house. Go back and get them". Yes, Ruby can handle herself, but if my younger sister was half-way across a city that was in danger, her well-being would be the first thing I think of, not my sexy anime cat waifu potential girlfriend.
Personally, with how forced this paring is, I'm not 100% convinced there really is a relationship with Bumblebee. It really feels, at least at this point, to me, that it's actually one-sided on Yang's part. Why do I think this? Because it's always Yang initiating the so-called "moments" between them. Blake just kinda goes along but doesn't really seem invested.
I'm starting to think that Yang is just attached to Blake because of her abandonment issues with Raven. Just like her mother, Blake left her and right when she was the most vulnerable she's ever been in her life. She even sorta gave it away during her talk with Weiss back in Haven; although she tried to make it sound like she wanted to be there for Blake. Although, while accurate, it was only a half-truth.
However, unlike her mother, Blake came back and stayed right when they needed her. Yes, it was largely one huge coincidence but it still stands. And ever since then Yang has glomped to Blake the same way a child would glomp onto a parent or sibling after very nearly losing them.
Now that doesn't necessarily mean that Yang isn't developing feelings for Blake since, once again, she's the one actually showing interest, but until I see real actual development and not just fan-pandering, I'm not holding my breath on this ship. I'm going to wait until BlackSun as a chance to sail again and see how well Bumblebee stays afloat by comparison.
i like the thought you put into this. If the story was written better, this would've made her more attached to all three of her teammates, but she could've had a better relationship with Blake and they're could've started out friends and eventually built it up more to being a couple. I'm not a fan of these two and not too crazy with the ship, but if they had moments like Jaune and Phyrra, then it could've worked. All we saw was a friend helping out a friend who needed it and Both developing feelings as the volume went, I'm talking about half of vol 2 to 3, but both pull back because of theyre past.
Yang being abandoned by her mom and Blake dealing with Adam, with who I don't think had a romantic relationship, I saw it more as a controlling mentor and student kind of thing.
With Blake's arc in volume 3, if RT wanted these two together, then it should have been Yang going to the Whitefang rally with Blake and not Sun. They could've made Sun this Best friend Blake hadn't seen in a long time and have him be the one who sees that they have feelings for each other.
If there were a scene where Blake was about to confess that she liked Yang more than just a friend, but pulled back, have her run into Sun or have him watching from afar at that fair that was going on. He would've been supportive like how he was in vol 4.
Finally nearing the end of vol 3, they both confess, but when the fight breaks out, Yang risks her own life to save someone she loves and strikes Adam a few times, he ducks, and on the final strike from both of them, Adam cuts her arm off as she blasts both of them like ten feet away and damages her gauntlet.
Blake leaves not because she was scared, but it was to lead Adam away from Yang, who is lying on the floor, unconscious and bleeding out from a wound until Sun comes across her and saves her life.
Yang tells Ruby that after she woke up, she told Sun Blake was with her and that's when Sun tells her, she was gone when he got there.
She could feel abandoned at this point without knowing the full truth and that way when they do meet up again, she's conflicted about they're relationship and doesn't believe Blake because she wouldn't trust her anymore until you know, an intense moment where Blake has to earn Yang's trust back and slowly re-build their relationship which would be why Blake sticks to Yang like glue.

Hey remember Yang and Ruby's reunion back in volume 5? Despite how bad the volume was overall Ruby and Yang actually felt like sisters back then. I love when Yang tickles Ruby's nose with her hair it's such a small yet cute moment that makes them feel like sisters. They haven't felt like sisters since then because the writers are so obsessed with pairing Yang and Blake together that they forgot about Yang and Ruby ever doing stuff together again.
I mean since the volume 6 premier I can't think of an actual scene between the two that shows them as sisters. For the finale fight of Volume 6 they're separated. Volume 7 is just full of Yang and Blake doing stuff together and Volume 8 they're again separated. I'm not asking for much just anything that makes them feel like more than just teammates.

The problem with having relationships between characters in a team, especially one that is supposed to balance each other like in RWBY, is that two members begin prioritizing each other over the other two and ultimately the team falls apart because they are more worried about that one person than the whole team. Not saying that it will always happen that way, but it clearly *is* happening that way in RWBY.
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who absolutely despises this scene.

Did anyone else think it was kind of weird how they presented Yang as the leader of her team instead of Jaune, you know, the actual team leader, Making him in change just naturally fits his character and role.
Ozpin made him the leader of Team JNPR, he's just as much a leader as Ruby is but they keep shafting him in favor of Ruby and if you ask me, they should take duel leadership roles.

Arkos, Jaune, and Phyrra have chemistry and are cute together, she kisses him, and then she dies fighting Cinder
Renora, Ren has been oblivious to Nora's affection fr years, they finally kiss but it was under pressure. The scene needed to be built up to and her kissing him out of nowhere in a stressful situation felt un-natural but RT just wanted to cement it, but they're relationship never happened after that because of the many other storylines they shoved in here, in this volume they're already having problems and one of them will die.
I don't know what it is with RT, but they have no idea how to write relationships unless those characters are already together like Saphron and Terracotta, Blake and Ren's parents, those are the only good example of a healthy relationship.
Honestly I hope Bummblee happens...
That way we can finally be done with the sexual tension between the two and get back on track with the story, well, what's left of it. Once they get together, just have Yang and Blake abandon the team and go off somewhere else. Their story is done cause if Yang and Blake are only here for each other, then let them have it, but it'll be pushed to the back burner along with Renora and Arkos.

I kinda wished that they used Bumblebee as a way to examine how relationships could effect team dynamics.
One idea that I pitched to my brother is the scenario where Yang saves Blake before Ruby, and Ruby confronting Yang about it, but acquiesces after Yang convinces her that Blake was in more of an immediate danger (for the sake of this scenario, we'll say she wasn't. But Yang's speech is 100 for this scenario). Later on have Blake save Ruby or Weiss instead of Yang and have Yang be a bit snippy about it. This way Yang's abandonment issues can be shown to not have magically gone away and we can get some touching moments between the 2.
Whether my idea is good or not, the ship should be used in the service of the story and the world. And yes, this goes for hetero ships as well. Renora doesn't get a pass just because theyre a straight ship. If their relationship doesn't serve the overall story in anyway, shape, or form, then why have it? Use the opportunity to build upon your characters and the world.
I'm just sayin, lets keep in mind that Bubble bee was so forced that they completely disregarded Sun and Blakes whole arc together.
Also, please remember that their relationship was based a murdering my man Adam, both literally and character wise. Instead of keeping him as an extremists that actually wants the best for faunas.

I'm sure there are more "also's", but I think I've made my point on why I dislike Yangs scene and bumblebee as a whole.
I can't believe how low Blake and Yang have sunken to the point where all they seem to think about is each other. I never cared for Blake even in the beginning, but Yang had been one of my favorites. Definitely not anymore.
I feel as if it's more one sided though in that situation. Blake hadn't really mentioned Yang (i don't think she had but I could be remembering wrong) and more or less kept focus on the "mission" they had whereas Yang had that scene where she is worrying about how Blake thought about her--also including the way Yang looks at Blake etc. Again, i could probably be completely wrong because i can't remember if Blake ever mentions Yang specifically in that way
Waaaait, they ACTUALLY made a dedicated scene for the sole purpose of undermining Yang and Ruby's relationship to prop up her relationship with the fucking cat instead, FUCK THIS SHOW 8 WAYS TO SUNDAY SO MUCH MAN, if the other ppl in this house weren't sleeping right now I'd be laughing so damn hard at this nonsense I swear lol
I mean I've felt the way Yang feels about people I love for more stupid reasons, but the way it's done here just feels so...forced and unrealistic. She got in a bit of a fight with Ruby, Oscar JUST got captured, and she had a huge fight with Ren. Blake is the one she's thinking about right now? Someone she's had no real fights with at all? Ruby herself seems to actually be worried with what Yang said with her interaction with Penny in episode 2, really sucks to see Yang so uncaring for anybody else but Blake.
Blake was originally my favorite character, now it’s Ruby. At least she actually cares about other people lmaoooo
Ironwood was my favorite character originally, now its Penny. I haven't even watched RWBY since Season 5, but I watch people like adel aka and Vexed to get an idea of whats going on. I dont know what I was expecting to happen to Ironwood considering how they twisted all of the characters like pretzels to make them right and Ironwood wrong. I tried to get back into RWBY at Volume 8 but the first episode, when Ironwood just shoots a guy for no reason, I can see now that I was right to check out.
Mine is Ren, because apparently he is the only one here with actual common sense

I liked RWBY at the beginning because for once there was a show where female characters weren't forced into relationships; they could be standalone characters with strong friendships, which is totally and completely fine and normal. Female characters can be independent. But that all changed with Bumblebee and it completely ruined the team dynamic and made the whole show about drama.

New character combos where interesting. There was communication were there wasn't before. The exchanges were really getting good. Then this.

Yang has officially disowned Ruby as her sister.
Blake had no confrontation with anyone regarding Mantle vs Amity , she has no spoken lines during the scene, and states "we're still united" to Ruby. Ren and Nora have what might be considered an actual disagreement. Not only is Ruby shafted in favour of Blake, Blake is shown onscreen being absolutely conciliatory to everyone going off and doing what they think is best. This means that the scene has no tension as we already know Blake doesn't care.
The worst part about this scene is that people actually think she's talking about Ruby
Like Weiss and Whitley don't count as family at this point after their last interaction don't use them as reference on the fact that family doesn't always get along

Weiss really got a character arc just to go back to being just as much as a brat as whitley
They’re not Bumblebee. They’re Yellow jacket! At least bumblebees aren’t bad and care about their colony and there’s a good Transformer named after it. Yellow jackets are only looking out for themselves.
So...chapter 6 is out and we FINALLY see a backstory Vexed has been waiting for. I'm EAGERLY awaiting that chapter discussion, or any opinion Vexed has to offer about it

The only time I would be okay with it is if Riku from Kingdom Hearts was saying it.
You know, if Yang had an establishing shot of her trying to call Blake during their walk to their shelter/Ren’s justified rant before she asked her question and had Jaune misunderstand who she meant, this little bumblebee moment could’ve worked.
Still for me personally, I don’t see them as a couple but rather close friends who hashed out their differences (maybe it was during the drive up to the radar tower in volume 6) and just grew closer as a result (not as in a “I wanna fuck you” kind of way but rather “you’re basically my sister” kind of way). There’s no bedroom eyes, no blushing, no random handholding, just two girls re-establishing their friendship and fighting an opponent whilst saying they have each other’s backs.
I find it sad that Ruby is worried sick about her sister, Yang, and she's not even on Yang's mind. Yang is becoming more like her mother.
Also just curious, are the chapter discussions basically over now or are these videos basically a substitute for the chapter discussions?
Well, that’s what unfortunately happens when a ship is focused rather than characters, plot, development and ect.
