How much maggots do you get from 1kg of rotting meat?
    How long would that take?
Can you use animal poop to generate emergency protein in a long term survival situation?

Thanks for the video, you can also try broccoli well cooked... and crushed, they smell really bad!!! If you only want fruit fly larvae, which are smaller for small fish, place a net so that normal flies cannot get in! only fruit flies.

Great vid! I've made a smaller version strongly based on this. The flies love it, the maggots arrive, but they prefer to climb the walls of the bucket rather than climbing up the outlet pipe! Is there something in particular about your irrigation pipe? This is soooo close to working for me! Thanks!

There isn’t an odour while the lid is on however you do get a good hit with the smell when you open it up. My neighbours haven’t complained so far so I’m taking that as a good sign.
No, generally speaking the smell is contained inside the bucket.
