I love the Holiday vibes, it's such a great time to create toy gifts❤ thank you🙏🏻
So adorable!!!
Sometimes I'm feeling like an outcast, because when I'm making plushies and amigurumis - I love the embroidery part of making toy. It's just so magical, few stitches and my plushies look completely differend. I can make them happy, sad, angry, whatever I want. It's so... magical!
I agree!! Changing the stitches can give a toy a completely different look! 🍄🌻💓
Super helpful! The face really is the most important part! 🥰🥰💖
I'm so glad you found it useful!! I couldn't agree more!! ✨✨✨
Dang!, I wish I would have watched this before I finished my bunny face. This is my first time making theses little critters. Thanks for your great tips.
You're welcome! 🐰🐰🐰
I'd reached the stage of stuffing my first knitted toy head, I'm making Tilly Hare from Knitted Animal Friends. I remembered I'd previously watched this video of yours and came back to watch it again. It's been so helpful too rewatch. This first head is going to be a huge learning curve as I haven't knitted in around 35 years. At the moment feeling quite anxious about the face to look as sweet and cute as I can. Getting some practice in before I attempt a Little Cotton Rabbit pattern.
That's wonderful! I think when you care about getting the face right it turns out so much better! Good luck! 🧶🧶🧶
I am literally just shaping the face of my 7 inch bunny from little cotton rabbits, my first little cotton rabbits pattern, and came back to re watch this video Elise as I knew it would be helpful, and it is! Thank you so much! ❤🐇🐰
I'm so glad you found it helpful! 🐰🐰🐰
Cuties 🌷💕

Your attention to detail is phenomenal! Thank you for sharing….❤
You are so welcome! ❤️
I love this video! Thank you so much. You made it look so easy, but you’re right about the face being the most important part of the piece--gotta be as cute as possible-- you did that!!!
Thank you!! The face really is the most important part (and the hardest) to master!! ❤️❤️❤️
Elise, I love your videos, I have watched all of them I think at least once and now watching them again. So, I can glean a little more information from them. You are a very good teacher. ⛄❄️🌷
Awww! Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoy them!! 🧶🧶🧶
Thank you, Elise . I enjoyed watching you make this little guy's head come to life. I'm watching from Reno Nevada.

What a brilliant video. Thanks so much for sharing Elise. I never even thought of "shaping" the head rather than stuffing. I'll try this next time. Such an adorable amigurumi. I live in the North of England x

Hi ! Great tuto 🦌 embroidered eyes … on knitted toys - soooo hard!!
Greetings from Malmö Sweden 🇸🇪
Hello! Yes, it is the hardest thing! 🌻
Thanks for this video hunny I’ve saved it , my tricky spots are always the cheeks ... I stuff and mould for ages but the more I do the better it will eventually become xxxx
It really is hard to get the stuffing right! I learn something new every single time! ❤️
Excellent , Thank you
You're so very welcome! ❤️
What a great finishing technique for the eyes, I'll be redoing mine! I just started getting into knitted toys and have purchased from Little Cotton Rabbits and Knitables by Sarah Gasson, both are on Ravelry. Thank you for sharing this technique. I absolutely love your energy and that you too love these little creatures! You are a true delight, warm regards from British Columbia, Canada.
That technique for the eyes is golden!! I love it so much! I haven't seen the Knitables patterns! I will have to check those out! And thank you for the kind words! ❤️
I love knitting but sewing the parts together and making the face is where the real struggle begins :C so this video is very helpfull!
I'm so glad you found the video helpful! Those really are the toughest parts of any toy! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for the great tips about finishing the heads. I just applied some of them to the eyes of a baby Yoda, and It definitely makes a difference.
I'm so glad!! I want to make a baby Yoda too! 💚💚💚
@@EliseRoseCrochet I used the pattern from KnitZoo, but I used worsted weight yarn, and 3.5 mm crochet hook, and I modified the eyes.
Oh I love that pattern! 🐰🐰🐰
Love all the tips, I'm a little afraid to knit an animal. Your animals are just too cute! Thanks for sharing, watching from No. California.
Haha!! Don't be afraid to knit a toy!! It took me about a year to get my knitting skills up to the level they needed to be to knit toys but I'm so glad I took the time to learn! Hope you weren't effected by the fires earlier this year!
I use a watered down non toxic acrylic paint for the cheeks. Adding a little at a time and blotting as I go.
It should be permanent when dry.
I also do my indentation for the eyes separately so I have more control and I can pull it in quite tight. It's also less stress if my knots don't turn out even.
I'll give this way a go though as it does reduce the steps taken.
I'm loving your videos Elise 😊
That's a great idea for adding color to the cheeks! Adding blush usually isn't permanent I've found. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi! My name is Alanis, i live in Brasil and i love your videos. I’ve been knitting for a while, but only started crocheting a year ago. I don’t have any friends that crochet or knit so your videos are great company. You’re so funny and so passionate about your toys, i feel really inspired by you. Lots of love.
Awww! Thank you so much, Alanis! I'm so glad you like the videos and thank you for sharing where you're from! Wow, Brazil!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Really great tips🤗
I just discovered your channel & I love it🤗😍
Thank you so very much! I'm so glad you like the channel! 💓🌻🍄
Great again thank u
You are so very welcome!!
Absolutely love how all the little details come together to make such an amazing final product!! Adorable!!!
Thanks so much, Meg!
Very well illustrated
@@chatelainmakes9830 Thank you so very much!
I use soft pastels for adding colour. The chalky type not oil pastels. It's more permanent and you can build up the colours gradually.
Thank you so much for sharing that!! I am going to try that! 💓
I watched all the videos and bought tons of patterns to make animals. I have the cutest elephant, the Tearoom doll that I embroidered a doll face on my embroidery machine. I plan on sewing the face on and making a yarn wig. I hate mohair wigs they are messy and you can't fix them. I have all the pieces of a horse done. The finish work I do a little each day :)
I love making the little clothes.
Wow!! I love the patterns from Mary Janes Tearoom! So cute!! And that is fascinating that you embroidered the face with your embroidery machine!! Would love to see that!! ❤️
They are so much cuter knitted! Could I do that???!!!
Yes you can!!! It took me a while to learn how to do it, but then one day it just clicked! It's wonderful being able to go back and forth between crocheting and knitting! 💓
🧡🖤
💓💓💓
Love your videos. I was thinking while watching this, that you may want to iron and perhaps starch, your embroidery floss before you use it on the faces. Can you tell that my mind also has smocking going on inside of it? lol
Oooh!!! What an amazing idea! Thank you for sharing!!! 🧶🧶🧶
Do you ever tie knots in the embroidery thread? The knitted toys seem so delicate, can children play with them? I have a pattern for the posy doll that I want to make for my granddaughter,.
I don't tie knots in them but anchored French knots work well. Any handmade toy is going to be more delicate than a store bought. I have fixed a toy before when it was "loved" a little too hard!! 😂
Thanks from Easton PA USA my troubles I can't get the Candy Bear or Romeo Bear 25" eye sockets correct Please show us that Please show yarn choices do many are discontinued Thanks Marianne 💕😊🧸
Here is a tutorial for how I do the eyes, hope this helps: instagram.com/p/CGSXd2-JBuu/ ❤
Please send me the link of the Candy Bear face tutorial Thanks Marianne 💕🧸😊
I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for. Was it for the anchored French knot tutorial? Here's a link for that: instagram.com/p/CGSXd2-JBuu/ Hope that helps! 💞
I am brand new to making these adorable animals from Little Cotton Rabbits. I’ve only been knitting for 2 years and I made my very first one last week and I’m obsessed! That's wonderful!! Knitting Little Cotton Rabbits patterns is addictive!! Happy Stitching! 🐰💓🐰💓
👍😘
💓💓💓
which yarn is the beige one ? im struggling looking for nude colors and good quality...
Hello! It's been so long since I made this video, but I believe it is Berroco Vintage in the color Stone or Rye (can't remember for sure). 🧶🧶🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet thank you ❤️
Where can I find this deer pattern
You can find it here: littlecottonrabbits.typepad.co.uk/my_weblog/patterns-to-buy.html ❤️
Please tell me where you got your needle and how I can get one also? It looks longer than normal what kind of thread are you using?
The knitting needle is an Addi Turbo Rocket. It's the circular needle and it comes in lots of different sizes and lengths. Hope that helps! 🧶🧶🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet I was not talking about the knitting needle. Rather, I wanted to know about the sewing needle you do the embroidery with.
@@libbyworkman3459 Oh! It's just an embroidery needle and embroidery floss. Hope that helps!
@@EliseRoseCrochet I was wondering about the length. It looks a little longer than a normal needle. When both my children were small, they were very particular about the expression of the faces of their toys. You have been such a great help with that.
@@EliseRoseCrochet have you seen the ultimate knitted toys collection magazine? I’ve tried to find the publication date, but it is the issue with the little boy holding the red knitted dog. It is a British publication, but I found it in my public library in an online form. I am in the middle of knitting the robot for my grandchild. Next on my list are the skittles.
