Jon is my absolute favourite. Clawing onto and attacking anyone for the most remote hint of fascism, whilst looking unbelievably fascist, whilst not being fascist was a highlight of BGC for me.
I'm helping!
That is like basically how to do soviet style communism. Enact a ridiculously restrictive dictatorship to protect people from fascism.
Blair: "Elliot's not Hitler, there's no way."
Voice over: Elliot was in fact Hitler.
Jon is convincing me he is a fascist, even when I can see he isn't.
There were *several* moments when I was almost convinced that he was a fascist.
Hes the most secret secret fascist in the game
Adam rocking that “convict who was previously buried in concrete” shirt again
He looks like he got sentenced to life in prison in a wes anderson movie
I read this comment as the intro was playing so I was like “huh? What could that possibly look li- OH MY GOD” I practically did a spit take
Would love to see you play more of this!
One piece of constructive criticism if you do: it'd be nice if you had something like a 5 second reveal of everyones roles at the start of the game, but then hid them for the rest of it. That way the people who don't want to know your roles can look away and guess for themselves, but the ones who do want to know can still do so!
ADAM: That's a very good idea! If we do another Social Deduction game on BGC (and we will, don't worry), we'll do that next time x
@@NoRollsBarred Looking forward do it!!
Ahh yes! I second this! Would love to see a part 2
@@NoRollsBarred another one would be names on screen attached to each person, I'm terrible with names and it's more fun to focus on the game rather than deduct who people are talking about
@@mibbles2371 fr
poor Elliot having to sit there this whole video with the title "HITLER" labeled on them the entire time.
Elliot played this brilliantly
"Sorry, everyone, we're actually playing 'Oops, All Hitlers!', my mistake!"
Also, there are 11 fascist policy cards and 6 liberal policy cards.
That's almost two-to-one odds in favor of fascism. The average hand should be FFL, but FFF is very plausible with LLF or LLL both being rare.
I know this is an old video, but that's mathematics.
Yeah, this is something that should really be emphasized to first time players. Fascist cards are most of the deck and triple fascist is not that unusual. If a Liberal or two come out early triple Fasicst is basically inevitable.
But that’s good. Because it forces liberal players sometimes to pass fascists policies. That way it’s not just the fascists passing them. It makes it a lot harder to see who really is a fascist
"That's something a fascist would say."
New Drinking Game Idea When Playing Secret Hitler.
Everyone: Thinks Adam is dodge
Also everyone: accepts his nomination immediately after three fascist cards were played
Elliot being a pristine angel overrode everything. XD and the nonsense card draw giving fascists a ton of free wins?...
"I HAVENT SAID ANYTHING!"
- Mr Davis, being accused of being a facist, Christmas 2020
Oof
Elliot's silence for the most part should feel like a sus alert.
See also: “I’m a terrible liar”
#1 rule of these social deduction/betrayer games: the good team has to do a lot of deduction to win, and that means talking. The bad team wants to move the game along as quickly as possible, because they have the advantage as long as the good guys don't put all the pieces together. Someone who is saying very little is likely a betrayer.
How about people silent by nature?
@@Phyrre56 I regularly get targeted in social deduction games because I naturally am more of an observer until I have a solid line of rhetoric to explain why I think someone is sus, and thus I'll often get voted out before I spot anything because after 2 rounds of saying nothing because I haven't spotted a pattern yet, people are like "oh he's really quiet, that's sus"
As a naturally quiet & reserved person, this is exactly why I hate playing social deduction games. I'm always in the crosshairs just for behaving like myself.
*Blair: Elliott is not Hitler that is no way.*
me who can see everybody roles: *Famous last words Blair*
Everyone being not suspicious of Elliott in the slightest while I saw the big old "Hitler" at the bottom of his screen was hilarious. Especially when he said he's a terrible liar.
This has to be one of the most awkward games to hear others playing without any context. "I'M NOT HITLER!" shouts your roommate from their room.
I HIGHLY Agree with Jon. I want more games of this.
I'd happily watch a weekly series of this game. Great fun
Blair putting up her cat as leverage
I kinda like that it happened to show this interaction
as a german person i would never actually buy this game and whip it out at board game nights but i love seeing people play it, definitely one of my favorite social deduction games
As a German, I own this game and it is one of my favourite party social deduction games in the world. Always remember that the most dangerous fascists are the ones you think you know :)
Don't they have a "Secret Stalin" version?
Why not? The rest of Europe is over it and is happily playing this game. And I presume you weren't even born back then, so no one is going to think you're an actual fascist just for owning this game.
I enjoy playing this with German friends (although I have noticed that they have been Hitler an above average number of times 🤔😜)
It is one of the best social deduction games out there, but if the theme is really putting you off, I can recommend The Resistance Avalon. It is a bit more complex but almost as good.
There’s a secret sith version, Star Wars themed
Was probably already pointed out, but according to the official rules, you are not supposed to talk about the policies, before the enacted policy is revealed. this might seem like a small thing, but actually chanegs quite a lot.
Being allowed to talk during the draw phase of the policies, allows a fascist to communicate easily his allegiance to hitler, by saying something contradictory to the actual cards, before apssing them on "Sorry, got three fscist, but passing on one liberal and one fascist"
They'll learn. When they have more experience, they'll realize it's much better to follow the rules. It's much more balanced. They also make the mistake of accusing someone of being Hitler who's playing fascist cards. Hitler always plays good.
@@Dayvit78 *Autobahn intensifies*
A bit late haha, but I actually think it doesn't matter in this case, since in 6-player SH, both Hitler and the other fascist know each other. This kind of signaling definitely matters with higher player counts I believe.
This immediately made me think of Totalbiscuit. Used to watch him, Jesse Cox, Dodger and their guests play it on a weekly basis.Delighted to see it on here :)
I genuinely still can't hear of superfight with out thinking of him.
The odds anyone playing SH should know:
6 blue and 11 red.
The odds of getting 3 red in the first draw is:
11*10*9 / (17*16*15) = 24%
This is actually quite common.
Six red in a row:
4%
It can happen, and in this case we know it happened.
This is really bad for the blue team because this means everyone will have to discard blue policies.

Like, assuming everyone told the truth (which honestly they could have, and also cause i have fun tracking this :x)
Deck: (6/11)
Adam: 3 fascists = (6/8) [0 - 1]
John: 3 fascists = (6/5) [0 - 2]
Elliott: 1/2 = (5/3) [1 - 2]
Oliver: 2/1 = (3/2) [2 - 2]
Blair: ?/? (dont think they mentioned their hands) = *reshuffle* (3/9) [3 - 2]
Laurie: 3 fascists (3/6) [3 - 3]
Adam: Hitler came into power, game over
I've watched Blair's face at 41:20 more times than I can count. Art.
LOL
22:03 Looking straight into the other's eyes saying "i'm not a fascist" with a giant FASCIST sign below him really tickles my funny bone
"Are you Hitler?"
*hides mustache with hand "Nein. Why would you even think such a thing?"
Super happy to see you all play this!
Also can we talk about how over Blair's gotten in a few weeks time? *Insert Daniel Bryan joke here*
By the way thrawn is alive
Jon is such a joy as a player in social deduction games, because he is always wrong in very entertaining ways.
This is my favorite board game EVER
For what it's worth, the most important role of the game is probably: Neither the President nor the Chancellor can say anything or use facial expressions to try to say anything about the cards that they drew or received. They can both lie, tell the truth, and be as histrionic as they want after the policy is put into play, but until then they are required to be stone faced. They break that rule right off.
FYI, other rules that are often gotten wrong are: When any set of President and Chancellor are voted in, the "failed vote" tracker re-sets to zero. This one is really important. The main thing that the non-hidden villain team gets wrong in these types of games is they do not fail the vote on teams enough.
Secondly, when the President gets to choose the next President, the turn order resets after that next President's turn to whoever would normally be President after the choosing President. The turn order does not just skip to the chosen next President and go from there.
Read the rules people. It is a great game. It works better when played properly.
Been waiting for this one, I adore this game so much both watching others suffer and doing it myself
Now THIS is a way to spend a socially distanced Christmas! Thank you guys so much for the amazing content!
I love these kind of games. Really shows how far a group of friends is willing to crumble to win!
Also I think this game broke Jon
It did!
I never thought I would enjoy watching others play board games. This was really entertaining.
Laurie dropping Dad's army and here I sit humming "Who do You think You are kidding Mr.Hitler..."
We definitely need another game of this in the future
AAAAAAAAAAAA I’m so happy! This is a great Christmas present! Thank you So much!
It's so weird to see this played by people who aren't counting the policy cards, my friends in college get very into this lol
@@KingDomsKingdom85 Quite the contrary, actually. If you aren't putting every President under a magnifying glass, the fascists will almost always win simply because there's so few liberal policy cards in the second half. You can't afford to have a fascist President throwing away a liberal card and then killing a liberal.
The fact that they elected 7 Presidents in a row shows how novice they are at the game...
YESSSSSSS. Now you just need to play in a bind and small world and this'll be the best series on youtube
i only recently started to check out these vids, this was my fav. so good
I can't believe I just found this channel. I love watching people play card/board games. Let's see more! (Also, Secret Hitler is great.)
This video should be the poster child for Secret Hitler: superb play-through!
Best and only Christmas present and I’m super happy for it!!
My favourite board game! Very happy to see ya'll play this 😍
I get the feeling that Adam wants this to be the spiritual successor to Wil Wheaton's Table Top (which would be grand). Obviously, lockdown has caused massive changes, but I'm looking forward to what he has planned once he can get everyone In a studio setting.
Adam and Elliot could not have gotten luckier
I enjoyed this so much.
Really fun video! Would love to see you guys play this again
Wonderful episode.
I live for these kinds of videos.
Aww, Blair's shock at the revelation was so endearing.
She looked so pissed as soon as it was revealed.
This was great. Would love to see another game of this
Me and my friends play this game all the time!!!! Its a great party game and one of my faves! It gets very very intense
That was incredible!!’
Superb playing! Poor Jon
But next time I’d love to guess what everyone is instead of knowing right off the bat
Oli was left speechless at the end there.
That was top quality entertainment, hope to see more social deduction games soon.
I could watch this for 10 hours.
We need another game this was fantastic.
These need to be longer
Wow that last 4 minutes was intense af
If there is ever merchandise must have one with do not underline me 😂😂
Accidentally bought "Oops! All Hitlers"
Masterfully played by Elliott
The screen out of context is really funny
Its alright Blair... even though you trusted Elliott you're still awesome ❤️❤️
Elliot owned that game...so good!
Some of it was luck: Laurie getting 3 Fascists 2nd to last turn, and Blair having been forced to play a Fascist Card Turn 2, were the big kickers. Had Laurie gotten a Liberal the 2nd to last turn, Liberals would have only been 1 point away from victory. It didn't help that the Liberals basically voted Yes to every vote: once you get in Hitler Winning range, if you suspect either person being voted for is Fascist/Hitler, vote No, which they should have as Adam was President.
For most it was their first game I think?
we need a second game
Elliot dominated this game
I'm early in watching this, but as someone who owns the game, I'd like to mention that the odds are actually very good of getting 3 fascist policy cards. When I play, it happens a lot because there are more fascist than liberal cards for this very reason.
Lads, this needs a rematch😁!
This is a great game. It took me while to get the objective at hand, but this is so enjoyable. Is this also available in podcast form?
This would be a great listen during work.
I think the watch alongs for secret hitler are generally better when you don’t reveal people’s identities until the end
Waiting for 3 hours 💕
O mama that was great
Ooft the UA-cam algorithm is gonna have a field day with this one.
that beer garden background is Busch Gardens Williamsburg's Octoberfest
Godwins Law: The Musical
more please!
There are a few metas in this game that I encountered, the stupides is that the first two proposals should be voted down to get more information about who would pick what chancellor. Which of course means, you explicitly just pick the next person in line and state this before hand. This gains exactly zero information but means the games takes longer to actually start. If a majority of the players propose this, I will declare beforehand that I will vote against the first three proposals. If the red team are stupid enough to use this, they will out themselves on the third round.
So the second meta is the first chancellor should be the person on your right, as they are furthest from becoming President.
All of these metas are declared _before_ you get a role of course.
I love ur videos.
I'd love to see you all play The Resistance
Play more SECRET HITLER! More videos please! 😅
Excellent stuff. I hope we do get that return match, so Jon gets a chance at revenge.
PS. Elloitt is dodge ... and, turns out, a pretty good liar! Not a single horn in sight! 😁
Love this game! please play another round! Love the lying!
Hands down the best social deduction game.
I reckon everyone came for Adam, and is staying for Blair. Oli is low key hilarious though
VENGEANCE FOR JON!!!
YES
During the votes I always said, "Ein, zwei, drei" before showing. German for 1, 2, 3. Seemed fitting. First time everyone at the table were like "what?" After thst they *expected* me to say it. Ine time I forgot and were all looking at me wanting Lol
It's really funny how the best strategy in this game is for hitler to stay quiet and not do anything, the exact opposite of real life.
I ate too much food
This is a game I would have loved to play with my family if this had existed when I was a kid. Screw Monopoly, give me this game. I might suck at chance of rolling dice in strategy for buying property, but it wouldn't come to screwing over players by making policy decisions, I am good at that. I quite enjoyed this video, by the way.
Secret Hitler: Where instead of not knowing who got you a gift; You don't know who got you killed!
Try out Blood on the Clocktower if you like social deduction games. It's like Mafia or Werewolf... but better.
I think the deck is something like: 11 fascist cards, and 6 liberal cards
So it is likely to just get screwed over by the draw
Added; cards not used/passed are discarded till the deck runs out, or cant draw 3, then everything is reshuffled
So Blair's turn would have caused the deck to get reshuffled, leaving a bad 3/9 odds for Laurie
Adam’s response to Blair saying she’s happy to be playing with friends...so good and sounds 100% like what my friends and I would say to each other during our game nights.
🤣🤣🤣
Jon is the irl secret facist
Fun Fact. Hitler was an vegetarian and loved animals 0:53
John, Blair and Elliot in Quizzlemania!!! pretty please?
They’re not wrestling fans, Adam has said they’d have a bad time
@@weissbelladonna Can't be any worse than Oli. 😄
Ironic thing about the dog murder joke, is that Hitler was actually super pro animal rights and welfare.
Elliot, you rocked that! Great job!
What website was being used to play?
They gathered no useful info for deduction in this social deduction game XD
Yea, they . . . they dont seem great at that
