I have the Foxbat Killer D model Viper and while it does appear lighter than normal I like it. I work with the Air Force Reserves and see these jets everyday. The paint bleaches out over time. I will agree the undersides do appear lighter than normal but I think the forward gray looks accurate for a well used aircraft.
No one mentions the decal misprint of the star on the right rear of CA721613 Primo model. Its a double stamp error and it even on the box art? Were they trying to cover up a huge manufacturing mistake?
I have this release, too, and bought it for many of the same reasons you did. Although, I was a fan of the options available in this release. I really thought I would buy just this one and maybe another if it offered a scheme I really liked. But, boy, did this really turn out to be a fantastic unicorn now! I'm really reluctant to put down any money on a future CW release at this point. The sad thing is CW is not alone recently in releasing some real mistakes. HM's Black Mamba A-10 (and other A-10's for that matter), Corgi's B-24 Witchcraft and missing drop tank Mustang, JC Wings eggplant Sukhoi a few years ago. We all know inflation and supply chain issues are really making this hobby even more difficult to sustain and afford. These companies should really focus now more than ever to deliver a quality product that wows us and makes us want to spend our money even a little more than usual on something special. The recent JC Wings EA-6B Prowler release is a prime example. That is model of the year material!
The paint scheme is horrible but the fit and finish on both the second wave C and D models was so horrible that I returned both.....something that I've never done with over 300 diecast airplanes! I even slept on the planes and revisited them after 3 days just to make sure it wasn't me being picky, but the second look was even worse! Totally unacceptable for the amount of money. It's like you said, "hot garbage"!...and I really want Calibre Wings to succeed. They did some great planes with their 1st wave of F-14's, Vpers, and Sukhoi's. I hope they drop that Chinese factory that produced the second wave Viper! Thanks for the video!!
When they forced Noel out of Calibre Wings, it went downhill. The guy had his quirks but I suspect he was the driving force behind the perfectionism they had.
Initial shots of the FoV model show major errors in canopy shape and fuselage design. See video below for what I think of the current F-16 options. ua-cam.com/video/60bnuMhoCh4/v-deo.htmlsi=zXDmowsGTD45-9u7
a shop here in Europe have just got them in stock as I was waiting for one but at a price of €193 without postage and for a model with the wrong paint it's an easy pass for me which is unfortunate as I love their models even with the fit problems
Hi, where were you seeing the pics/posts of the people getting the new calibre f16s with the incorrect white color? Is it widespread across all of them or just a few "one-offs"? Or is that not known yet?
Wow great video is so sad I really like calber wings im going to hold on and just wait I will continue to buy Hobbymaster and wait but a gain keep making great video like always Happy collecting peace ✌️
Chanced by this video and i have shared it on our Facebook page. All I have to say is. For those of you who mentioned before to just get rid of Noel Lee and let someone else take over. Well, this is exactly what you get when Noel Lee is not involved. That’s right. The wave 2 Ultimate Vipers were made under the watch of a 3rd party in charge. Appreciate the video. I can say that apart from your own assessment, other things you mentioned are pure speculation but that’s ok because I know what is going on.
Thank you for reviewing. Does your comment above mean the next wave of Vipers will have better paint quality? It’s clear from the Wave 1 Vipers that Calibre Wings can make great models, and I for one want your organization to maintain that high standard of quality moving forward.
@@CalibreWings I think that would be great! It’ll be an excellent opportunity to get your details behind what happened with the Wave 2’s and what Calibre has in store for the future

That JC Wings Prowler sure looks nice. Wish they’d make an E/A-6A Electric Intrude from 1970s Southeast Asia.

I’m not sure about his current status- I believe he’s back in the saddle of “Ramen Models”, which is the new name for Calibre Wings

Based on some Facebook and forum posts, the white color is sadly not a fluke or rare issue. Looks like all of ‘em got the wrong color
The planes are white in color. I own both Wave 1 and Wave 2. Wave 1 is 100 times better than Wave 2.
How do I void the wave 2 vipers? What models are they?
It’s model numbers CA721604 (90-0778 USAF 19th FS) and CA721603 (90-0808 USAF PACAF Demo).
@@172ndairwing4 dang. Wish I had seen this video before ordering my first diecast model last week. Think there is any chance it will look good?
