Kind of way late in posting a replay, but in my defense, I just found this video. I'm planing to drop my 1986 720 regular cab 4x2 and needed this video so I can combine a spindle drop of 2" and a 1-2" torsion bar drop. Along with a 3" leaf spring drop and maaaaaaaybe a 1" block with the correct pinion alignment shim out back, all whilst riding on 16x7 wrapped in 215/55 fronts and 16x8 wrapped in 245/50 rears, I think all will be good. I also plan to install Corbeau seats instead of the factory bench a little sound system. Of course I'm always open to any and all advice, just no negative peanut gallery comments please.
@@TWAMotorsports itll ride stiff regardless because of the static drop but cutting the bump stops has improved travel for me and going lower as well. I recommend the 4” tapered blocks
I would like to see how much the paint will clean up. I'm betting it will shine up. Then a little touch up. Liking the project. Its different. Not a serious big dollar build just something cool and fun to me anyway.
It's always good to have options. I'd keep the camper shell and pop it on and off. I'm a fan of mudflaps cause good flaps keep the vehicle so much cleaner. Rims is a yes but maybe raise the back up an inch and cut the bump stops down for a better ride. Just my opinion.
I like camper and mud flaps. I would just leave it alone everything wheels and etc. to save money like you said you dont use it everyday. use money to your projects and daily driver. just give a good cleaning interior and engine bay.
I say tint the windows and some old school 17 inch billets and roll it . Does the camper fit properly ? Looks a little big ? Otherwise for a cheap gas saver parts runner i like it
I would keep the camper shell and mud flaps. Feels correct on this one. I am not even sure I would swap out the wheels. Perhaps some slightly wider white letter tires that would still fit but give a little more presence?
Good Monday evening Travis. I'm just catching your video.. in my opinion take the camper and mud flaps off.. just my opinion.. looking good lowered...👍

Sounds like a great plan. Will definitely need to notch the frame or it will hit.
Any mini truck ive dropped i cut the bump stop to about 3/4" and leave it. All my minis have campersnalso, i dig the camper
Probably needed the bump stop cut

It's actually sold now
I would remove the camper shell and some nice wheels would be a cool beater truck.
It would definitely look better
Truck looks great!!!
Thank you
Where can I buy the front and rear bumper for mine or can you recommend where I can buy parts for mine
That will be a tough find. Probably have to find used somewhere
I'm old school 90s mini truck guy I say leave the cap and flaps. Love that truck
Lol. I kinda want to take them off
@@TWAMotorsports My old-school nature I couldn't get rid of the cap Lol but mud flaps I see them gone
Lol. The fact I don't want it laying around is keeping me from taking it off
@@TWAMotorsports That's a good point it would just be sitting some where
@@frankm8533 exactly. I have enough of that
Looks better with the drop Travis
Thank you. I think so too
@TWA Motorsports you should put a LS engine in it
Not in the cards

I'm 50/50 on camper. Things would stay dry with camper. To me Depending on what bed rails look like under camper.
I don't know if I will ever get to the paint but I agree it would probably shine up.
Same on the camper. It would look better without.
I had a 720 years ago and The paint looked like this, i was able to get it shining like a mirror.
Nice truck and cool drop bro 👍💪 thank you for sharing ‼️✅
Thank you
I love Nissan cars & trucks, sweet
I like this one

Do you still have this truck?
Nope
I like camper and mud flaps. I would just leave it alone everything wheels and etc. to save money like you said you dont use it everyday. use money to your projects and daily driver. just give a good cleaning interior and engine bay.
Probably the best advice yet
Loving this mini truck. Can’t wait to see more!!
Thank you. May not be much more
Would you sell the wheels?
Sold already
Nice work bro
Thank you
I like the camper and the mud flaps although I dont normally like them either. It is very....period correct.
I know. That's exactly where I am. Lol
I would leave the camper and the mud flaps! it looks great! find yourself some 15x10 wheels and keep it old school! keep putting out quality videos!
I may do all that except 15x10s
I say tint the windows and some old school 17 inch billets and roll it . Does the camper fit properly ? Looks a little big ? Otherwise for a cheap gas saver parts runner i like it
I hate the camper honestly. The rest may happen but who knows.
She's a beaut as is. Shell & flaps are fitting. But if you put nicer wheels, tint, or start dressing her up, they'd probably need to go.
I thinkbI am going to sell it honestly
Need to keep this lol
Definitely not happening. Lol
Leave cap and flaps
Probably will
Yes leave the shell on and the mud flaps . It looks cool as hell that way . If you want o sell it let me know I’d be interested in it.
I probably will. I would sell right now for $5000
Wouldn’t change anything other than wheels, some old school Boyd’s in a 16” or 17” would finish it off, nice work man!👍🏼
That would look nice
Ditch the camper shell AND mudflaps
It would look good without
Lose the camper shell please!
It would look better without it
Drop on the ground
If you don't keep the wheels send them my way
Already sold
Would look better with out the camper shell, still a sharp little truck.
I agree. Definitely would look better without

Yeah. I am back and forth.
i’d say lose the camper shell and mud flaps, get some obs z71 wheels…but keep all the parts for the next owner in case they want them
That would all look better
I like the truck but please take the shell out
I agree it would look better
Good Monday evening Travis. I'm just catching your video.. in my opinion take the camper and mud flaps off.. just my opinion.. looking good lowered...👍
Thank you Keith. Who knows. May just sell it. Lol
Nice and cheap, but a 2x4 and new U bolts would have been even cheaper. 😂
Ubolts are probably $10 a peice
Are you open to selling me your stock ST rims? 😊
Truck sold a long time ago
It barely looks lowered
Lol
That’s awesome, I love it!!
Thank you
Better watch out for speed bumps and ants🐜, might drag!!! 🤣 ✌
Lol. Its actually got more clearance than my green truck
for a parts hauler, that camper shell might be nice to keep weather off anything you're transporting
Thats very true
