The self-titled debut that started it all has turned ten.
At the dawn of the new millennium, songwriter, producer, and multi- instrumentalist Klayton created Celldweller, a ground-breaking aural entity for the next age. Thriving on originality, Celldweller cross-bred electronic styles such as Drum'n'Bass and Psy-Trance with modern Alternative Rock and Metal on his self-titled debut, released independently in 2003.
The Celldweller album met with critical acclaim while climbing to #17 on the Billboard Internet Sales Chart. Celldweller gained Top 40 Metal Radio charting with the track "I Believe You" pulling into a solid 11th place on the R&R Alternative Specialty Show Chart. Achieving a feat shared by only an elite handful of albums, every song on Celldweller was eventually licensed for use in popular media. These songs were heard in movie trailers, TV shows, and games such as Spider Man 2, Constantine, Crackdown, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Enter the Matrix, CSI, UFC, The Shield, and more.
Now, Celldweller has been reissued to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its release with updated artwork and a second disc of remixes, demos, and previously unheard rarities (all remastered for this release). While Klayton busies himself in his Detroit studio preparing the future of Celldweller for 2013, celebrate the past with this monumental work.

I'm 32 now. Still remember when I listened to this at 15yrs old. I'll never forget Celldweller. Probably the only artist I have listened throughout my whole life without feelind of. This song, specially, brings me so good memories which, alongside Celldweller, shall never be forgotten!

Same. Well, 32 now. And this is 2 years old, first time I found celldweller was from a game, I think need for speed hot pursuit 2. Have loved him since!
Yeah, this is absolutely my favorite Celldweller album. The others are good too, but this one is just special and nostalgic for me. There's only one other musical artist I've listened to for decades and never get tired of hearing (System of a Down). I can easily say that them and Celldweller are my 2 all-time favorite groups.
This specific song really reminds me of the feeling I had while ending a super toxic relationship with a manipulative/BPD ex-girlfriend. It perfectly captures that contradictory love/hate mixed emotion.
Bro he still around 😂. With even new music. You make it sound like he's dead or something
I agree the 1st Celldweller album is a masterpiece. True melding of real guitars and bass and drums and synthesizers and vocals. It hits me like no other album does. 🎸
Been listening to this for years, definitely a favorite of mine. Reminds me a lot of Symboint.
Well, same album after all.
Why is this the only track never gettin a mix, is it too perfect, too well created to add to ?
Also same bro
First heard this song in the 2007 video game Crackdown on the Xbox 360, great game.
Same here...very great game
Same as well
Same tbh
Same
I recall the same experience with me, when I heard it I never stopped driving in game till it ended
Honestly this should have 41M views.. its that good
If celldweller becomes popular it would become trendy. if it becomes trendy it would be ruined, like everything that becomes popular on the internet. Nothing short of 70% of the worlds lowest deadweight being blown off the face of this dying planet would fix a sin like that.
@Yuri Ohma Connor you have issues
@@NearingLight k
@@NearingLight Jacob Collier is trendy, but it doesn't mean he is ruined.
@@NearingLight you have huge issues my friend.
I am never getting tired of this song
I love how haunting this song can be! It really does sound like a person's inner thoughts...
The entire album sounds like a person's inner thoughts to be honest. Kind of like having a person speak to themselves in multiple different voices.
You mean like a "Soundtrack for the voices in their head"?
Thats the albums theme. Being stuck inside the head of a jailed serial killer.
@@lordwhatshisname3408 idk about a serial killer but it is a decent theory
Klayton is a genuis..
Yess he is more than that, but off topic, him bring a genius and his music being worthy of being called true Art...
Why is this the only track never gettin a mix, is it too perfect, too well created to add to ⁉️⁉️⁉️
One of the most beautifully combined genres track.
So lost, tell me how can it be?
Desperately trying,
to understand why,
I push you from me.
So close, but so far away.
I cannot see,
how this happened to me,
I'm so sorry to say!
So lost , For so long I cannot tell...
How in my mind,
and what moment in time,
I woke up in this cell.
So close, yet so far away!
I cannot see how,
this happened to me.
I'm so sorry to say!
I want you to go away from, from me!
I want you so much to stay with...ME!
I want you to go away from, from me!
I want you so much to stay with...ME!
...go away from, away from me!
...please stay with...ME!
...go away from, away from me!
...please stay with...ME!
I want you to go away!
I want you so much to stay!
So sorry to say!
I want you to go away!
I want you so much to stay!
So sorry to say!
I want you to go away from, from me!
I want you so much to stay with...ME!
So sorry to say!
I want you to go away from, from me! (So close, but so far away!)
I want you so much to stay with...ME!
So sorry to say!
I'm so sorry to say!
I'm to sorry to say!
Sorry!
Sorry, I'm so sorry to say!
(I cannot see how,
this happened to me.)
I'm so sorry to say!
thank you
God, this takes me back to the days of 2007 when one of my favorite video series was a COPS parody in GTA San Andreas Multiplayer
And for me, back when I used to play Warcraft and COD... good old days...
The best song from the best album. I remember the first time I listen to this was like a drug, I immediatly felt in love. I also like the new music/style, but I always though this was the best "style" or the best sound from celldweller and I hope some day you go back to this. Best wishes
I think this is one of the more different songs on the album. It feels a bit... I dunno how to describe it... "softer"? That's not a bad thing.
Feels strange to hear without it getting interrupted by "Do I need to spell it out for you?
DO
NOT
KILL
INNOCENT
CIVILIANS"
Indeed a beautiful piece of music, thank you a lot for creating this magnificent song. ^^
the best song
and the best song from Crackdown ;)
I love crackdown and it's brilliant sound track
Truly Timeless
One of my favorites
Thank you Crackdown 1!
Great Effects 🎹 🎸 Celldweller 👋👍👏
The cool thing is this plays in crackdown.
I used to listen this song non stop 😊
Бальзам по проводам прямиком в мои ушки....мрр...клаааас....
Epic music, you made art!
1:52 my favorite part
This song should be in CYBERPUNK 2077😍
I just heard this in "Mindhunters", a movie I had never seen before. Imagine my surprise.
Decent film, pretty good twist(s) I thought
Same. I came here as well because of that movie. Loved Mindhunters. Such an underrated movie.
That climax at 3:36
Hah i played Flatout 2 Forever and i had heard this song there. I liked that

I am so sorry to say.
But I have abandoned your music quite a while ago.
This song brought me back.
Epic stuff.
But tell me:
What is your genre?
Is it Electro Metal or something?
It's celldweller {That's the genre}
Klayton doesn't classify Celldweller into any one genre - there's a bit of everything, if you look hard enough - but the basic jist is industrial (a fusion of electronic and rock).
Totally love it and thanks for the responses.
Titanic21 it's his electronic rock orchestral sound design playground
Doesn't matter how many times he says 'electronic rock', it'd still be industrial to me.
The 6 people who disliked the video are sorry to say they disliked the song
Who stole 3m views from this track? >:(
Someone smart
Crackdown anyone?
My athemn when I'm in relations
Почему я вспоминаю Террарию?
Anyone remember crackdown???
I do
