- In my opinion , one of the best Sports related movies ever made. I have always loved it. Hope you enjoy! The Deleted scenes are a bit dark but not bad, coming up after the 2nd part of this feature. i dont get paid to do anything you see in my videos ......i just do this as a hobby ...........thanks for watching !!

I was in the Class of 70 from Oakland City, Indiana. This picture truly embodied Hoosier Hysteria in those years. It was still going strong in the 70’s. I had been in a few of those gyms when I was in school. A lot of them are now torn down.
I was living in Florida when I saw Hoosiers. I cried like a baby by the end of it. It made me so homesick.
I was interested to learn the winning coach was from French Lick. Larry Bird was also from French Lick. He learned to play basketball from a hoop hanging above the old wooden garage on side of his house. There must be something in the water in French Lick!
That was a great movie.
Hackman puts the Fear of God in you ! Just like my Dad !!!

Been to Milan, Moores hill and sunman many times had relatives that went to Milan hs at the time of this team

A wonderful movie, but the Milan Indians weren’t exactly the underdogs the movie portrays. They finished 4th. in the State tournament in 1953, and all the starters returned for the 1954 season. In addition, the previous coach hadn’t died, he was fired for buying the team new uniforms without the school board’s permission.
Indiana is the northernmost state in the confederacy.

@@patrickmason7402. I don’t think so… my great grandfather fought for the Indiana 42nd of the Union Army. We lived 30 miles North of the Ohio River.
