Its easier to leave the spring attached, and run the belt from the PTO up to the deck. The last pulley you loop over is the one opposite the chute, next to the spring pulley. Just pull the belt, which pulls the pulley and spring back. Its easier there than getting underneath at the back. Thats my method, anyway. I also put locking pins in my deck mounting pins. The vibrations on a hard ground (where I am in Australia) rattle them out - I've already lost 2!
Great video I have a 2017 and well believe or not one of my pulleys has fallen off the welds and fallen under the deck and my Kevlar belt came off. Don’t want to buy a new hustler yet, so new deck on its way
@@troxelservicesa lot , it’s old enough it doesn’t have a hour counter but I mow a couple of five acre properties with it a couple times a month from April to October lol
Troxel, where do you purchase your decks? Have an ole hustler that needs a 552705 36" deck l. Thank You
Thank you for a great video. It was very clear and helpful, and the two gentlemen who did the work were excellent.
Good job. My pully spring on the deck was a bear tho!
Yes! There are tricks to help get it on and off but it always seems a bit uncomfortable to do so.
I used my motorcycle spring tool and a pull strap
Thanks So Much very well explained 👍👍 DO YOU HAVE A VIDEO FOR A OLDER UNIT
