I will never get over how many Asian cultures often treat others as “family.” Saying “thank you grandma” or “thank you auntie” to complete strangers out of respect just always seems so sweet to me. 🥺
It's true. I am an Indian . But even when we are buying from some markets or using transport , we always addressing them as elder brother- sister, uncle, aunt, grandpa etc. It's very natural to us.
Exactly and it’s funny to see my parents South East Asian friends go up to acquaintances people and ask them things like “why are you sitting here” or “where is your husband?” Which we would normally see as intrusive or not appropriate but it’s normal to ask things like that in Asia as everyone is in a community and not as private

Almost? I did and I am not ashamed. Kindness, compassion, and caring should not be so foreign to people, that is what really made the tears come. We should all be looking out for each other no matter age, sex, race, or whatever difference. Do good and denounce wrong.
It was lovely that almost everyone warned the child to be wary about strangers. When the real lesson here is ‘strangers can be very kind’ . How sad that a few nasty people mean we have to scare our children.

THINK about what I've just read and absorb it, rather than getting extremely defensive. You might then help a child rather than dismiss the notion as "above and beyond"!
@@pigslefats nope I said above and beyond because they braided her hair instead of giving her a ponytail like she asked. You’re a very sad and angry person, not sure which country you’re from, but it sounds like it needs some work 😅

This is precisely the reason why I love my Chinese community. The aunties, grandmas and even other females are genuinely very nice they love you help children a lot. I will be real. Every type of community has good and bad. There isn't any model community to take example from, since no such model community exists in this world. The Chinese community for example has equally good and bad aspects. Just like any other community. This video is a good video to remind others no matter how bad life can be, there are always good sides. I will leave it at that.
Actually, lot of people are this nice especially in place where is less developed. It's just media tend to show the ugly side and bury the good side. I'm glad that they make this experiment.

@Alex just remember in every country there are groups who dont have good morals..... Asian countrys still suffer these issues as well. Eg gangs, corruption.... crime.... no community is exempt. There are some social negatives in some areas of social culture in Asian communities like image honor before truth and justice's. Sometimes image honor can be deadly and it shouldn't be accepted in any society. Western countries have lost some traditional values sadly

I especially loved the grandpa n grandma. Both equally concern n trying their best. I never had grandparents so I consider all old people as my grandparents. All the people in this video made me cry coz they were so kind. This channel makes me cry but I cry coz people are so kind.
This warmed my heart and towards the end almost made me cry. They treated her as if she was their own child and even warned her about being out on her own. Lovely 🥰
I love how the lady joked that she'll take the little girl away. It's common for Asian (especially) Chinese parents to threaten to sell their kids to strangers in order to scare them into behaving. 😂
In Latino América it works the same! Specially our moms are always saying to strangers on the street things like "sir/madam, do you want this kid? I give it to you, take it", and it was frightening as hell 😂😂
1:42 omg my heart melted at that point with overwhelming feeling how grandpa pointed out strand of hair . Idk why it gifted me lot of things abt dad and granddad . First it was comical and cute how he pointed out for detail . Also the fact that how male members are so participating in every thing even if they are not working directly . That care and love is just beautiful .
As a grown woman, I've always considered the art of braiding or combing another person's hair an intimate act, where trust and meaningful conversations happen.
I definitely agree with this. I seen a movie where a womens mother left when she was a kid and the grandmother in law brushed the womens hair before bed and she cried because she never had someone do that before and she always watched other girls moms do that for them in school.
Is there such a thing as a street vendor braiding long hair for free ? I would be all over that! My own daughter with ling hair can hardly stand me wanting to fiddle with her hair, lol
This brought me to tears. May the creator bless all these wonderful women for their beautiful hearts and words of wisdom. They truly cared for her from the bottom of their hearts and gave her advice she will never forget. That is the kind of world we deserve to live in . Where it takes a village to raise a child and where little girls are not afraid to walk the streets alone!
This is… so wholesome. One of the things I love about Asian culture is how they address strangers with so much respect as to call them “grandma” or “auntie” or “big sister/brother”. It warms my heart so much, and this video did just that. Thank you for the free serotonin and dopamine. ♥️🥰
You can tell that hairstyling (and beauty in general) is a very social activity for these women. They got so excited at the opportunity to style the girl's hair and chat a bit. It's like going to a hair salon out in public. And for everyone saying "this wouldn't happen in America because America bad", it's not that simple. I think most Americans would tell the girl she looks perfectly fine with her hair down and to not stress about. It's a matter of collectivist vs individualist society. In a collectivist society, everyone would pitch in to help the girl meet societal standards. In an individualist society, there would be more interest in individual expression than group expression...
To live a life where this happens all the time without having to worry about a child getting kidnapped would be wonderful. May all of our societies work towards a humanistic goal
Yes. To all children, women, men, enby folks of different races, ethnicities, nationalities, religion and backgrounds to be able to go out without fear of getting robbed by someone poorer, harmed by someone that's not in their right mind, or having any worry they might not be able to return to their loved ones.

I’m 44 and bawling my eyes out. So many times I want to help children, but my own country (America) scares me away from it. I love the respect from these littles, “Grandma, Auntie and Miss”. It’s how I was taught and teach my kids. They call older people Grandma and Grandpa. They’re in their 20’s and still do.
I’m from America too, I completely understand. You anticipate being stared at weirdly, maybe someone’s parent will snap at you and call the cops or literally get in your face. Someone might videotape you and call you a predator online. It’s not a very welcoming place for random acts of kindness, the culture is perverse about doing anything nice.
@@Demi.d3mi its for a good reason tho, i completely understand your point, but in america for some reason it seems to be more of a common thing that commotions in the street happen, and sometime even if there's adults forcing children to go places, people wont even bat an eye thinking its not their bussiness.
If your kids are in their 20s in America calling older people Grandpa and Grandma they will get slapped and deserve it. That's not how people show respect here, and I know you know that. You are either lying or have taught your kids to be punks to old people.
An actual tear of happiness came to my eye. We live in a world that is often scary and dangerous. To see these beautiful folks lok out for that sweet girl in such tender, loving ways makes the world feel a little less heavy. Thank you!
I left China when I was probably younger than the child in the video and I hadn't been back in over 2 decades, so this is all very nostalgic. The West is not often kind in their portrayal of this culture and its people but I think the videos you have created speak for themselves, thank you
The grandma and grandpa are so cute ❤️ so happy seeing everyone treats her gently, and even though they just need to simply tie her hair, they actually make sure to make her hair neat and pretty. It's such a simple gesture but totally heart warming watching this ❤️
Everyone was so sweet for the love they have for the girl but the grandma and grandpa on the wheelchair are so lovely. They were like the grandparents of the girl. Everyone made time and effort to make the girl feel comfortable, safe and beautiful not just with a simple tie but a braid.

I love how they all went above and beyond and did something more than just a pony tail and reminded her to be safe and not go anywhere with a stranger 🥺❤️
So you think it's above and beyond. In other words in your world reminding a child to be safe is "above and beyond" What a sad world you live in-I'd hazard a guess you live in the USA. Thankfully I don't.
@@pigslefats Thankfully I’m not as negative as a person as you are. Hope your day gets better and you don’t spend your time scouring UA-cam videos leaving negative comments to pass your time 🥰
@@sheripie5 So you're American. I get it. You consider advising a child by itself in the street not to talk to strangers as going "above and beyond" What kind of world do you live in? THINK about what I've just read and absorb it, rather than getting extremely defensive. You might then help a child rather than dismiss the notion as "above and beyond"!
@@pigslefats nope I said above and beyond because they braided her hair instead of giving her a ponytail like she asked. You’re a very sad and angry person, not sure which country you’re from, but it sounds like it needs some work 😅
@@sheripie5 You're in denial. You clearly stated they went above and beyond in reminding her to be safe and not go anywhere with a stranger. What the hell? Read your own words. Others may buy your bull. I don't. This is precisely the reason why I love my Chinese community. The aunties, grandmas and even other females are genuinely very nice they love you help children a lot. As for the males they would protect the children. Although they can be annoying it's very heart warming that most of us look out for each other
The last interaction was so cute, the way the lady was smiling after saying bye 🥺
The world is getting better because of these kind people.
@God is a stupid idiot f*cking assh*ole bit*ch and you’re also very disrespectful you need to change that name cus it’s disrespectful to others religion/beliefs. I love how nice and kind Chinese communities are. This is how everyone shout treat and respect everyone else. The world should take this video as a teaching guide for showing how to be kind and respect others.
:O
I will be real. Every type of community has good and bad. There isn't any model community to take example from, since no such model community exists in this world. The Chinese community for example has equally good and bad aspects. Just like any other community.
This video is a good video to remind others no matter how bad life can be, there are always good sides.
I will leave it at that.
Actually, lot of people are this nice especially in place where is less developed. It's just media tend to show the ugly side and bury the good side. I'm glad that they make this experiment.
right? i have a visible disability and i boarded a bus here in America and the first person to try to give me their seat was this elderly Chinese woman with a big bag. she kept trying to tell me it was fine, that she didn't need the seat but i insisted she sit
Massive respect to all those women who took time out of their day to help her. 🙏🙌💗
That little girl's hair was soooo cute.
And greasy. Tough day for shooting, multiple people running their hands through her hair working in those palm oils and no way to shampoo/reset for the shoot without serious delays. Must have felt gross for her...

Very true.

Your dp😂I literally think that is a piece of hair🤣😆
As a grown woman, I've always considered the art of braiding or combing another person's hair an intimate act, where trust and meaningful conversations happen.
I definitely agree with this. I seen a movie where a womens mother left when she was a kid and the grandmother in law brushed the womens hair before bed and she cried because she never had someone do that before and she always watched other girls moms do that for them in school.
Is there such a thing as a street vendor braiding long hair for free ?
I would be all over that!
My own daughter with ling hair can hardly stand me wanting to fiddle with her hair, lol
SAME.
The lady that said “look how beautiful this girl is” made my heart soft

In an individualist society, there would be more interest in individual expression than group expression...
youre right, i can def see that happening here in the states
The west sadly starts into pitching other people business too. But not really in a good way. Some are just nosy.
To live a life where this happens all the time without having to worry about a child getting kidnapped would be wonderful.
May all of our societies work towards a humanistic goal
Yes. To all children, women, men, enby folks of different races, ethnicities, nationalities, religion and backgrounds to be able to go out without fear of getting robbed by someone poorer, harmed by someone that's not in their right mind, or having any worry they might not be able to return to their loved ones.
i love how based on a persons age even if you don’t know them you can say “grandma, auntie, etc.” everyone is like a family 🥺🤍
I take it you are not from Asia! May I know what do you call? (Genuinely curious, no sarcasm)

Hello 👋 how are you doing?
I’m 44 and bawling my eyes out. So many times I want to help children, but my own country (America) scares me away from it. I love the respect from these littles, “Grandma, Auntie and Miss”. It’s how I was taught and teach my kids. They call older people Grandma and Grandpa. They’re in their 20’s and still do.
Good insight Gina Graves
I’m from America too, I completely understand. You anticipate being stared at weirdly, maybe someone’s parent will snap at you and call the cops or literally get in your face. Someone might videotape you and call you a predator online. It’s not a very welcoming place for random acts of kindness, the culture is perverse about doing anything nice.
@@Demi.d3mi its for a good reason tho, i completely understand your point, but in america for some reason it seems to be more of a common thing that commotions in the street happen, and sometime even if there's adults forcing children to go places, people wont even bat an eye thinking its not their bussiness.
Everyonw is uncle, auntie, granma and granpa in most asian culture
If your kids are in their 20s in America calling older people Grandpa and Grandma they will get slapped and deserve it. That's not how people show respect here, and I know you know that. You are either lying or have taught your kids to be punks to old people.
Simple act of kindness 😌
