Not exactly. I think Doom Slayer lost his godly powers because if you read the codex in DLC2 the divinity machine was powered by a piece of Davoth that Father didn’t destroy. With Davoth dead Slayer lost his incredible power and became mortal again. His body just collapsed from losing it I thunk.
I do not think the Slayers goals are as lofty as to want to save humanity. He just wants to skull stomp the King of Hell and will do what is necessary to accomplish that.
Intern guy better be in the next game in a robot body like Hayden and be the head of the uac or ark and save the slayer but act as a huge fan and glad to see him

The Slayer is still alive cause of this: 1) Most likely absorbed some of the Father's energy from the life sphere when he broke it. 2) After getting hit by the energy shock wave from the Dark Lord's life sphere he shattered, he passed out because of the sudden energy absorbed. He's most likely resting now to allow his body adjust and absorb all the power that he took in.

From waking up completely pissed off about a bunch of fucking idiots playing with fire, learning Doomguy is a fucking DEMIGOD and then killing a fucking god at the end of the day, destroying all demons in the process. What an amazing journey. It wasn0t the most heavily story-telling, but the action and the lore combined make this game a great game with a great story. A masterpiece that, while it might not win a lot of prizes, it will be an achivement in the history of viodegames, a new standard for the other videogames to come. Give them hell, Doomguy!
I really like how they didn't throw in any sjw or social bs, and didn't uselessly complicate the lore with some existential philosophy or other crap, just pure violence and nothing else. And that's good as hell! I like the final comment from the Doom guy: "No"

With how they've been empowering Doomguy, I doubt they would diminish the Slayer like that. Turok 1,2, and 3 were all doom clones and the fact that doom eternal uses this portal as a call back to turok 2 is thoughtful and awesome. Turok needs to be remastered they have a hood story line that holds up

Had this game come out in the late 1990's, or even just a decade ago, & then someone wanted to make a live-action movie out of it, the actor that would have been the best to do it because he looks so much like Slayer, but is also a very good actor, would have to be Rufus Sewell.

This is so how the doom movies should have gone like the last doom movie or in fact scrap that this is exactly what a doom movie should have been like and played out like. All these Cinematics and with the main game play of this to the end of the dlc's of course you wouldn't have all the combat incounters in it but basically doom guy would be the same very little talking just have the other characters do that and just have it following the story of the game and dlc's with loads of massive fights with the slayer fighting demon's etc rather than me going on forever I'll leave it at that but yeah it would be amazing and to be honest It is exactly what a doom movie should be not the grim excuses for doom movies we did get the worst part is working out which movie was the worst rather than the best which is such a shame

The ending kinda makes sense beacuse the slayer was sealed away if another invasion happens he's still alive to end it and if the makers invade earth and continue the plan he's still alive and he can actually speak he's just the quiet kid all grown up
