Hi. Just finished my pod. Excellent full tutorial, from start to finish. Easy to follow and lots of fun to make. Colours are endless. Just needs a mini bean bag cushion for those cool nights. Thank you for sharing. I also recommend this tutorial. Happy Crafting 😀💜🙏
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It was very well done and your instructions were easy to follow. I found many others but not in English and auto translate on UA-cam is really bad. Some of the translations were hilarious but totally off base. I think I used the same type of yarn you use here as well as a metal hoop, 10", however, I didn't find your video until way too late. I had to wing it through most of the process and mine ended up being huge. That happened to be ok since I have a 19 pound boy who is the only one who liked it well enough to stay inside for a while. 2 or 3 of the others tried it out, but we're not impressed. I am happy to have finally found your video so that now I can make a proper one with the correct number of stitches and rows. Mine ended up not only being very big, but I had trouble closing it as I have never done anything like this before with no pattern. I plan to look for some yarn like the Russian girls were using, but haven't seen any in my searches. It looked a lot like fine nylon rope. Have you ever seen such material? It seemed to hold the shape very well so I think it must be stiffer. Anyway, thanks again for the great tutorial. And yes, I subscribed 😊 and liked and saved it to my crafts playlist. Hope your day is wonderful! Pet your kitty for me 🤩
I have the N hook, now just have to get the other items , I want to try and make this, I found it from a post on facebook, If it turns out good, i will make two more so each of my cats have one. thank you for showing how to do this.
My kitty slept in it! I found d him curled up inside this morning. Thank you, I did buy the pattern because I was not doing the decrease correctly. Do you think it needs a little bed pillowy liner inside? Just wondering how I'll wash it with the metal hoop inside
I spot clean and vacuum ours as it hasn't needed to be thrown in the washer but I imagine it will wash up nicely! I think if you put a little pillow inside it would be absolutely adorable!! Try one and see what kitty thinks and let me know!
Thank you!! This is a great question and I appreciate it so much! You can work those rounds in two ways. Either you ch 1 and work as usual OR you can opt to work in continuous rounds if you'd rather do that. :) Either way is totally fine. Quick tip: Use a stitch marker to help you find that first stitch!
I live in The Netherlands and here we have different brands of yarn and not the ones you used in the tutorial. Could you tell me how many meters of yarn in total is used? Thks in advance
I would start from rnd 5 and work the pattern from there. :) Do one increase rnd and then work the pattern up until you hit that 12 inch mark and then do the decreases.
It might not be as sturdy if you leave out the 4 weight yarn. That's totally up to you though! Give it a try and see what happens. :) I'd be tickled if you let me know the results!
I really am sorry that I am saying this but really. An hour long video to watch how to do pattern, especially since this isn’t an instructional video for a new crochet stitch or how to crochet. It could not keep my interest, for an hour, while watching and listening for an opportunity to write the pattern.
I really like that the whole project is on video, as my skill level is lower than some, & I can visualize how each round ends and begins again more easily. I can't wait to make this for my babies!
I bought your pattern from Ravelry. I adopted a cat for Christmas and can't wait to make this for him!❤
Thank you SO MUCH for your support!! It means the world to me.

Thank you so much! I made this for my baby and she LOVES it!
😻I made one and it is kind of floppy on the back end, but my cat adores it! He hopped in as soon as I put it on the floor for him. 12:05
I'm SO happy to hear that you have a happy kitty!!
Perfect! I was going to buy something, but I'm an avid crocheter and never thought of doing something like this for my kitty!
I'm so happy to hear this!!!
Bonjour from France, Région Auvergne ! Thank you so much for this nice video !❤🐈🐈⬛❤️

Just purchased the written pattern. Gonna make for my sweet Romeo ❤
Thank you, looks easy need to get my supplies. 🎉
This is lovely. Can you make it without the ring?
I have the N hook, now just have to get the other items , I want to try and make this, I found it from a post on facebook, If it turns out good, i will make two more so each of my cats have one. thank you for showing how to do this.
We have three cats and all three have their own but they all try to squeeze into one together, lol!
Thank you for the great video 😊
Very interesting I have make one for my cat I got plastic tunnel yarn coushing will make it more comfy
That's a great idea!
Mine is really floppy, I’m on round 11… will it stiffen up? Or should I frog and try and make it tighter ?

Hi. I am following and crocheting along. Completed round 28. You have skipped round 29, what happens there. Thank you.
@@Monikas_Handmade_Compendium round 29 is to sc in each sc around. :)
@@HodgePodgeCrochetThank You 😀💜🙏
How do you do this without the yarn strands tangling together? I’m really struggling with crocheting this around the hoop, and I’m a good crocheter……
I'm using a 12" hoop for my large calico. What adjustments should I make?
Hi love these. Do you still do a chain one at the beginning of 9 thru 25 ?? thankyou

@@HodgePodgeCrochet Thank you so much for the response and the tip. I can not wait to see what else you find for us to make. Love your putter! 😻
I live in The Netherlands and here we have different brands of yarn and not the ones you used in the tutorial. Could you tell me how many meters of yarn in total is used? Thks in advance
Sure! I used about 300 meters of super bulky weight yarn for this project and about 150 meters of worsted weight yarn. Hope that helps!
How would you adjust this for a 12 inch ring? My fur baby is huge!!!! Thanks so much!!!
I would start from rnd 5 and work the pattern from there. :) Do one increase rnd and then work the pattern up until you hit that 12 inch mark and then do the decreases.
Nice. What size crochet hook did you use?
I used an N (10 mm) crochet hook :)
On rounds 8-25 do you have to chain one for each new round or just keep working around in the circle
You can do either! If you're comfortable working in continuous rounds than do that. If not, ch 1 and work that way.
Why do you do the 2 different yarns
It gives the cozy more stability and aids in it standing up firm. :)
How many stitches you I have at the end of round 7?
?, what is the purpose of the 2 yarns, must I use the 4 weight?
It might not be as sturdy if you leave out the 4 weight yarn. That's totally up to you though! Give it a try and see what happens. :) I'd be tickled if you let me know the results!
Ok, I decided to work 2 strands of the blanket yarn 6 weight.
@@sheilaflexer6562 I would LOVE it if you shared with me your results!!
Couldn’t I just use 3 strands of 4 weight yarn
Sure! Go for it!!
Can explain where you skipped actually getting the yarn onto the wire? Is it a single crochet around it?
Yes. :) It's just a simple sc used throughout.
Any written instructions?
Yes! You can find this in my Ravelry shop: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cozy-yarn-hideaway
What the size of this?
The finished size is approximately 15 inches long. :)
@@HodgePodgeCrochet thank you for your reply back

No worries! You can purchase a copy of the pattern in my Ravelry shop! Link is in the information box below the video. :)

Hi. I read further into the thread and you addressed the same question from another viewer. I bought the pattern on Ravelry. 🙂
That’s what the fast forward button is for. I’ve just followed it in quarter of an hour
Thank you! I think my cat will love this. Looking forward to giving it a try
