These episodes really take me back.😉 Valiant was crazy hot back then to the point where people were trading Silver-Age Marvels for them. I never got into them but certainly sold a few. I don’t recall that Spectacular Spider-Man being hot as we had plenty of issues in the shop. It could be a regional demand. I’m surprised Ghost Rider 1 isn’t on here as that was white hot for awhile along with NW 1 to the extent they did a second printing. Cool stuff buddy... keep um coming I say.😁
Love this look back. I was kinda getting "meh" on comics during all the pre-Image and launch of Image hype. But THEN Valiant came along and I was excited about comics and hunting for comics again! Pre-Unity is their best stuff (although that's a short period), but post-Unity for the next 2 years was still worthy. I don't have Magnus #0 because I couldn't cut the coupons out. I did that with the Marvel Stamps and swore I'd never do it again. ... It's SO cool how Magnus, created in the 60s, and Harbinger, created in the 90s, are tied together! SO cool!
GNR had great production values for their music videos for that time too. They were killing it on all fronts. You have to give Wizard kudos for pushing Valiant back in the day. Harbinger is a great team. The original run is a bit dated, but the concepts are solid. I re-read it a few years ago.
Kenny, ya know,...you know,...I got nothin' but love for ya! You know this,...man!!! BUT, Uncanny 266 is not Gambit's first appearance. It's that X-Men Annual. He appeared on about 15 pages of that book, we saw him in costume, in full color, and his name was mentioned. I was 18 in 1992 and I was a hardcore collector at that point. I remember the Annual coming out first. And, at the time, it seemed really weird.
