Honestly this is one of the lesser indies to come out this month too, for me greatest indie month of potentially all time. Lost in Random, tails of iron and hoa, sable have proven to be good but not for everyone and have clear weaknesses. Eastward, the artful escape, Toem and Kena are getting some love for being great games. Flynn Son of Crimson, Webbed (overwhelmingly positive on steam), Metallic child are flying under the radar but recieving a TON of praise. Unsighted (awesome demo on steam), steel assault (panzer paladin team), Aeon Drive (overwhelmingly positive on steam) arent out yet but all look spectacular.....and console holders focused on skatebird and some of the lesser indies out of this list. Iconic month regardless, I personally think Eastward is brilliant
When you get the combat down, it’s VERY fun. This is the closest we will get to a Tim Burton game I think. Unless Tim Burton does one or a miracle happens.
I just got this on sale on Xbox. Had no idea this even existed until now. Definitely holds as one of my favorite games of 2021, even if I'm playing it now.
Ya'll shouldn't complain about lip syncing/voice acting on a non AAA game. That shit is expensive, time consuming, and you didn't knock Persona 5 for it.
Fair point you make here. Please keep in mind that EZA has several reviewers and some people aren't as bothered by such things as others. Persona 5 was reviewed by Ben Moore who tends to be a lot more mechanics and systems focused. Brandon who wrote seems a lot more focused on presentation, heck he has shows that are dedicated to how games look via trailers so I think you could say presentation is a huge deal in his eyes.
Title: Lost in Random. Combat: roll dice, draw cards. Conclusion: combat too dependant on luck. Hmm not sure but I think that a conscious design decision... On the other hand I thought I was the only one that saw the lipsync issue...glad (but not all at the same time) this is the case.
Great review. I must say the name is a bit r@nd◇m though. I had a heck of a time trying to RE-find this game after forgetting the name. Not even a result for searching for Alice in wonderland games. But I digress, GG :D
"we share each other's husbands" wait what?!
Did not know who wrote the review. When I heard cant go back to get all collectables or start new game plus. I knew it was Jones
Classic jones review, always a pleasure!
I'm tempted to pick up this game just to support the devs really like the art style and unique concept
When I saw that Jones was doing the review, I was like: "he's gonna complain about the lipsinq isn't he.." 😅
Great review though!! 🥰

I'm still fresh to indies, but what a better time than any to start. 👌🏽
Definitely want to get Kena and Eastward.
Best review I've found anywhere. Think I'll be picking this up soon.
A Jones review is always a great treat!

Interesting looking game, and always love a Jones review. L&R!
Jim Sterling has a cameo I see @2:15
You mean Duke Amiel.

Looks Like an Interesting Game! Might check it out for October!
Its visual style reminds me of Alice Madness Returns and Little Nightmares.
Didn’t expect EZA to review this, nice!
I love this game, it feels like an interactive movie.
this game was great one of fav third party games on the series x. Hope we get a sequel
I loved Ghost Giant so much I might have to pick this up solely on Principle
I want to play this because it looks like something Tim Burton would have made, BUT the cards and dice parts make me hesitant.
Been with you since the early days of GT you still doing an amazing job
Sure looks like a "The Nightmare Before Christmas" environment. Tim Burton should do the movie adaptation.
Good job with the review!😁

Has some nice ideas.
It‘s a great game. Highly recommended

Perfect swimming in 7's
Looks similar to Alice madness returns.
Pretty different game outside the tim Burton visual style
Lol comments full of bots
All I see is Tim Burton art.
