Kay Dunton no that's not normal. They probably were too big for your eye or applied incorrectly. They need be put on at an angle pointing towards your brow. You probably just set them at an angle where they were pushing your natural lashes down obstructing your vision. Not to mention dollar tree lashes are not the best quality. I would try salon perfect, kiss, or ardell because they are still affordable and are perfect for beginners
