love that Kenneth shares not just his skill but his *thinking* behind it. you just can't beat professional training plus experience.
The way he literally explained everything as he was doing it was SO helpful!!!!
This was great and I love that you spoke on not doing things like someone else but making what someone else does yours and doing it your way! The way that works for you and getting the same results that was clutch🔥🔥🔥
Wow Kenneth was great I learned a lot thanks for having him on The Salon Guy.
Love your scissors over comb technique. Makes so much sense!
OH MY GGGGGGG I love KENNETH!!!! love you too... and yall are both in the same space. YEEESSS!!!
Guuuuuuurl we gotchu
KS is a true artist in every sense. A perfectionist.
Wow very informative and professional. I have never been comfortable cutting Asian hair, but this tutorial has opened that door just a wee bit more lol. Loved Kennths style and explanations to the whys. A gr8 tutorial on a very handsome model.
Why have you never been comfortable cutting Asian hair? Is it more difficult if so why?
Thank you verry much for this video!❤❤❤
Excellent teaching, thankyou!
I LOVE THIS GUY .BEAUTIFUL HAIR CUT
Thanks! This was a super tutorial!
This is an honour to watch this!!! Amazing
It's not just a cut, it's a philosophy.
you make men look like movie stars.
Great looking! Handsome young man too, brought out his entire look
Jane Rodgers thanks! That’s me haha
Sunny Chang suuuuuuuper cute 😁
Awesome, thanks guys
Perfect your craft and take pride in your work, wealth and happiness will follow.
Can you do a cut like Bradley Will Simpson (from the band The Vamps). Specifically something like his more recent cut (perfect example would be the "Just My Type" cut).
Thank You
Wish my hair was like that. My hair just falls forward if I don't put product.
Steven, I am so tickled to see Kenneth on your show. it's the first time I've seen him cut a mans hair. I've watched you both for a long time. You BOTH are awesome!! You and Kenneth were my first subs as a male barber/stylist. I love your channel as well! xo Amazing!!
Muy buen video, él Sr. Kenneth es espectacular!!
finally! This is amazing
the sides are really ahrd to explain how to cut now i can show my barber
All your stails are amazing
What is it called when you cut the hair short and layer the longer hair over it like that? I want to get mine cut the same way, I’ve always struggled with the stubborn part in the back!
Whats this haircut called
hey another sunny lol, with a gr8 haircut
Haha I’ve never met another sunny before!
Literally when I saw the thumbnail I really thought that D.O kyungsoo was the one who's getting a haircut
Wish my hair been cut by kenneth siu...he very pro in haircut...i have long hair but i want to cut my hair bob layer...
Nice
What a scisors your use... kashio? mizutani?
What length are the sides in mm?
How would you grow out your hair for a 2block cut? I’m trying to grow my hair and it was like a quiff and the left side top is longer than right and I don’t think the side is connected. It looks pretty weird rn when I keep my hair down and the hair on my sides is not connected to the top so it’s more like spiking out cuz it’s not long enough either.
Hey, i'm growing out an two block hair too. Currently I have an undercat and my sides have been grown for almost 2 months but it's not enough, I still need to let them grow for 4 or 5 more months until I can re-line my sidelines and backline. Okay if you have trouble just leave your hair to grow for some months and it will eventually get into the lenght. If you're not living in asia where the hair is easy to ask for in a barbershop then take hairholders/pins (whatever you call them) and set your hair parts at home carefully to correct the lines before going to the barbershop and just tell them where to cut. I suggest shaving the sides to 0mm instead of the normal 5mm and 10mm because you will get a more clear look for your hair etc.
🔥🔥🔥
Which gives the most volume? Clutch, Clutch XL or Pre Game
Pre Game
nice hair
Could you do an asian men’s hairstyle with more length on the sides while avoiding the usual poofiness of asian hair?
Byron Rosario I think I have
What hair style this is?
When you put the product in, he automatically looked like he was wearing a tuxedo!
Waiting on haircut on thick, coarse straight hair that also grows out straight vs flat against the head. I find it's my hair growing straight out and not flat against the head that makes haircuts difficult for me.
Are u Asian?
@@TheSalonGuy yeah. Thanks for replying ❤. I know you should love yourself but I kind of hate my hair. My hair grows straight out. I noticed while some Asian guys have thick, coarse straight hair, their hair grows flatter against their head. My understanding with my hair is that I have two options: 1. Really long or 2. Really short. But I feel it sucks either way.
Edit: Too short, I can't do anything with it. Can't even hand-style it to one side with product. It keeps straight up and doesn't want to budge. Too long, and it looks like I've given up on life. I've actually had nieces ask me, "What happened to you, Uncle?" (like I let myself go or something 😄). I honestly wish I lived near you because I feel like you might know how to help me.
👏👏👏👏
Where are you based sir?
You should do the Avengers Endgame Hawkeye mowhawk cause it’s not a normal mowhawk
At the end of the day, Asian hair is one of the least manageable hair types out there. It grows straight out and is rarely completely tamed by product. The second any moisture is introduced and the product loses it's hold, the style falls apart.
Z Z fucking hate it
akala ko si brod Eli yung nasa thumbnail
เป็นบุญจริงๆครับที่ได้เรียนรู้จากผู้ชายคนนี้
Nice video 🤘🏾💙 WERE CAN I FLOLOW HIM INSTAGRAM ?
@kennethsieu or @salonriah maybe. I love him! Last year he announced he wouldn't be posting new videos and stopped posting videos regularly and travels a lot but there are so many older videos from the last 5years that are perfect. He's a hair cutting genius especially with scissors over comb
How much are you guys paying for hair and beard?
At my spot I pay $35 + 5$ tip
He use to charge me $45 but I talked him down.
He’s even charged someone I recommend $60 and took 2 hours. The haircut was really good but seems pretty high for a haircut .
TripEL OG Darkness 20$ is what i pay from my barber in sweden but most barbers cost 40-60$ where i live
0$ because my dad is a barber
Y’all getting played lmao. Hella good barbers that do it for twenty, the guy in the video didn’t even do shit lmao
$22 for my son's hair cut at a hair salon in Lafayette, CA. Home cost average there is 1.4 million and incomes on average are $220K/yr. She's the owner and takes 15 mins using both razor and scissors and it always looks great. Shorter on the sides and longer on the top. I watched this so that I can do the same now.. wish I can keep the sides longer.. will try the #4 combs w/ the razor and then cut the top and leave it even longer. Next, I will style my 3 dogs using the same razor!

I’m Asian and I can tell you that, this hair cut is super ugly and can be cut by any cheapest barber.
If you say so
Should just give him a fade
Gave him the 'sumting wong' haircut.
i see no difference
