Thank you for taking the time to meet these lovely ladies and hear about the work they do for children in Alaska. It's such a worthwhile agency, and I'm excited to donate!
This is an incredible opportunity for donating quilts. Sew Yeah/Bearly Threaded/Scrap Apple are wonderful partners for Rural Cap. All you have to do is send them your donation quilt. They take care of getting everything to Alaska and into the hands of people who have the structure in place to help people. Win-win-win.
What a wonderful group! Bless you all for what you do! Do so wish I would have known about this group sooner! Will there be a collection again next year? I don’t think I’d have enough time this year to get quilts to you this year!
Can we donate crocheted blankets also? I’ve got one quilt ready to ship but also have several crocheted blankets that need a home? Just curious. Thank you for doing and letting everyone know about it. Great video and kudos to Rural AK. ❤️🙏
Terrific video explaining where are hard work ends up. It is really nice to hear what all the sections of world cap does and where they need more help. Wildly informative and very well done Brody. Thank you all for explaining things and to help us understand how things get to rural Alaska!!
I just put four tops together that I didn’t know what/where they would go. I’ll get them on the frame as soon as possible (all three machines are currently working) and then get them out ASAP.
I need to donate quilts after seeing this video. I sell I Spy Boy charm packs. It would be so great to have a boy receive a quilt made up in these fabrics. Thanks for the video! Ladies you rock!
Wonderful opportunity Brody! I am working with family and friends to help me with this since my time is so limited right now. If i don't get one finished for this July I will definitely have some ready for next year!
Awwww🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽wonderful. Am planning two quilts to send your way. Ive tried learning to knit but that didnt work out, i hope you get lots of beanies and quilts
@SewYeah I have an abundance of left over flannel. I thought this would be perfect for that cold Alaska weather. Is it okay if the print says "I love Grandma" ? This would be my first time to donate and I don't want to offend anyone.
I have several quilts that I would like to donate, however, they are not 'quilted.' The tops are finished and I have the backing and batting, but am not able to actually quilt them. Do you have anyone that provides this function? I could just either give them to you, as is, or pay to have them quilted. Please let me know.
I have been sewing like a mad woman. I made 3 last week and have 3 in my closet that I had no idea who I was going to give them too 😊! I will hopefully get at least 4 or 5 more done ❤
Thank you for this very informative video. I had no clue about rural Alaska! I would love to send the every quilt I ever made!, But I plan to send a couple newly made quilts with flannel backs❤️
I’ve had issues with how you price fabric and notions. What I would like to know (and I have no problem donating quilts) who gets the charitable donations. Is it you???
@@SewYeah so in other words us quilters don’t get credit for making and sending the quilts to you, all paid for by us, so you get credit for doing something good and we dont
@@sandraolson7813 not when we pay to get it to them and they own a store min Alaska. I think I can donate my quilts to battered women and children in my area and not give some greedy people the write off so they can look good.
If you are going to interview guests, then allow them to finish their sentences! You talking over them is very distracting and ruins the good work you are hoping to accomplish with this video.
I just started the Second quilt , one lap size and one baby .

We're accepting quilts to donate to underprivileged communities in Rural Alaska, as we have done every year for the last four years!
