Thanks for the addon shout-out! Awesome veteran guide! If I could note thing it'd be that each of the mages gives the group a separate debuff based on the color. While the portal is active, the whole atoll gets debuffed and when it lands, a circle around the mage. Green is max HP, Stam, mag and its regenerations. Purple is a group defile. Yellow is a group slow.
Great guide!! Correct me if I’m wrong but I think the green bubble is the resource draining one, the yellow one is maybe the slow, and the purple one health draining? Not 100% sure what purple and yellow actually do…
I'm having such a hard time as tank staying alive during the run around the circle for winter storm. I seem to be always be too far from my team to get heals and my self heals and shield don't seem to be enough (igneous shield, coagulating blood, master's sword and shield). Do you have any tips for a dk tank to live through that? Should I stay closer to the group?
Yeah man, I got you. It’s not easy for sure. I’ll bullet point out some things. I imagine you are doing most of them, but just going through the check list. Make sure you get back in group when the maelstrom happens. And heavy attack during that time. For distance, keep it the same as when you are stationary. They should be able to hit you with something just in case, but the group should be out of cleave. Try to side dash if you can, I find that it’s a lot easier to see the boss and make sure I don’t miss a heavy. Hit your shield early and often, and consider slotting vigor for a hot. Just realized that’s the wrong morph of Dragons Blood. You want green dragons blood. I bet the heal was most of the problem. Try that and let me know how it goes. Also let me know if you are running out of resources. I’m going to be starting a series where people send in videos and I give feedback. Let me know if you’re Interested and able to record. I’d be happy to give some custom feedback.

I think you can get in as soon as you hit cp 1, but perhaps you mean what is recommended? I lot of guilds will put a minimum cp they want you to be because they use it as a stand in for pve group experience or because you are less survivable under cp like 600 (if I’m remembering correctly), but technically you could do this trial at any time. It’s more about doing the mechanics than anything. It would be very helpful if you have done other vet dlc trials, just because there are so many mechanics.

Looks like Qcell helped up out. Green is a max resource and regen debuff, yellow is speed and purple is defile (healing received).
