Thank you Ebelix, I rushed to get this one out, and have been worrying if that was the right move, so it’s great to hear it has been helpful. I’m editing one for the last boss now and then I’ll be circling back to do one on the reef guardian soon.
First vid I’ve seen from you and I instantly subscribed after watching. This is the exact info I’m looking for as a new raid lead. Fantastic job thanks so much!
Thanks Robert, I really appreciate it and I’m glad the video was helpful! Last boss guide (Whish is like half the length this one is) should be out today or tomorrow!
Our group has done the healers for bubble swap. If healer has bubble main focus is tank if the other doesn’t they heal group and then when both bosses are both up we have a deeps as a backup
Oh nice a “TV show” to watch while I cook dinner and sit down to eat! Thanks… like the perspective of the fight from the point of view of the Raid Lead. Just got to remember to listen and not talk LMAO… unless calling “swap” etc…. Cheers
Haha, you’re good man. It can just be important when groups are new to keep the information overload to a minimum as best you can, so sometimes I selectively omit things or just check that person x is doing thing y and not call it out unless I have to. It helps keep people focused and panic down at the number of mechanics going off. You did a great job last. This is a hard fight to tank.
Love the videos, great job explaining. My prog tanks are struggling with the bleed they get during the twins. Is this from the heavy attack or the aoe? Can it be cleansed? Any help is appreciated
There are several. Probably the boss is the one they are struggling with but atro light attacks apply a bleed as well. They can roll some of the light attacks to make it a bit easier. Hard to get the timing right but if they just roll randomly once or maybe twice every 6 seconds they should miss a la or two. As for general advice, I would make sure everyone is at resistance cap. Red tree has an armor cp, they can use masters s&b (I have a tank survival video that would apply here as well but basically engine guardian and masters s&b), could swap a piece or two of armor out for reinforced, bulwark cp, etc… also worth making sure it’s the tanks that are struggling and not the healers. Healers should have hots on the tanks at all times. And should be healing them out of the heavy attack debuff almost instantly. Certainly within two gcds. The heavy attacks from the boss require the healers to heal them out. Tanks can’t do anything really. It does apply a bleed as well as a healing debuff that must be healed through. This is a heal check and the only thing the tanks can do is save their potion for the heavy attack as it seems to function normally. They could also slot the foresight cp, which is what I did in hard mode and then they can spam heals on themselves after the heavy, but on normal, healers should be doing all the work here. None of the bleeds be cleansed. The ground aoes should be moved out of before they take any damage. I have several shirts on how to avoid/stack them that might be helpful. I tried to be thorough here but I’m sure I missed something so feel free to follow up. Hope this helps!
@@Nightharrow I really appreciate the insight. I love this trial and have done it a lot with other groups. I will take the advice and see how far we can go this weekend! Complete aside, I love the cards you make things like optimization and specific builds.
@@mh17239 Oh awesome! Thanks for the feedback. They do take a lot of work and sometimes I wonder if it's worth it. Glad to hear they are something people like/want! And GL this weekend! Btw, I didnt say it, but dot's cant be blocked as the damage is already "on" you, so healing and resistances are the main ways of dealing with them. Also might be helpful to make sure you have as many damage debuffs going as you can. Flare is a big one, minor main, major maim, minor protection, etc... I like to use ESO-hub to find sources for all of those things to see if we have them in a given group (nb shade & low slash (among others) do minor main for example).
I don't know how to do timestamps, but at 32:47 you start talking about Fireside and Ice side and I don't know if that's referring to the bubble you have or the boss that you're fighting and it's so much back and forth between the two of them that I'm completely lost. You talk about grabbing your same bubble even if the other team has it but it's honestly clear as mud from there for me XD it's right when you're talking about the group splitting up from The Middle when the two bosses come down. You obviously say both sides don't grab their bubbles while they're standing in the middle because they would collide, and then I would assume anyone just grabs their proper bubble and that's all that whole discussion meant XD
Okay I listen to it again and I think it clicked. What you're saying is people don't need to worry about coordinating when they grab their bubble as long as they only grab their side when they get over there. It doesn't matter if they're holding your bubble you grab it and you'll take it. That way people aren't confused about order of operations and who does what first and you don't go without a bubble too long and have people die. At least that's what I'm inferring from what you said LOL
Finally got to play this on console last night. Is the final boss incredibly overtuned on non-HM or is it just my group? The damage the tank would take along with the Malestrom heal check seems like something out of a HM run.
Nah, it’s just difficult. That’s the next one I’m doing a guide on but I can offer some advice. So the MT wants to roll the heavies if they can, otherwise they just hurt. They also go off really fast, so just roll as soon as you see the channel start for the heavy. (MT will still need constant hots). Maelstrom needs to be healed through, don’t try to block through it, it will just drain your stam. The big brain move is to put on meditate back bar, or weave heavy attacks in with self heals. Tanks also probably wants Flare and Defensive stance on their front bar until they get the hang of it and a selfish set isn’t probably a bad idea.
On the maelstrom heal check, it’s not terrible if the group can stack up well. If you are having to move during it, a barrier is probably not a bad idea. Once you get the hang of it though, it’s not too bad. Also would note the dps can roll some ticks if they are out of group or a healer dies.
Atros are 90 and 80. I would also assign one person for trash to use dome, or you are either looking at a slow transition or a good way to explode the group. On split we left 1dd, 1 heal and 1 tank left(heal and dd rotate dome) and the rest of the group took boss 1 to 30%. Then leave 3 people right and finish boss 1. Once one of the bosses dies you have 15 seconds to kill the other on normal vet. Also a really long guide for one boss. Not sure if you used a script, but would highly recommend at least an outline. There was a significant amount of repetition.
Yeah man, you don’t need a guide for any normal trial, so you will be fine. Just go in and have some fun. When you get ready to do it on vet, swing back around, I’ll probably have a more concise guide out be then.
Love the video! This fight is fun, but I hate when people call to "kill the dogs." I prefer your use of "hounds" in this video, it sounds more like hell hounds. That's my biggest complaint with this trial in general - why do we have to fight all the fun animals and creatures like those turtles and the coral horse?!
Hey Chris, Yeah 100% I recorded this like I was raid leading, so I would repeat everything to help people remember. I’ll be doing a proper guide once the U35 dust settles. The rest of the videos are done in a different style for what that’s worth.
Haha well welcome! There is a discord link on channel page, you are welcome to come join and ask the questions you would like! I’m also happy to answer what I can here, it might just take a bit longer.
My understanding is yes, but in practice I haven’t really found it to matter/be noticeable. Would have to look at the buffs/debuffs it give and/or look at logs to be sure what if anything it does.
Thanks a lot for your time you put into this. Awesome, detailed and very helpful guide. Can't wait for the Reef Guardian guide.

How do you “grab” these bubbles? Do you just synergize on them? Are you able to drop the bubbles if you’re holding them by synergizing again?
Look at the orbs and hit E to grab them. Do the same thing to grab them.

Argonian healer should have checked weapons' charges before the fight! 🙂
Guilty Lol. I blame my addons for not doing it for me.
