hey guys, wanted to give an update on how the extensions held up + removal. they did start to dry out after about 3-4 weeks and matte up. I did want to note that blonde extensions tend to get dry a lot faster than darker colored hair extensions. and I do take good care of my extensions but there was no reusing these. and also removal was probably the worst experience I have had with extensions. the tape did not want to come out of my own hair. the company did ask how my experience was and I shared my thoughts. they did mention that in the past customers were saying the tape wasn't holding up well, so they made it stronger. too strong in my opinion. so I wouldn't personally recommend these unless they change the tape, which it did sound like they would do. my overall experience with the brand was great. they asked several times how the hair was doing and genuinely sounded like they wanted to help.
Something I’ve learned to do, cause my hair is fine like yours, is to add the side ones at a forward angle instead of fully straight. It forced the hair forward where you need it most and it’s helpful when putting your hair up too.
Looks good the extensions on you also found out from my hair dresser that she told me after all I don't have fine hair she said she thought so but said no I don't have fine thin hair .have a great day 😊💞
ofc. they’re not double drawn. I do wish they were a bit thicker on the ends but they do look very natural. they are starting to dry out a bit. but holding up well. not too bad, just need good maintenance
I have similar hair like yours, and I like doing my tape ins as well as you. Since you have tried lots of brands of tape ins, which one would you recommend as the BEST for our hair type. Thanks 😊
Tbh I usually buy my tape ins on amazon. The light blonde ones seem to require more hydration than darker hair (maybe it’s just me). But usually you can reuse them once (with proper maintenance). And the price point is unbeatable. The only downside is sometimes there can be inconsistencies even purchasing the same hair from the same brand. I can’t speak on these just yet bc I just installed them so I’ll have to see in a few weeks how they’re holding up (so far so good tho). I did remove one section and it was easy to remove so that’s good. And the brand was amazing to work with. So if any issues arise I assume their customer service will be great as well. If you want to pay a higher price, I rly liked quality of Lilyhair.com I’ve worked with them in the past and bought some myself. Had a great experience.
The extensions look amazing on you. I have fine thin hair but I get a lot of frizz, dryness, and no volume. Can you recommend some products related to that please? Have a great day.
For frizz, I like the blowout cream. I was using redken but switched to loreal blow dry cream. I recently did a video on affordable hair care products. For dryness, I use a little bit of oil on the ends when hair is wet. I will say, even using all of the correct products, it def matter how you style your hair. Meaning, if I were to apply said products and just blow dry my hair with just a blow dryer, it would look a bit frizzy. When when I use something like the shark round brush attachment or the revlon 2.0 round brush styler, you get much smoother results. It does take away from volume at the root though. So if you want volume at the root, you might need to use a root lift spray and blow dry the roots and then continue using the round brush to smooth it as you dry.
I hope that makes sense. I wanted to do a video on the difference but haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’m a visual learner so it’s easier for me to watch someone explain.
Did you find out this answer? My hair is so fine that clip ins are uncomfortable & heavy. It’s so thin & fine that when I buy a set of clip ins I can only use like 2 /3 clip wefts and 2 little side wefts. I’ve Never used tape ins and am curious how they feel and can you still brush your hair 😂😅
you can feel them when you're sleeping. I have gotten used to it but any extension method, you'll be able to feel when laying down (weft, keratin tip...) pros and cons
I also have fine thin hair. My biggest concern is my hairline is receding like men’s hair does, above the temples on both sides. I wonder if they can be positioned to help cover that?
unfortunately, I don't think tape ins would do much to cover that area, since usually you don't want to place tape ins close than 2-3 finger widths from the hairline. and the hairline is usually already more fragile. :/ so this might not be the solution.
I hear you. I would probably would forego extensions if you’re worried about your hair health with them in. My hair is also naturally fine and thin. There’s nothing I can do to give it the thickness that extensions do. So I do extensions from time to time. I’d much rather you be comfortable with the decision than have to worry. Sometimes a trustworthy hair stylist could analyze your hair and truthfully let you know if your hair could handle it.
@@aliciamatthews2568 I don't have a lot of hair but I have a blunt haircut so I used 1.5 packs to help it blend. Once you wash them several times, they get less soft and almost thicker. So after a few washed, I ended up taking out a few

How did you cut it? Looks amazing!!! I just ordered 4 packs, but might only use 3.
How did I cut the extensions ?
Very lovely. Can you tell us if they're thick at the ends and how have they faired so far?

How does it feels like with the tapes when you are sleeping? My hair type is like yours..can you get used to with tapees o the head?

Hey Tash, could you recommend a tape in extension remover?
I use one from the hair shop on Amazon: amzn.to/3NatwRn
I’ve also used isopropyl alcohol in the past and works just as well but may be more drying
Can I just use these for highlights? Getting highlights not cheap anymore.
Apply some tape ins to add dimension? Yeah you def. could
I have natural thin hair, i’m very scared that extensions will worsen or ruin my hair

My hair was so healthy then I used tape ins and a lot fell out and it was sparse… I’d go for the clips honestly :(
Is it difficult to was and style it ?
How many packs do you us3 x?
Use
