You’re doing so good hun. I WAS nervous eating for the first time. I just really took it slow and made sure to chew extremely well and savour each bite. It was a different sensation in the beginning, but it does get better! I do like to test my limits with certain things just to see how I react to it. Mind you most things I find just taste so different to me now that I no longer even want it anymore lol. I have had a donut hole (timbits from Tim Hortons here in Canada), and I was fine! Again I won’t eat an entire box of them like I used to... one is now enough. So testing that even though it has REAL sugar in it, didn’t make me sick. But when I tried a McDonald’s McFlurry... I dumped super hard on that one lol. No desire to EVER have it again now haha. So everything is pretty much trial and error. I am not completely depriving myself of EVERYTHING. But again I am almost 6 months post op now so it’s different for me at this stage then it would be for you. I was on fluids for an entire month after MY surgery lol. Anyways sorry I’m so behind on videos right now.... I’m not home atm (left 8 days ago), so my internet time is extremely limited. Trying to catch up with as much as I can, but I definitely haven’t forgotten about you all! I miss everyone 😩 But I’m happy to see everyone else is doing fine... including you!!! Till next time ❤️ take care dear 🙏🏼

I’m so excited to get to purees. Some days I’d rather just not even drink my meals at all because I’m so bored.
What about a cut of tea as your Netflix snack. Like some nice chamomile tea or something?
I think the lapband may have us all confused about what “restriction” is suppose to feel like. We have this preconceived notion, but this is a whole brand new thing. I swear, the lapband effed my head up. I honestly had worse problems with food after lapband than I did before.
I think maybe once you start adding real food back in, you might feel better once you get some variety in your system :-)

It will get better and easier. Wow! 3 weeks and soft foods. Your program goes much faster than mine did. Part of the problem is that your stomach is still healing and that causes a sensation of being hungry. As your stomach heals more, you will feel less hunger. I'm 10 months out and although now, I do get hungry but not horribly so. Food addiction is real. Right now, your concentration should be on forming new eatting habits. You will find ways to get your sweet stuff but you will be much better off if it is sugar-free. Look for keto recipes for sweet stuff. Also, I can tell you, dumping is real and it is not any fun at all. Eat that snickers and I promise, you'll probably dump and that will cure you of snickers.

Yaaaas! Those Fiber Choice tablets are so yummy. I was dying when you said your Multi tastes like Dog Poop. VSG Joe just mentioned to me the other day he thought his taste like "Vomit Flavor"....HAHA! Holy Crap! I can't believe all the crazy baked goodness your teacher coworkers are bringing in. And, the full size Snickers candy bars. That's just so wrong. I'm glad you felt your restriction kick in with your egg and mayo. I just kind of cut myself off and there are meals where I feel full and others I"m just like "ok, this is all I'm eating and I'm good"... I know I'm going to fill up on sweet crystal light lemonade water and a snack again in a couple hours. Can you remind me which BBQ sauce you got? I think you found a sugar free one? I need to get. I hadn't heard the advice that after 20 minutes it's considered grazing. That's no good for me. If I multi task and get busy, sometimes my meals or snacks take definitely more than 20 minutes. Othertimes I can finish in 5 minutes. OOOPS! hehe. I still haven't had anything real tough or hard yet for food. I think I still am a little scared. Most of my foods are fairly soft and I just chew, chew, chew. I know eventually I need to venture out more, but I'm satisfied and successful for now so kind of like the comfort of sticking to what I know works. You're doing awesome and look really good. Kate Moss was the one that said "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels". IMHO, I don't think Kate Moss ever ate a snickers or Reeses in her life. LOL!

i laughed so HARD haha! The BBQ sauce was ken davis www.kendavis-bbq.com, I got it at target for like $1.20. I agree though on all your points! It's the chew chew chew and the trying to figure out when exactly am I full, lol. Even though full isn't a thing like it's been my whole life! We're all getting there!
