So glad you were able to get started on Ozempic! I felt the same way. I always had hunger after VSG too. The medication finally made me feel like the surgery was supposed to.....very full quickly, much less hunger. I have been eating so much less that I had to start iron supplements and make sure I take my vitamins. I can't wait to see how you do on it! I keep telling my doctor that Ozempic is magical. Probably not the review she was looking for.

Hey Mitchell! So good to see you back and Im so happy for you for getting your "poop in a group". lol But really, Im so glad you are feeling better and are having success at regulating your meds. Sometimes, it seems getting the meds right, is the hardest part! Loved the update and am very curious whether the Wegovy/Ozempic is going to work well for you. You are right that it just doesnt make sense that insurance doesnt usually cover those meds, (I have Federal insurance, and it doesnt cover it) taking them is so much less invasive that WLS. Im in the process of checking the boxes for bypass and anticipate surgery in March of 2023 at Methodist Hospital. If I had Wegovy available to me, I wouldnt be setting up surgery, as I would certainly and without a doubt give those meds a try before ever even considering surgery. But here we are. Are you in Minneapolis? QQ in MN

I’ve been on Ozempic for 1 month and only
Lost about 2 pounds but now that I’m up to .5mg doses I really notice the fullness and less obsession about food (especially sweets).
