I just want you to know that I’ve always irrationally feared snakes but I can’t stop watching. I’ve always just left them alone. Watching your videos I feel more comfortable around them and I actually picked up a Dekay’s Brown Snake this weekend to move him out of the yard before I mowed. So thank you for showing rational, professional handling of snakes.
Really enjoyed your video. It was so sharp and clear and the colors were so true, I felt like I was tramping around in the fresh country air looking for beautiful hidden creatures with you. The wind noise didn't interfere with hearing what you said and added to the sense of being outdoors. Thank you.
If you south on I-45 to Corsicana, then southeast on 84 to Palestine the southwest on 79 through Tucker and on to Buffalo....that triangle if loaded with western pigs. Also a lot of Amaura
I finally got my garter snakes upgraded into a larger aquarium and fixed it up nice. I gotta clean them out tomorrow though. I gotta clean them pretty often. They have a high metabolism and eat a lot and consequently use the bathroom a lot too. Mine love their nightcrawlers and fuzzy mice. I used to have a female albino checkered garter snake. She lived to almost 14 before dying of old age. I bought her as a tiny baby at petco. Garters are totally underrated as pets. They are extremely easy to properly care for.
greetings from Rhode Island, you videos are fun to watch, you show your audience the wrong misconceptions of all snakes being extremely poisonous, keep the good work!!
If there is a problem with herpers in a specific area it may likely be amateurs that are flipping rocks and dont know to remove any animals before placing the rock back down.. if you have friends in the area they could leave a few signs up as it may be totally innocent.. just a lack of knowledge On the other hand i refuse to believe that anyone is deliberately crushing them :(
All i got is Gartner snakes near me i think, but your videos make me want to go see what other snakes are around my area! learning to not fear a little bite as well haha. :D Cheers From Ottawa Canada!
The prettiest snake I ever seen was a BIG dark red and pink Coachwhip that shot out from a bush when I was hunting. Pretty impressive speed for such a big boy.
@Vada Minot i love snakes..It doesn't mean i always catch or pet them when i saw one, i don't like killing them or others doing it.. And yes, I'm an adult
@Vada Minot Maybe experience, gut feeling, if he is right then the conservation of reptiles stands little chance if the very people who supposedly love reptiles are the ones who are destroying them.
@Vada Minot I do not know any herpers either that would do such harm. I think some herp sites are over used which in itself can be very destructive to reptiles. IIe to many people flipping over the same sheets can cause a lot of harm.
If u wanna find a great place to herp with thousands of rocks to flip go to white rock mountain in arkansas a great timber rattlesnake habitate and king snake habitat a wonderful place to herp they have cabins to rent for 60 bucks a night a beautiful place
Hey man, I live in western NY and I have a hard time finding these guys. Do you have any suggested spots to look for them? great content btw keep it up.👍
...lol... my friend's mother she was scared of snakes but she had a green snake that lived in her yard it would actually come lower on to the tree to see what she was up to she loved that snake
Here in oklahoma we have a lot last year for almost a week straight the same road I drove to go to work I would almost see over a hundred of them a day.
And that one was a female. Short, brown legs, with stocky brown abdomen = female. Long, black legs, with more black and less stocky abdomen = male. Very common in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, in addition to the US Southwest.
WillieZ H - No worries. Just letting people know a little about US tarantulas. I have lots of experience with them and other wildlife. (wildlife zoologist)
