Nice!, no turbo fires on todays videos! The NS engineer even rang the bell for the crossing, first time ive heard that on a road freight! And that CN unit?! WHOO-HOO!
Between Dunkirk NYC,and NKP,there isn't any busier stretch of trackage, any where! But back in the days of steam, the NYC,was a 4 track, and old Lake Shore wasn't a slow road at all! If you went West to Toledo, there was a 60+ mile set of tracks with a 120 MPH,speed limit, that enabled late running trains to make time up! Those J Class Hudsons, and S Class Niagras, were no slow pokes! And it's only taken 60 years for the diesels to have a single unit equal the horsepower of one Niagara! Alco built well, and the pity that no Hudsons or Niagaras were saved! Greed, and stupidity go hand in hand, thankfully the mainline is still in use,and busier than ever, karma will strike, then you'll hear the howling, soon!! Thank you for your time and effort! 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚆🚆🚆🚆🚆🚇🚇🚇🚇🚇🚉🚉🚉🚉🚉
This is true, wish they would have saves a Hudson! There is a 2 mile stretch of the old 4 track NYC main thats still here, it can be seen in many of my videos such as this one ua-cam.com/video/D2g2PnWch1c/v-deo.html
The real irony, now,is that workers on the New York Subway, hid equipment from the management, and formed the base of the Transit Museum, and they succeeded! Maybe, the workers, should have found a very little used branch, and hid those engines in plain sight! A nice alternate history, but at least there is a Mohawk, saved,(and that, via Texas),so a saving grace!! Thanks guys,I didn't know about the Buffalo angle! Hidden history, again! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
Robert Huron. I didn't know about the subway! What a great story! I know the City Hall station was abandoned and left intact, and now allows occasional tours. The Buffalo yard story I have seen more than once. Workers tried to stash a couple big steamers deep in a yard, but got caught and forced to put them back in the scrap line. I believe I read it first in "The Story of American Railroads", author escapes me.
Howdy 👋 WWOT. Sorry I missed your video but I was getting adjusted. Am watching your video now and thank you for your entertainment. Have a great day my Friend. Johnny
Awesome sightings! Were those autoracks just put on the siding between CP-42 and CP-39? Also X162 the other night had CSX power. That Q367 had a good old school lashup.
I also caught that end of train DPU on CSX closer to Buffalo, however I was also expecting to catch that awesome CN loco on 68N but it never came, it must’ve went into the silver creek siding 😡
At 4:52 please look closely at the track, bottom left corner of the screens. Looks like a major fault. When the Locos hit it, they moved a lot. I'm no expert, but this looks dangerous.
Is it my old eyes, or is the focus a bit off on the CSX train on the elevated? I couldn't read any of the lettering except HAPAG LLOYD, and that was blurry. Still, it was trains, so who am I to complain?
Thanks for checking. I think I have problems when trains are fast moving and fairly close. Got the beginnings of cataracts, but pretty good vision with glasses. I think you have the vision of a hawk, WWOT, like my dad had.
I have a railroad, rail fan question that I need answered. The question is: A single locomotive is pulling 88 cars at 100 miles per hour. The trsin travels 96 miles at the 100 miles per hour speed. What is the name of the engineer? Your help is appreciated.

Широкий мир поездов а ты знаешь что я на тебя подписан и ты молодец
On that Q364, the rail near the crossing is flexing a lot. It seems that CSX needs to do some ballast work on that thing.
Вау, какая движуха, CSX с контейнерами проехал и через минуту появился NS с сборным составом, в нём был тепловоз CN C40-8W, лайк от души😊😊😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😁

Always wondered if the story of the workers trying to hide steam in a Buffalo yard is true. Wish they had done it and gotten away with it!

End train DPUs are more common on curvy tracks to counteract the rope effect.
Great video as usual! Trains, trains and more trains! 🚂
Glad you enjoyed the video
Great catch with the CN on NS 68N! Pray hard and the snow will be gone till the end of the year... Another great video as always....
Great catch my friend keep it up
Great video! Some those old Dash8 were Santa Fe and CNW and late BNSF.
Cool, thanks!
I could even hear how heavy the sand cars were. Wow
Yes anyone that has ever carried pales of sand or shoveled sand knows how heavy and dense it can be. Or stacking sandbags
thanks for putting the train numbers in a title box for the first two captures, I find that very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
A nice DPU Alright! Always cool when they are backwards :) Nice foreign power with the CN engine!
Great video! Love the DPU catches. 😎👍🏻

Awesome sightings! Were those autoracks just put on the siding between CP-42 and CP-39? Also X162 the other night had CSX power. That Q367 had a good old school lashup.
Yes they set those auto racks off about 3 weeks ago on the 42 runner, been there since.
I also caught that end of train DPU on CSX closer to Buffalo, however I was also expecting to catch that awesome CN loco on 68N but it never came, it must’ve went into the silver creek siding 😡

You mean when the train goes over that bridge?

I'm not sure it could have been blurry
I just watched it and it didn't look blurry to me, may have been slightly harder to read because of the lower light conditions of that day

I loved it when you called me bird railfan lol.
