    YES! This was a very helpful video. I have been looking at patterned paper packs recently. You do such wonderful cards using patterned paper. As I have been looking at the paper packs though, I have been at a loss as to what I'm looking for. I couldn't have found this video at a more perfect time. Your examples, and explanations, clearly helped me understand more of what to look for. ❤

    Thanks for doing the extra work of separating this out from your haul video. I struggle with using patterned paper so I found this very helpful! I am a quilter too and never equated choosing papers for cards with choosing fabrics (something else I struggle with, which is why I usually buy kits for the quilts I make.) 😊 I think I'll go through some of my paper pads to pair up some prints. I will also have a new way of looking at paper pads when shopping in the future. Thanks for all of your work in preparing these tutorials and sharing your tips and tricks. It is very much appreciated.

      I’m so glad I was able to explain it in a way that you could connect with, Mary! I bet your quilts are lovely! I once cut up squares for a quilt, but I never put it together. I was a teenager at the time. But it’s always appealed to me!😊

      @@christygetscrafty Quilts were just something I was drawn to. No history of quilters in my family. I took it up as a reward to myself after returning to school to get my Master's degree in my 40's. Now 20 some years later and retired, I have a little more time to sew, and oodles of kits I've purchased waiting for me. I buy quilt kits like I do papercrafting supplies. Oh - that's a cute card (quilt). I need all the things to make it. LOL!

    Really helpful information. Sometimes I find it difficult to match the paper within the same paper pad especially with Recollections or DCWV pads. I'm like why is this in here? lol Thanks for sharing!

    Great video as always. Thank you for taking the time to create and upload this video, as I will be using time after time, to create my cards. Just had a quick question, if I may? Was curious to know, where you obtained the clear cellophane packaging for the cards? Thank you in advance for your time and look forward to hearing back from you.

    • @christygetscrafty
      @christygetscrafty  2 роки тому

      I used to buy them on Etsy but the sellers I’ve used in the past both closed up shop, so I ordered them from Amazon last time. Just look for clear, reusable cello bags and you should find a variety of sizes.🙂

    Thankyou for this video! I always struggle with pattern paper. I have sooo much and my goal is to use my stash.
    I am curious to know, Do you pick your papers first and then color your images? I never thought to do it that way and usually have a very hard time finding paper to match.
    I would love to see a video with you showing the ways to do this.
    Thank you again for the inspiration!

    • @christygetscrafty

      Yes, I typically pick the images first, then dies, then patterned paper, then color palette! I will have a video coming out on my process soon!☺️

    The cards you show are so professionally done. This is the standard I want to get to with making cards. I’m no where near to your standard. Do you have any pointers.

      That’s very sweet! Just keep practicing! I’ve been cardmaking for twelve years now, making 3-4 cards a week that entire time. Use good quality products and professional tools when you can. Quality matters in helping your cards look professional. I have a couple new videos with my most recommended and favorite supplies and tools for cardmakers. Take a look and see if there’s anything that could help you improve your skills. Other than that, just keep crafting and keep it fun!😀

    I have a question, do you usually choose your pattern papers first and then the stamps you are using, or the other way around? You inspire me so much, your style of cards are right up my alley and I want to improove my card making and you help me a lot with it, thank you!
    Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭

      I usually choose my stamps first, then the patterned paper, and pull my color combos from there.😊
