If there's one thing I notice over and over again from Mike's play (well, sure he has a lot to improve, I mean we all do, we're not stockfish), is that he has tendency to misjudge which pieces to trade, which to keep.

Knight can be taken with pawn because rook still on F8! Consider. You have to take the rook move back first.
at that moment it's white's move? the last move black makes there is rook g8 which is needed to pin the pawn to make the fork viable

All Mike had to do was bishop to H4 blocking mate, then forcing a trade of either the queen or rook. Then he has time to get his rooks over to protect from mate, and hope the coordination of the queen and other pieces holds him off.
Vienna is the GOAT! (Even though he played it in the strangest way possible.)
What about forking the queen when black moves to kf3 after that trade?
Talking about 6:00? If you check with knight, it can be taken with pawn since rook is still on f8.
