I never realized how busy this song was, guitar-wise, until watching this. Right up-there with something like Bark at the Moon as far as throwing-in different fills.
This is almost a perfect guitar cover. He's hitting every note with the right time and feel. He follows thru to the end of every passage, staying in time, without clipping the end to get to the start of the next. In fact, because of the difference in guitar tones and that its not so processed for an album recording you can hear all the chords in their fullness. (Less obscured by the bass and drums) Related Tangent: It really highlights something I've always felt about vito bratta. That he's so similar in style and vision to Eddie Van Halen (RIP) yet he does it his own, original way. The way they fill the melodic background. Constant chording designed to fill the musical space. Both Eddie and Vito were single guitarists because their grand musical vision and execution leaves no room for another guitar. They played large parts because they were technically brilliant. In fact, I think Vito is more skilled and a cleaner player than Eddie (slightly but definably). More classically trained. Eddie was an original guitar thinker and a more prodigious creative force. His playing style a little wilder but still tight. If Vito's playing was like sure footed walking along the cliff of the Grand Canyon Eddie's was that same sure footed walking but every other step he dangled one foot over the edge and looked at you with a smile. But Vito was truly great and original in his own way. I love his playing. Love this solo and the solo in Wait. Next level and then some...
Thank you so much for that comment, Robert! I was overwhelmed by both the length and content. Haha. I agree with what you said about Vito. That’s why I, too, think he’s an under appreciated guitar player. To be honest though, and although I know Eddie being the “king” of tapping, I only knew about him because of Eruption and his solo for MJ’s Beat It. I’ve seen some of clips of him here on youtube and I could clearly see why he’s one of the best. It’s a shame I don’t know him that much. I may have to listen to his tracks more from now on. May he Rest in Peace. I appreciate your love for both guys. Cheers!
Wow! That's impressive my dude! Vito Bratta is not easy to cover and highly underrated. He is easily one of the most looked over guitarists of his Era! Rock on my friend!
Can’t say anything that hasn’t already been said. Awesome cover. Another one of those Vito rhythm lines that’s harder than the solo, and you nailed it.
Probably the most accurate cover of this song I've seen on UA-cam. This isn't a knock, just a suggestion: I believe the clean intro part is strictly finger-picked which may be why your tempo is a tiny bit off on that part. Otherwise its perfect.
Hey. Thanks! When I was learning the song, I actually thought I couldn’t do the clean part the way Vito did it on the record. I kind of improvised and decided to use hybrid picking because it was more comfortable for me that time. Again, thanks for the insight!
Excellent and amazing cover dude!! i love this song and White Lion. Vito Bratta its a master guitar player! It is definitely the best cover I have ever seen of this song. Keep it up!!!
glad to see some youngster appreciating songs like this sa panahon ngayon. i had a band in early 2000s. we cover 80s hair band rock. to think that time wala na sa uso mga ganon style na music. NU metal ang "in" sa rock scene that time. me and my bandmates dont give a flying shit. we just play and have fun on stage. some people may like it and some may not. it is about doing what we love at the end of the day
Hindi na rin ako youngster, Sir. Haha. Tama. Mas magandang gagawin mo yung ikaka-enjoy mo kesa makikiuso, hindi mo naman talaga gusto. Para sa’kin, mas interesting ‘tong mga kantang melodic tapos may guitar solo. Haha. Hindi ko natipuhan ang Nu metal.
Great Job! I was a serious, teenaged guitarist in the 80's and it was a freakin AMAZING time to be a Rock guitarist. Vito was one of my faves. He managed to combine Eddie's techniques with Yngwies melodic approach, arpeggios, & pedal points. He also did those quick, wide intervallic jumps that no one else did like him. Anyway, Great work bro. Rock On!
@@BenjamesGo Yeah, you're right. I think the more time a guitarist spends practicing, the more natural a guitar looks in their hands. My family & friends used to say I looked weird WITHOUT a guitar in my hands because I was always playing & practicing. I lived to play. But again, back in the 80's it was easy to always be inspired. Mtv and FM radio were FULL of Rock, Hard Rock, & Metal guitar. As soon as I find a time machine, I'm going back.
Btw, I don't have much on UA-cam yet but if you'd like to hear me play a bit, look up "Boogie Freeze Eruption". My daughter recorded me out the blue one day so it's nothing great but it does show I can play. Hope you like it.
Hey, T! I thought I have responded to all your comments already. Yeah, I just watched your Eruption video and it's fun to watch! I even think you got a better technique than I do. Ha! Keep it up!
@@BenjamesGo Thanks Ben. And btw, I was 43 when I recorded that. By the time you're that age, you'll be a MONSTER player. You're already really freakin good. PS. When you do reach that age, I DO NOT wanna cut heads with you. (I'll just tell everyone my arthritis is acting up) 😋 Peace Brother!
I never realized how busy this song was, guitar-wise, until watching this. Right up-there with something like Bark at the Moon as far as throwing-in different fills.
You’re right. This and Wait. 🙂
Best cover i've seen.
Thanks!

Little Fighter is the peak of Vito Bratta creativity. He's Melodious Gods. Nice cover
Thanks, Bukek! If only the man himself could read comments like this. 😄
Bad ass cover! Great job! Vito bratta was such an underrated guitarist for this time ! Awesome cover!
Thank you. Need more practice though.
I agree. He’s one of the best. 😁
I don’t feel like Vito is underrated at all. He is widely accepted as one of the best guitarists of the 80’s.
White Lion
All Join Our Hands
You're one of only a few players I've seen who nail the solo. 😎
Thanks!
I am speechless, perfect execution. Vito would be proud of you.
Thanks a lot, MrGasset!
@@BenjamesGo i like how you played the whole song and not just the solo
