In 1980, a group of ice hockey players in Minnesota were looking for a way to practice during the summer. Scott and Brennan Olson formed the company Rollerblade, Inc., to sell skates with four polyurethane wheels arranged in a straight line on the bottom of a padded boot. In 1988, Rollerblade introduced the first aggressive inline skate, the Rollerblade Lightning TRS. Aggressive inline skating developed as an organized sport in the early 1990s. In 1994 the National Inline Skate Series, better known as NISS was launched as the first aggressive skating competition series. Promoters Rick Stark and Mark Billik sold Taco Bell on sponsoring the series for $150,000 and a six stop series was born. NISS, went strong for 5 years holding contests in Los Angeles, New York, Rome and Brazil. NISS was the first series to put aggressive inline on television with an ESPN deal for the 1994 series and later moving the competition series to PRIME TICKET-Fox Sports. The Aggressive Skaters Association (ASA) was formed by a number of aggressive inline skaters in 1995 as a forum to develop rules governing competitions and equipment. The sport was included in the first ESPN X-Games in 1995 and included vertical ramp and street event competitions. It reached its height in popularity in the late 90s, with mainstream movies like Disney's Brink! and other films. The brand "Senate", run by Arlo Eisenberg and several other prominent skaters, enjoyed mainstream popularity during the 1990s.
Founded by company owners/skating legends Brian Shima, Jon Julio, and Kato Mateu and supported by all major skate companies, the World Rolling Series (WRS) links together the best skaters, event organizers, retailers and skate parks and aims to "create a tighter knit community, increase overall awareness and set a higher standard for aggressive rollerblading." The WRS circuit started in 2009 with 10 established professional contests in France, Netherlands, England, Spain, Argentina, Australia and the United States. In 2012, WRS included 100+ amateurs and professional events in over 20 countries.

I was at jon Julio’s house back in the day when those frames first came out (same frames but said Valo on them) and myself along with a bunch of other Valo guys that were there that week we’re extremely impressed with them and most of us rode them when we were filming for Valo 2?? One of the Valo videos. But that’s def the best value frame out there by far if you ride anti. Prob not for flat

I'm so happy you answered the "pantz" comment with those shorts...fvcking gold man lmao. in all honesty, I thought the pants thing would have died with Be-Mag message board (rip) but guess not. Yeah I had those frames before, but the valo ones...pretty decent frames, nothing much to write home about but they are decent. I actually liked the sidewalls for top sides on ledges, reminded me of GC dual injections...which are still my favorite anti rocker frame and wish they'd bring those back but updated...only thing I didn't like about the dual injections were they weren't symmetrical, I'd like to see those back but with uhmw plates on both sides, but I know a lot of people didn't like dual injections. Anyways, they are solid frames...and for 5-10 bucks that's a steal. Could keep a pair of those on reserve just in case mains go down or whatever.

10 years ago that was one of the only frames that fit 60mm flat so a lot of people were riding those badboiz 👌🏻 glad you liked them 🤩

You have the skating ability to back up absolutely any fashion you want!! I hope you continue to explore, bc those cutoffs are hilarious and they look great. Thrift stores and ebay are a great way to experiment with new clothes for low risk :)

I was skating these initially on the fifth elements until I swapped them out for the Fluid V's as I love skating flat. For anti rocker though cannot go wrong, and for $5 I mean it's a no brainer.
The shorts! I've been anti-baggy since I escaped my teens, and pretty much live in my shorts now. Definitely gonna pick these frames up from the local.

Im soo shocked at this review!! You killed it in those frames though. When i was skating them i felt like i always had to use a lot ofwax for soul tricks, but H block was super fast. Well done sir 👍

I've only heard good things about these frames. A lot of people love riding them flat. I've got a pair in my closet but I'm too attached to the Fluid V....no reason to switch it up.

honestly i like the roces stock frames a lot for anti. only issue i had with mine was the material wearing away relatively quick. i agree with your points though, great bang for buck

I have 2 pairs of white in the large size
I got the white ones for $5 when I got FLT4, and they changed it after I bought them back like 2 months ago.
So keep your eyes peeled and periodically check oak city because they throw some stuff on absolutely ridiculous sales. I dyed my white frames teal. Cause why not? Hard to ruin $5.
Would love to see a similar video about the now $19 Blank frames and how they compare to those other flat frames you skated recently. I guess they're fit for anti as well?

id like to see a flat review of these with your take away. they where my flat frame of choice for around 3 years but that was forever ago when they where branded as valo. Haven't skated in around 6/8 years and debating some of the new frame options with the old ones that worked for me when my body was a lil more able.
