MAP01 Hell's Jail - 00:00 MAP02 The Rift - 02:35 MAP03 Daedalus - 13:00 MAP04 Demon's Bastille - 31:45 MAP05 Cemetery - 42:15 MAP12 Helltagon - 52:10 MAP06 Cloaca - 59:10 MAP07 Scoria Disposal - 01:10:10 MAP08 Lambda Research - 01:21:00 I've made a simple mistake with load order of the WAD and Project Brutality - while normally we load WAD and then Project Brutality, because of custom monsters added we might have some sprite mishaps, because PB overwrites WAD in this case. Anyway, Declaring New Apocalypse by Kan3 is a pretty long WAD with a lot of custom monsters added like spooky Skeletons, Blood Skulls, new variant of Imp, Scientists, Octatrons, Gatekeeper Demon and few more including the bosses. The level design is astonishing here, all of the maps are incredibly detailed and are fun to play, especially the Hell levels are outstanding together with Cemetery, first five maps are something truly remarkable in terms of aesthetics. In few places I had to use the Noclip cheat because scripts of the WAD might not be working correctly with gameplay mods like Project Brutality, in case it was not possible for me to progress through I had to use noclip. Another thing is with the secrets - some of them are triggered only when you pick up an item that is inside a WAD but does not appear in Project Brutality, in such case it is a vanilla Backpack, Rocket Launcher or Super Shotgun. In terms of difficulty this WAD can really kick your ass with Project Brutality, there are plenty of ambushes that you must be aware of, especially the final fight in Cloaca can be troublesome for a player to overcome, trust me. First level is an entry level that might show you that the WAD itself is not really easy for a player, when you leave the cage do not engage in a fight with a Gatekeeper, you will simply run out of ammo and his attacks are dangerous. Basically since the beginning you are thrown against the most dangerous demons in the game, this WAD loves to throw at you multiple monsters in small rooms, including hiding them in fake walls just to attack you by a surprise. WAD ends with a small cliffhanger because no way it would end like this, if you want to survive in this WAD picking the secrets is really mandatory in my opinion, because they have lots of needed health and armor for you. That was extremely smooth and entertaining to watch. This game makes Vanilla Doom look like kindergarten. The OG Cyberdemon wouldn’t survive past the first room.
I only tried to run it with project brutality (and similar) once via ZDL and got no errors (tons of broken scripts though), but I never tried it with the latest version of D.N.A. actually.
