It's clear he's our starting goalie. Woll often looked calm and no rebound after the save. While Samsonov too often looked shaky and scrambling like clueless. 😂

2:00 - absolutely sic play by Marner - especially when you consider how fast the play was and he still had the sense to scan his surroundings and take out the D and goalie then make the drop pass. Also props to Knies for following the play and being in position for that pass.

Morgan Reily is an absolute disaster. Minus 7 after two games. Both goals today were the DIRECT result of his idiocy. He covers the guy in front of the net until the puck arrives and then he just lets him tap it in. Pee Wee level mentality, especially on his rushes where he just gives the puck away every time. 4th line level D man

Happy the Leafs won. But hate all empty-net goals fired from inside any team's own end. Gutless way to skew the final score. Personally, I'd prefer it if empty-netters were only allowed inside the offensive zone - but gaining the red line seems a fair compromise. It'd be a win for the League, and for all up-and-comers, when you keep the game competitive. Grit & perseverance vs. entitlement.
