  • Hello all! Today I will be showing you how to create a battle jacket from start to finish, including techniques on how to organize your patches, sew them on, and add studs.
This video shows the creation of a battle jacket from the very begging all the way through to the end, and took at total of about 3 1/2 months to complete.
    I hope you enjoy!
To skip directly to the instructions, here are the time points:
How to sew the patches on: 33:44
    How to apply studs: 53:27
Special thank you to Scarlett Monastyrski of Sabire for allowing me to use their music in this video!
    Song Credits:
Sabire: "Rise To The Top" from the album Gates Ajar (2018)
Sabire: "One For The Road" from the album Gates Ajar (2018)
Go check out the band and support their music here:

(I do not own nor created any of the music in this video, and permission was given by Scarlett Monastyrski of Sabire to us these songs.)
Where to buy studs, spikes and other supplies:

While there are many places you can purchase official patches, I highly recommend this website for traditional metal. Most of the patches on this jacket came from them:

You forgot the hardest step, finding a patch you want and waiting for it to arrive haha

    Hell yeah Brotha!!
I havent owned a Battle vest in almost 30 years. I lost it at a big party at the Innerstate Inn in Springfield Missouri. Too much Wild Turkey will make you lose some some of youre shit.

i found its easier for me to go up through just the fabric and back down through the patch. so I wouldn't be poking the patch 3-4 times before you get it where you want it

When you cut the string after finishing stitching - take 1 of the 2 loose ends as seen at 42:30, put it through the needle (dont tie it just make sure it wont slip off) and run it under one of the loops on the backside. That way when you tie it, you have that loop as an anchor so the knot can not run throught the hole.
Hope it makes sense and great video!
