Pull the plug patches is my addiction lately. And Ive even let Simon (or whoever is running the ig) know that Ive found tons of rad bands because of the sick patches he makes.
Glad we got to see some more episodes from the shows that didn't win the poll. First patch for me was a big DK back patch on an old military jacket when I was about 15.
Yessss! I was worried there’d never be another episode. Thanks to this series I’ve gotten super into battle jackets, and have 2 ongoing ones currently. Thank you for putting these videos out!
Thank you so much for providing a stage for this topic. I grew up in the 80s and having a battle vest was always a part of being a metal head. These days (at least in Germany), battle vests become a rare thing. Very well done, looking forward to other episodes.
Great video, also great people featured in it. I've been following and ordering from pull the plug quite a while now and it's awesome to see which bands they are able to work with now
Thank you, Sarah, great video! And I remember my first vest.... so looong ago, featuring the Cover of the 1st Helloween-Album "Walls of Jericho"..., brings back great memories
Awesomeeee! I made the pandemic-induced decision to start working on 6 or 7 jackets, so I’ve got my work cut out for me. Looking forward to the next ep!
I’ve got 4 vests (1 is a reversible with patches covering the inside), 1 hand drawn leather biker jacket and working on a new vest right now with a Cancer: Death Shall Rise back patch with giant logos of Repugnant, Vomitory & Speedwolf
I love it, currently have 3 vests all still a wip, one has a Death BP, the second has a slayer hell awaits BP and the 3rd one has a BP made from an Iron Maiden shirt.
Loving this!! I don’t have a battle vest but I’m very into pins and I live to cover my jacket with them! Thing is, pins are not as popular. Hopefully at some point they will be
Haven't had patched denim since I was around 16... I turn 50 at the end of the year, I think it'll be time to return home to showing my colours (don't laugh too hard at this old dog!)
This episode I find even more interesting than the last one. You pulled on board some really interesting experts on the subject, of whose work I'd love to hear more! And of course Sarah's moderation and expertise on the subject matter is more than competent, as always
{heads directly to Pull the Plug Patches to place an order} I'm working on a Battle Bag right now for work. Thanks, Sarah and BangerTV! Great episode! \m/@@\m/
Cool episode! The only patches I have are two identical As I Lay Dying ones I got with the special edition of awakened waaay back in 2012 at sunrise records. I still haven’t gotten anybody to sew it on to my denim jacket. Hopefully one day, I’ll do that. I should’ve gotten band patches when I saw shows pre-Covid, so… Hopefully I’ll be able to do it post Covid!
Started my vest just before the start of quarantine and I was excited to wear to the first show (at a Devin Townsend concert) but everything was obviously cancelled. Looks like the debut will now be Deftones/Gojira. Hell yeah
what is the rule on double denim? i love my jackets..(one for summer shows and another new one for winter!!) but i feel ..maybe double denim is a bit strange to look at...maybe its me
Interesting. Never been much of a jacket-wearer or patch-afficionado... I do have a tonne of t-shirts though. Advantage of the jacket is you get to wear a tonne of bands all at once. Best I can do is a longsleeve with a t over that and maybe a hoodie or a cap - pretty much topping out at four.
My jacket is black denim... well, it's more of a vest. The first patch I ever got was a small Trouble patch, but the first I actually sewed on was a 'Sabbath patch, above the left breast pocket. Since ''rules'' we're brought up - I feel like a jacket isn't complete without a 'Sabbath patch. At least, if it were my own jacket. \m/
Awesome!! On mine i have : darkthrone , mayhem, metallica, gwar!, slayer, - im thinking of adding shining and revenge(can) not on the vest : i also have type o negative, obituary.
Pull the plug patches he make some for my band but when we were call ORGANIC INFEST now we get rid of the Infest and left only ORGANIC as the name, congratulations excelent episode salutes from PUERTO RICO
Not a patch on the episode, but great nonetheless. Ohh - I hear the groans too. Actually, both episodes equally on a par with each other. Therefore, I'm looking forward to more of the same.
Whelp. guess I need to start working on my jacket again, add a few more patches and touch up some others. my fingers are going to be sensitive for the next few days.
They're not saying that Metal and punk are just fashion now, if you watched the video. it's a nice way to promote the bands, helping you discover new artists and being able to feel apart of the community. so it's no it's not all focused on fashion.

Yeah, All the ideas are great, I understand the budget and time factor is there, but I am glad they did this one.

Awesome that you talked with Pull The Plug Patches! They're killing it!
We're big fans of Simon's work.
Started my vest, used an old long Opeth shirt for the back patch!
Old tees are the way to go. Every backpatch I've had has been cut from one!
I love this series, hope to see more ( and longer if possible !!!) episodes in the future !
As someone who loves battle jackets, I truly love this series! It's so interesting!

The metal gods have smiled on us this day. I've been waiting 6 months for a new fabrics of metal video!!😎🤘

Awesome. I really hope we get more of these
Hell yeah. Great to see Simon on here more!! Pull The Plug are a great company! 🔥

Impressive
Happy to see that Pink Abigail patch I helped design being featured!
Started my vest in '86 - Ride the Lightning backpatch. See y'all in *Wacken!* (Only half of it's size this year, but it's gonna happen afaik.)
ALL of a sudden, what a good surprise
I love your pp

I think my battle jacket is probably my most prized possession

Us Canadians consider it formal wear

Great fucking episode!! My main back patch is Mercyful Fate Nuns Have No Fun! \m/
Nice.
I have a Don't Break The Oath Backpatch! 🤘

Why does the sound clip in and out
Zoom allowed us to keep doing interviews during the pandemic, but there are many limitations like sometimes choppy video and sound.
Not a patch on the episode, but great nonetheless. Ohh - I hear the groans too.

LONG LIVE PULL THE PLUG PATCHES!!!!!!

My first back patch was Master of Puppets.
Thats a great start!
PULL THE PLUG
Patch is something after having you say instantly fuck you to the world
The new Helloween ?
Too bad ya didn't mention Peter Beste's book! 😉
It was featured in episode 1, Sarah also reviewed it on a special episode of OVERKILL.
I want an episode about long hair on dudes. Why?
I have been into metal and punk for most of my life, I'm 54. It's the music that matters, not the fashion...
They're not saying that Metal and punk are just fashion now, if you watched the video. it's a nice way to promote the bands, helping you discover new artists and being able to feel apart of the community. so it's no it's not all focused on fashion.
You missed the point, did you watch the video?
