How can i reset the time and date stamp?? I did it incorrectly and now the date and time of recording is way off which makes it very confusing. It says the recoding occurred on a different day. Thank you.

I have very noisey neighbors that live above me, I'm in the process of reporting them, but I need proof to present to the Co-op Board of my apartment building. Would this be able to record loud stomping, and thuds through the ceiling?

Noise through walls can be difficult for any voice recorder to capture. You would need an OTG cable for an iPhone and VLC media player on your phone. Yes MacBook's are fine, you just cant set the date and time with the software that's included on the device because its Windows only, but you can still set the time for the recorder by using a text file on your Mac.
I have two of these devices and they work great. However I really need one that can accept an aux or external mic input. Is it possible to modify or rewire it to substitute this for the internal mic?

@ fredy melendez - Unfortunately, iPhones would require you to first put the audio onto a computer with iTunes, and then you would sync your phone with iTunes to get the recording onto the iPhone.
How can the MQ L500 be formatted so that when the files are transfered to a pc file, they retain their original recorded date rather than the date they were downloaded to your pc? Once the files are played, the original recorded date seems to disappear? Also, is there a way to find the original dates the files are actually recorded on?
From what you have explained, it sounds like the time and date were not set up or did not take hold when initially set up because if they were, it would bring over the original date and time of when the recording was made, and it should hold said time and date even after it has been played. There is software on them that allows you to set the time and date, but it only works for Windows computers. Mac users have to do it differently by setting up a plain text file with the date and time crafted in a particular fashion.

Yes, standby mode is a low power state that’ll extend the battery life when it does not hear a sound. 60db is about the sound level needed to trigger a recording, but the program for date and time stamping of the files allows you to adjust this up or down a couple points using a Windows computer.
