Dude that first berm got so gnarly and i was literally screaming when he was six seconds up , absolute legend , 18 years old .. he just set a new bench mark ! Insane!
Reminded me of the earliest Rampage days when there was a lot less earth-sculpting, when Gee Atherton and Cedric Gracia and I think also Steve Peat, rode down like they were on a DH track. Many groaned that it wasn't showy enough. What they did was similar to what Goldstone just did.
That was riding on another level. I watch a lot of racing. You can tell this kid is flat out magic. Nobody came close. When he continues to the bigger stages and continues this level of riding, everyone will be competing for second.
20 years of watching mtb vids and this run tops anything I've ever seen!the speed is just insane and the POV really shows you how knarly this course is!Big up ya'chest!badman!
Goldstone did it?!? WOW!!! Seeing this I understand why. He was so courages through some of this parts and I could tell where I would have layed down on at least 7-8 Moments where he just went straight trough! Amazing! Respect!!!
You can only do it when you are young. With age it comes calculated risk and it's just not worth it to you any more! So yeah, if someone, young ones can break them records!
Jackson is a legend in the making. I'm so happy for him, he absolutely deserves this! Also thanks Red Bull for making such sick events, my heart just fills with joy when i see all the racers, love you all ❤
I don’t know if it could possibly have been done much better than that. Wow wow wow, that is one fearless kid. One of the most physically impressive things I’ve ever seen done on a mountain bike.
So glad the dude choose to come to Hardline this year and show the speed, skill and balls this young man has. Absolute talent in his natural environment at his best. Thanks for the show Jackson 👌😎
Jackson probably the worlds best at carrying speed through such corners. The way he leans into them almost without braking and manages to stay so smooth and not lose grip is unlike anyone else i've seen
There's a video of him and Finn in Squamish, and he just disappears outta those berms. He's great at everything else, there's literally no flaws, but his cornering is god tier.
After years of gopro footage that makes stuff look easier than it is and becoming a little jaded on it, this is shockingly refreshing. There were a few moments in this where I was genuinely puckering because of how fast he was going through rough stuff! This is a great perspective on an incredible run. Really nice.
I love how these pro riders make insane lines look routine. They are so smooth. Much respect, it’s a beautiful thing to watch, again thanks for being so good.
Watched this. Looking at the future of downhill mountain biking right here. Only 18 and first time at redbull and won by 7 seconds and made it look easy whilst doing it. The new breed if downhiller has arrived!
Jackson's POV trail previews towards the end of the World Cup season really caught my attention. Casual conversation at mach speed flat out down the trail. I'm not surprised with this win at all. You could tell as soon as he was into the treeline that it was over. What a ripper!!! Super proud from Nelson BC!
Huge respect for even attending, considering how much is at stake riding this track. Out of words for winning, especially with such advantage. Huge congrats. Next year i imagine he's gonna destroy his competition.. Otherworldy 🔥🔥💪
I just got back from my first mountain bike ride after like 2 years immobility culminating in spinal surgery from the Army. I can't wait to get back into shape and get going on crazy lines again.
I'm nearing 60, been dhing since, the 90s. While progression is continuous, this was like watching a superhero on a bike. The last wooded section he touches earth 3 times in maybe 7 seconds over 100 ft horizon and maybe 60 vert. That was precise.
This fantastic guy today gave a lesson to all the big riders at the most extreme competition of this sport, he not only proved to have the skills, a right insanity and a great control, but also a cold blood, because he do not made a single mistake even under that pressure given by all the eyes on him today. The same cold blood has left at least two great riders today, and this makes the difference between a talented rookie and a young champion. Well done Jackson!
He’s so fast and so brave jumping those gap jump. I am new to mountain biking and still learning, I hope I can have that kind of braveness and skills. Some telling me that I’m too late (I’m 40y/o) but for me it’s better to be late than never 🤙🏼
What a epic cutla mins.. brilliant to watch, brilliant to see the crowd , brilliant to see Gman back on the horse. Unlucky to see the few come unstuck but happy to see nothing to serious ending up in the medics tent. Special mention to Bernard you bloody legend and to Jess we hope your wing heals up nicely. Thanks to our man on the ground with the belly, cheers Jono Jones. Three cheers for y’all for your efforts over the last couple of days for the entertainment. Appreciations from the mob in Australia xx Id like to see heart monitors on the athletes? Just for a matter of interest
Perfection. I can't believe how fast he was in some corners and how easy me made the hugest jumps look!!
he was unbelievable
Skill plus luck.
@@MOAB-UT 99% skill.

@@0xsergy And he is 100% pushing the limits. It's incredible, but also risky. Can't wait to see him on future events.
Dude that first berm got so gnarly and i was literally screaming when he was six seconds up , absolute legend , 18 years old .. he just set a new bench mark ! Insane!
18 years old and already a legend
It’s crazy right? They packed it in after Charlie Hatton washed out on it
Reminded me of the earliest Rampage days when there was a lot less earth-sculpting, when Gee Atherton and Cedric Gracia and I think also Steve Peat, rode down like they were on a DH track. Many groaned that it wasn't showy enough. What they did was similar to what Goldstone just did.
“Jump for show, turn for dough” He was RIPPING those berms! It looked like the camera was sped up in a couple of those turns! 🤘
@@pappyoutdoors9736 especially after the big jumps, those tight turns

Seems a lot like Minnaar was at the same age.
For real this kid has the potential to become the next Minnaar
Hes got no fear yet..
Fr bro will be the nyjah of mountain bikes

I lost count of how many times I would have died on that course. Mad skills!
Best coment! LOL
I was thinking the same thing.
I was thinking throughout the whole video that every time I heard a whistle that’s 1 life gone 😂
especially in the woods...
I counted 45 times for me.
Goldstone did it?!? WOW!!! Seeing this I understand why. He was so courages through some of this parts and I could tell where I would have layed down on at least 7-8 Moments where he just went straight trough! Amazing! Respect!!!
I had a feeling he would. The lads wheels don't appear to touch the ground.
You can only do it when you are young. With age it comes calculated risk and it's just not worth it to you any more! So yeah, if someone, young ones can break them records!
@@FireLysm tell that to greg minnaar
He is something else bro, congrats
That was insanely fast! Gutted for BK but Jackson's run was crazy.
Jackson's amount of bike control and precision is truely something 🙌🏽
..such a pleasure to witness 👊🏽
Nobody ever made hardline look flowy before. Legend

I'm going to buy a Can of Red Bull TOmorrow! ^^
That’s one hell of a course…. And he made it look easy…
A rookie victory is the best kind of victory. Proud of mr. Goldstone 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

I can't fathom it, full commitment and rapid execution. Mind must be operating as fast as an F1 driver
There's a video of him and Finn in Squamish, and he just disappears outta those berms. He's great at everything else, there's literally no flaws, but his cornering is god tier.
That was absolutely epic. The speed carried into the section before and after the road gap was mind blowing
Love the Doppler shift on the horn at the metal jump lol. What a run!
Dude was SHIFTINGGGGGGGGG
@@crisprapper I see what you did there!
I've watched this like 20 times and still can't get over how easily he skips through those root sections with stumps so easily.. unbelievable skills
The fact that he is only 18 this was his first Hardline is just mindblowing. Great rider. Perfect send.
1:22 OMG, how does he even smash berms this hard? Must have Legs of steel!

Unbelievable skill, racing efficiency and most of all, style. Absolute ruling on all levels here. Awesome run Jackson 🥳
He is a different level for his age. If he stays fit an all time great.
