excellent Vans you will love it, but my advice is to have it fitted with security locks asap and also a tracker, make sure that you protect your investment, they are unbelievable popular with thieving scrotes

actually yes, but my Mum stopped some guy in the street many years ago and said you look like my son, and it was John Parrot the snooker player
please make sure you get the aftermarket security locks and also a tracker these vans are irresistible to low lives, and it will get nicked if you are not careful,
Thanks Barrie mate. I've done my research and know they're susceptible. Mine's coming from Ford as new and I've requested deadlocks as an extra. I have a van vault that'll hopefully keep the buggers out even further if they do get in. Deadlocks or aftermarket locks should hopefully make the rats move on. Well i hope!
Nicest vans in a longtime, other that the VW's but then i can't warrant the extra 10k or so and also up against the new facelift custom's the VW's look kind of old and also come with their fair share of known faults eigh.
it riles me that the van is soo good and has a fantastic specification, but that some scrote can steal it in a matter of seconds
How are u finding your van? Thinking of ditching the car and small fiat doblo for this to use for business and pleasure...

yes, i was videoing the vehicle and wanted it an angle so the viewers could see the front and the sade, as i do in all my other videos whether the cars are equipped with parking sensors or not

When this chap opened up the rear doors did he say ‘barn doors’ ? Lol
yes they are referred to as "barn door" as it is a 2 door split configuration which open outwards from the middle as opposed to a "tailgate" which lifts up from the bottom and is one solid piece
Fair enough. Does the rear internal supplied 12v lighter work ? Or is it not wired in like some of the newer transit models

Good review however.....Its not user friendly van. Afer two weeks driving very similar one my biggest grapes are:
The cheap interior materials inside the cab.Radio with such big screen( unresponsive ) without sat nav in 2019??USB link only operating with Iphones?
Too many buttons on steering wheel taking your attention of the road.You have to think twice before use them because of confusion.Safety sensors interrupting audio if someone gets too close to you at back in the traffic.Those lower mirrors do not show enough bottom of the van when you try to park close to the kerb.
Audio system is terrible.
I notice Ford haven't upgraded their easy to get by locks.
Terrible security on ford vans I had to upgrade my locks at a cost of 800 euro.
Should have good security as standard not as an expensive extra oh and that new 2 litre euro 6 engine is a bag of bolts that'll break your heart.
i quite agree they are far too easy to break into and steal, but then so is everything these days, we had a transit stolen off the forecourt a few months ago, and its never been seen since, it is well worth getting the locks though if only to stop people trying to steal the contents and tools which are often left in a van at night

Locks only keep honest people out.
I use CDs
Well make the most of it as i dont think they will be fitting cd’s in cars for very much longer

pretty quiet, acceptable level and great to drive
Nice van just a shame ford won’t hadmit how easy there are to steal we had 3 stolen in past 18 months
totally agree, the problem does need addressing, we had one pinched too, our insurance company told us that they get 10 claims a day for stolen Transits

we have never had a problem with any except for Pikies keep trying to nick them off us, having said that when you see these Transits out accelerating Lamborghinis at the traffic lights, its no wonder that timing chains break
Is it true that these vans have a pathetic key lock that is easily breached? If so why doesn't Ford address it?
No it is not true, it is a great key and impossible to pick. Unless of course you buy the professional key picking system which is available on Ebay, then its easy. And there is also the tracker signal blocker again sold on Ebay, and the immobiliser reprogrammer which you can get guess where?
Sadly all cars are easy to pinch these days if you have a signal snatcher, yep easily available and to be honest if they want your vehicle they just break in your house. We block any car that has keyless go and keyless entry in on our forecourt and we also have faraday bags to put the keys in, Oh and a baseball bat if they try to break in, thats available on Ebay too
@@BarrieCrampton OK but I have seen vids where all you need to do is pop the black liner off the surround, get a pair of pliers and twist the mechanism and you've unlocked it totally. Was this a spoof vid, it sure looked real?
Neil Aspinall that is how all makes and models of car door locks work, pull the lock out which is easy done and there is a rod behind that works the lock. The idea is that the immobiliser stops you stealing the vehicle, the door lock just prevents you from getting in the car and stealing the contents without making a noise, ie smashing the window or popping the lock. The only thing different with Transits are they are very popular with a certain community. Also you can buy security locks for them, but they are more a visual deterrent than an actual deterrent
@@BarrieCrampton So is the Ford immobilizer easliy by passed as well? I ask these questions as I am about to pick up a 2020 Transit Custom version this week!
Neil Aspinall if you have the right equipment any immobiliser is easy to bypass, Just take precautions, get the security locks, and they will move on to the next one and nick theres
After 6 minutes I still did not know what gear box, what engine, how many horses. Go stand in the corner!
