    Did the heat from the heater ever cause any problems with the metal tire support brackets? Just curious if the tires got discolored/melted.

      not a problem at all. The radiators don't get that hot. (The summer sun inside of car is much hotter)

    so this is 83" (2108mm) and you had 1" to spare, so actually mounted 3 bikes 82" (2083mm) .. i have to fit two MTBs on my wall 2470mm (97.25") but my base height is at 620mm (25.6") which then makes my wall 1850mm (72.8").. wider has handlebars at 660mm (roughly 26") and the other one 590mm (23.25")..
    i see your spacing is 22" but you are cramping 3 bikes in 82".. i've also entertained the idea for racks not being inline or bikes hanging at an angle.. what would be the minimum recommended spacing from top rack to ceiling? i am trying to avoid touching as you did in the video, as i am 5'8" so my goal is to make it as low as possible.. and i don't want to play a guessing game and drill my wall million times.. i think the best would be to mount the bottom bike and then just see where to put the top one..
    anyways, great product, when i first saw it on the internet coule of years back i knew i will be using it one day as it really saves space and when you live in an apartment that's a life saver

    Does this work with three mountain bikes?

    • @cyclingskills
      @cyclingskills  2 роки тому +1

      I can, but you will need a lot more ceiling height for three mountain bikes because of the wider handlebars.

      Hard to answer, depends a lot on wheel size and bikes size. Two bikes will definitely fit.

    So drywall is holding it not wall stud? Or would wall stud be better?

    • @cyclingskills
      @cyclingskills  3 роки тому

      depends on the weight of the bikes and who installed your sheetrock :) here is more info:dahanger.co/pages/faq

    I’d rather drill and plug the brick. Are those wheels level?

    Mmmm. How does this affect the pedal bearing and connecting rods?

      I feel like they'd be fine. You put so much more force when riding them than about the 20-30 pounds it is holding when it's on the wall like this.

    Why would you not alternate the bikes so you don't have to worry about handlebars bumping?

    • @cyclingskills
      @cyclingskills  3 роки тому +1

      because they are bumping into the hub (wheel above and not the handlebar above). Alternating only works when you lean your bikes on flat ground against each other. Hope this helps. Cheers
